Of all the remakes of games this should have been remade for all platforms. I would love to play this on next gen n my ps5. Omg I still have a completely functioning SNES with 2 controllers n the only game I have is this one lol. Cinder was like the only character I knew reliably how to do an Ultra on when I was a young kid playing this game and man everytime I hit it perfectly and cinder vanished I used to just wait for the glory, the moment that I was about to hear, ULTRRAAAAA, ULTRAAAA, ULTRAAA. Not even New KI can replicate that feeling nor has any fighting game in existence ever gotten close. KI For SNES was really a masterpiece of its time and one of the hypest fighting games you could have ever experienced.
That because if you didnt bought the snes with killer instinct theme, it brought a disc with the theme songs and a little book with some tips and tricks

You could always tell, by their favorite character, how good someone in this game was. If you're favorite character was someone like Combo, Saberwulf, Riptor, among others, you knew that they really were legit. Cinder, Glacius, Spinal, maybe even Fulgore were among the easier players to control
no shit hey. When i was young i mastered a few characters because their combos were easy to do and join up, these easy characters were sabrewulf & orchid, I started moving onto spinal and fulgore but no way was I able to master jago, cinder, glacier and thunder they were a pain.
The danger moves in the arcade had much more frames of animation and used many more sprites. For example when Jago would stab his apponent in the chest with his sword you would see them clutching their chest as they fall to the floor. When Tj Combo grabs an opponents head and breaks their neck you would see their head twisted around, all those things are missing from the SNES version.
Facts man….I remember the old school days of Arcade gaming…. marvel Vs Capcom, Killer Instinct, Soul Blade, Initial D, hell even Tekken 😭 I spent literally every second in the arcade after school until it closed….that was the main reason I went around cutting grass and buying candy at the store to sell to other kids at school….eventually I got so good that I barely spent any money at the arcade 😊

I remember playing against a friend and while he was trying to do a finisher I was able to snap out of danger and beat him instead. He accused me of cheating but I didn't know you could do that in the first place.

I remember my older sister buying the SNES that came bundled with Killer Instinct and the Killer Cuts CD. The only reason she purchased it was because the store didn’t have the system that came bundled with Donkey Kong Country. I have so many memories with this game. Fulgore was my favorite.

There was this time I was playing with Fulgore 4:23 and I started a combo and out of nowhere the guns came out of his back and started shooting and then Ultimate announcement and I was like WTF!!! aaaahhhggg!! This game is a really good example of when something is taken so far it becomes ridiculous... the trend back in the 90s being the increasingly-long combos... I remember when discovering a 3 or 4-hit combo in Street Fighter was exciting.

Unless you love to play this game regularly you won't have much fun. It's not a pick up and play game. You have to memorize button combinations for combos to do any real damage. I played it a lot in the past, but if I would play it now I would have to start all over again with that. >_< Thanks for this video though. Now I finally saw them all.

In 90s, an arcade in my neighborhood had this game. This guy was playing Killer Instinct while his girlfriend was watching. I joined the game as Thunder (my favorite) and I ended up beating him with ultra combo (like 1:56). The guy was angry and impressed at the same time, but his girlfriend was just shaking her head at both us lol.

I like how all the Ultra combos are 27-31 hits, except Orchid, who has 42! And her Ultimate is more than double the hits of many of the others, too. Also, it's a shame you didn't include her flasher finishing move vs another Orchid. Her opponent's reaction is different, but just as funny.
I've seen a 49 but I think that was arcade and a glitch because it didn't have the usual spin kick setup. If I can find the video again I'll post back.

Thank you, very helpful. I was finally able to do Orchid's frog fatality, as well as her ultimate. I'm going to try to do the rest of the characters fatalities, and ultimates, which I wasn't able to do before.
The fatality noise use to scare the crap out of me when I played this.

OMG! This game is still awesome! I loved this game on SNES when is was a kid. :D Im so sad i sold my SNES years ago with all of my games like Donkey Kong,Super Mario Allstar,Super Mario World,MK3 Killer Instict and lot of other good games. :(

I like how all the Ultra combos are 27-31 hits, except Orchid, who has 42! And her Ultimate is more than double the hits of many of the others, too.
Also, it's a shame you didn't include her flasher finishing move vs another Orchid. Her opponent's reaction is different, but just as funny.

I've seen a 49 but I think that was arcade and a glitch because it didn't have the usual spin kick setup. If I can find the video again I'll post back.

Awesome video. I remember the first time i accidently got a ultimate. I was freaking out i was like 12 , 13. Best ultra i ever got was a 49hit ultra with orchid.
