- All PEMP Android 11 Screen can update to Android 12 version.
Note:
1. if your Android 11 software version is lower than 2.2.3, you must first update it to 2.2.3;
2. then update it to the transition version 2.2.7 or higher; you can only update it to Android 12 version 1.3.6 successfully;
3. after you update to Android 12 version, you can't go back to Android 11 version.

How to get the id8 menu?
Step 1. Please unzip the OEM.zip file to get the OEM file
Put the oem file to your U disk, connect with PEMP Android USB, enter factory settings.
Settings/factory settings/pass word 070305/Prifile import/import configuration

Step 2. after import the OEM file, you need to go to factory settings, select ID8 in UI Configuration, wait 10 seconds and reboot the device and you will get ID8 UI

I did the upgrade and have the id8 interface now. Love the customization. PEMP team thank you for the support.
Upgraded and zlink 5.3.28 consistently won't connect to Bluetooth. It starts on BT screen and restarts. The only way to connect the phone is to toggle Bluetooth on and off. Should connect automatically at start up.
Would the OEM update for the ID8 menu work on the Android 10 version of your product? I see it is just an XML file. Does it require Android 12?
Is anybody else experiencing problems with this new update? Head unit not connecting to your phones wifi or any wifi at all? If so, how did you fix it. I've been going back and forth for weeks with Pemp contacts, and they seem to be no help at all. I didn't have this issue until I updated to android 12.
I have no AUX in my W221 Mercedes. Which options i have still to get a NDRPID SYSTEM ?

The system is not upgrading the ID8. Once pushed import configuration nothing happen. A message appears "no file detected". I used the same usb fat32 formatted.

I updated but I don’t have the id8 interface if I go factory UI Configuration I see only ID 7. Also zlink wired is not working any more 😢

1. I suggest you move out of the Weather App, as it requires a PEMP connection to the network to be activated.
2. you can set the miles to KM in the unit selection in factory settings.

Sorry, the PEMP software is only suitable for PEMP products. I am worried that the wrong software will cause the product to not work.

you can remove the weather app on the main menu, you also let PEMP android connect the network to activate it.

@@KingHannes19 yes, it can not uninstall, you can open the wifi connect your phone's hotspot get the network, and you need install the gps Antenne，it will auto activate.

You might have to connect it to the aux jack and select that as your source (aux) like on my F30.

I updated to android 12 and now I can no longer access 3rd party apps like iTunes or Prime video when using my hotspot and not Bluetooth. This update is terrible. Please either send me the link or tell me how to get back to android 11. I purchased this head unit to be able to watch TV and videos.
Please don't worry, Android 12 features completely override Android 11.
Please open PEMP Android WIFI without wireless CarPlay connection,go to connect your hotspot when it connects to the network. It can still play the third party APPs you want (of course you need to install these APPs to PEMP Android first).
@pempcar I tried that multiple times. It doesn't work. In an email you guys told me to factory reset the system, I did as instructed, and now I get an error message saying, "There was a problem communicating with Google services. Try again later. " It's been a week, and I'm still waiting for you to respond to my last email in reference to this issue.
can I change the weather reference app?
If you don't need the weather app, you can disable it in settings. Because the weather APP requires location positioning and network connection to be effective.

You can install it yourself according to the video. Because bmw 2 installation is really not difficult.

Yes, you can update to android 12 or 13.
But if your product is working fine, it is recommended that you do not update it. Because after updating to Android 12 or Android 13, their functions are exactly the same.

why the radio does not see the flash drive and the phone?
You need to connect the USB stick to the PEMP's USB port.
It cannot check your phone. You can only connect your phone via CarPlay and Android auto.

What about android 10. How do I upgrade to android 12? I’m currently running APP Ver: Ksw-Q-Userdebug_OS_v3.9.1. How do I upgrade to android 12?
I was told to order the NBT EVO instead, but I told others about it and they said they ordered the android 11 and it runs perfectly for them. smh
sorry, Android 10 use the snapdragon 625, Qualcomm has no plans to update it to Android 12.
