- Well folks, this video was a LOOOONG time coming, but the experiment is finally complete!
Watch as I spend 30 DAYS testing whether or not a solution made from chamomile tea and lemon juice (a popular diy recipe for "naturally lightening hair") actually works.
*Keep in mind that everyone is different, therefore these results are unique to me and my hair. If you have tried this and it worked for you, that's awesome! This video is simply documenting my personal experience with using this mixture 🙂

It's better a whole lemon than that juice, that juice might have some other ingredients you don't want
the problem is that you didn't use enough chamomile, it has to be very concentrated ,, and u don't have to stay in the sun, luuuuv ur voice,,
Chamomile may not really lighten hair, but for those with silver/grey hairs, it does make them especially sparkly. I use it in the summer for a fun way to do "color" in a very low key, safe & inexpensive way

Interesting. The chamomile works in just a few days on my daughter’s hair. She has naturally brown hair with golden highlights. Her hair gets even more bright and golden with this treatment.

Alison, l just watched this and loved what you did. I love your voice and humourous manner. I didn't think applying makeup could be so entertaing and informative at the same time.
I know there's a lot of lightening sprays on the market which contain peroxide, but I have found 2 brands that do a totally natural herbal one, and you don't have to sit out in the sun to use any of these (including the lemon and chamomile method) you can just use a hair dryer. It's actually just the heat from the sun that activates these ingredients, not anything special the sun does. The natural sprays on the market are called Klorane lightening spray and Lighten Luxe. If you wanted to try these you'd only have to dry it for 5 minutes or until your hair is dry, that's it. Hope that helps. I'd be curious to see you do a video on these!
There's are a couple of shampoos that Mexicans love to use. One is "Ricitos de Oro" and the other is Grisi Manzanilla (Chamomile) shampoo. Definitely lightens hair over time.
Do u need to be in the sun with the ricictos de oros one or inside it workz

Hi Alison, you should try to do some vlogs. Im watching you from Argentina.
What I do is soak my hair with the chamomile tea. All of my hair. Soaking wet. Like dripping. And use a hairdrier to apply heat and dry it completly. I wash it thenext day.
And before drying it I spray a tad bit of a random chamomile lighteing spray from the store (main ingredient being water and hydrogen peroxide, of course).
But I don't use a lot of it. Just a few sprays here and there. I think it works. Maybe it's the heat from the hairdrier.
But it might just be the spray.

All you needed was lemon juice. We GenXers used to buy a product called Sun In to lighten our hair which was lemon juice in a bottle. However if you had dark hair like mine it turned orange. 😂
