  • I'm sure many of you color your hair, dye your hair, bleach your hair, tone your hair and use your hair as another form of expression and I'm here to tell you so was I.
It was Tuesday October 10th 2017 that I used a different hair product and within 20 minutes my hair was falling out. It only took 20 minutes. One second I was applying the hair product then I was washing it out thoroughly but more than the product came out. If only I'd read the "do not use on bleached hair" warning on the instructions. I searched to buy cool and real hair wigs, to buy realistic hair extensions, to buy long natural tape ins but unfortunately by hair was now chemical burned too short and wigs are not cheap.
I decided I cant hide myself away forever, I have to face the people who know me and show them my story so hopefully I wont have to explain in person how I lost all my hair.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE THIS VIDEO it hurts but I would prefer everyone to watch this before seeing me in person or maybe by sharing this video people will be more aware of what can happen to them
PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS BELOW, I would like to answer everyone and potentially make a Q and A video about my hair transformation fail.
Thank you for the love and support.

Ik this video is old as hell but I feel the need to say it.
For those who won't see her follow up video: she used relaxer on her bleached hair. Relaxer is NOT made for Caucasian hair and causes any processed hair to fall out. This is a result of user error. I'm only saying this because people told her to sue, but she said she's letting it go because it isn't worth it. Even if it was "worth it" she has no case. This was user error. It was on her for not reading the labels and warnings relaxers have on them. I know it's not easy to admit she made a mistake and own up to it, but being vague about what happened just lets people go on a witch hunt for a company that didn't do anything wrong. It was relaxer. It wasn't made for her. She used it wrong. Her hair fell out. Always read labels and research chemicals before putting them on your head.

@@milumav You're absolutely right! I understand that hair is so so important to people, so that's all the more reason to do your research before putting something on your hair. Granted this video is very old, I'm not a fan of the witch hunt this created against a product that was used incorrectly by the wrong demographic. Even if she wanted to, she cannot sue others fof her own negligence.

@@Beatles0223 Ikr. To reiterate, it's NOT made for Caucasian hair and causes ANY processed hair to fall out. This was purely user error. If the purpose was to educate other people, I wish she would be more transparent that it was a product that wasn't even made for her that she used wrong. This is an old video but I hope other people learn not to use relaxer on processed hair, and that Caucasians need to stick to their lanes for hair products. Some products aren't made for you and that's okay. Do your research before using any product on your body.

@@killme7692 I'm confused, African hair is weaker than European hair. This means that anything that's suitable for African hair should be less damaging to European hair. Products made for African hair are centered around them being either gentler or more conditioning, so her hair definitely shouldn't have fallen out if it wouldn't even have made African hair fall out.

Not always. Damage to the hair follicle can cause alopecia. This is why you do a patch test and some hair dyes strictly say "do not apply to scalp " once your hair falls out it will not likely grow exactly how it was. Either it changes colors slightly or/and texture.

I’m a licensed hair stylist. It would be beneficial for everyone if she said what exact product she used and how it was applied and her hair history.
But from looking at her instagram, she’s been dying her died Platinum blonde for over a year. My professional guess is she overlapped too many sessions of bleach on each other through time. And didn’t use a protein bonder (olaplex, redken ph bonder) and most likely used a very high developer.
Majority of box dyes and bleach dyes you find at the drug store have very high developers. Which should only be used by a professional.

I couldn't imagine. I was devastated when I had to cut my hair due to extreme knotting during labor. It was almost a pixie by the end from my middle back. I was prepared to lose a lot of hair and I still had some. I still cried. I cried about my hair for honestly 2 years until it grew to a length I liked.

About 4 years ago, I bought this new bleach from L’Oréal. It was supposed to be for Damaged hair. So I put it on my head, and waited. My brothers girlfriend, rinsed my hair, I asked her how bad it was, she said it was okay, that it wasn’t bad. I put the towel on my head and went to the bathroom, took off the towel, and there was bald patches. I had a break down, and realized their was only one thing I could do. I took out the clippers and buzzed it off. I cried for hours. My hair was my blanket, my comfort. Suddenly I had to live without that. It was very rough, but I tried to look at it as a positive thing. I was going to have virgin hair again. Now, my hair is Thick, and is still short and growing, but I’m learning new ways to fix it. It will be okay, I promise. It will be rough at first, but it gets easier. Much love❤️ You still are beautiful!

Honey, lemme tell you something. I am 38 years old. I was never the pretty girl, the girl with the good hair, the popular girl, etc. I was bullied and had ZERO confidence in myself. Then I said to myself, "fuck this" when I was 20,and I shaved my hair as short as yours. I immediately regretted it. I thought I looked like a boy, that I was hideous - but I started getting compliments. A lot. There were some haters, and it's hard to not let that get to you, but I decided to go with the people who loved it, who said they never noticed my eyes were so beautiful, or my smile was so nice. I decided to walk with confidence. I never grow my hair past shoulder length now, and I keep an undercut almost always. You will be fine! I think short hair takes away that thing we hide behind, and it's a very vulnerable feeling. But if you can EMBRACE that, and walk with confidence, it will radiate from you and everyone will see your beautiful. (Yes, I meant "your" as in the beauty that belongs to you and you only, but also YOU'RE beautiful.) Let it shine.

For everyone wondering what was the product, my educated guess is a chemical relaxer. She probably picked it up assuming that since it said the words “deep condition” on the box she probably thought that’s what it does. She even wrote in that description that they box said NOT to use on bleached hair. Please always read your products before buying them.

Mind you, we were in cosmetology school, so she thought people would judge her because of this. At the end of the day, it's hair. It will grow back. Just take care of it from here on out and it will be healthy and back to where it used to be in no time. Good luck sweetheart 💓

I know this is a few years old, but wanted to make sure you know about Isoplus Neutralizing Shampoo - it ensures all active chemicals are out of your hair. Its generally used post-relaxer but also works for hair bleach, permanent hair dye etc. I've been bleaching and dyeing my hair 35years and until I started using neutralizing shampoo, I never realized how much hair dye/bleach/active chemicals remained in my hair post-dyeing/bleaching. The condition of my hair is completely different (better) since using neutralizing shampoo. ADD: I'm not saying this would've prevented hair loss, but using it post-bleach prevents further damage, and using it as soon as you felt your hair falling would've stopped additional hair loss - and allowed you ensure all relaxer was removed.

A lot of people on social media with long hair are trying different wigs to change there look. As well a lot of women are doing the shave look on purpose. Girl you are just in style. Be thankful to God you don't have chemical burns and you are with no hair. Cancel patients when they loose there hair is worse and they somehow get strength to go on. You strong as I can see and you will get your beautiful har soon.

I can't tell you to not be sad because I know exactly how u feel. I had very long hair at one point and I absolutely adored it. Then it happened...
I woke up on a Monday and there was something very wrong.
    I couldn't breathe.
I felt like I was drowning.
    I couldn't scream or anything.
It was the scariest thing I have ever been through.
My parents came in to see me blue in the face and gasping for air.
I was rushing to the hospital.
I found out that day that I had lung cancer.
    I was
    Numb.
I didn't feel anything, really. I was so shocked that I really didn't know what to think.
It really sunk in when I started chemo and I lost my hair.
It was really traumatic for me. I had never had my hair shorter than shoulder length, let alone gone.
I completely understand how you feel, but it will get better. Trust me.
I went into remission last year and I currently have no evidence of cancer (NEC). I hope this helped somehow. 😊

Aww, I'm so sorry.. 🥺 I'm sure you have an inner beauty. A sweet personality is much more valuable than a pretty face or looks. ❤
(btw i use this example whenever I'm explaining beauty) .... ''Would you rather have an attractive looking cookie that could stun even professional bakers, but when you eat it you wish you could throw it away twice? ..Or a cookie that looks like something you might get out of a little child's bakery, but will taste so good that it will leave you wanting more forever..?''
...I mean in this, as in about inner and outer beauty... 😊 Of course there aren't just 'cookies' (or people) who have to be just within those boundaries, there are beautiful and kind people, just as there are mean and plain looking people. Don't think that outer beauty is everything, 'cuz it isnt. 😅 Personality is what matters the most. Take care, I hope you have a great day!

I had a similar experience about 20 years ago, my hair broke off about ¼inch from my scalp. It is a horrible experience, and yes traumatic. It is hair, and yes it will grow back, but that doesn't necessarily help in the moment. Just know we love you, it happens, and you'll be OK. Have a good cry and then work on getting it back. Scarves, wigs, great makeup, jewelry, are all very helpful. You don't need hair to be beautiful or kind.

But let me tell you, that you actually looked really beautiful with that buzz cut, it suited you very nicely. I wish you all the best ❤

A relaxer is a hair treatment that will CHEMICALLY straighten afro, really curly or wavy textured hair. The active ingredient in relaxers is alkali and some others ammonium thioglycolate, or potassium hydroxide. The relaxer breaks down the hair protein and will permanently alter it. Black women and men, or people with coiled tresses, use this treatment if they desire permanent straight hair. This product can be dangerous if not used properly. Can cause hair to break off and fall out, it can burn and eat the scalp resulting in open wounds. This product isn't meant for people with naturally straight hair, it defeats the purpose and will only damage your hair because like I said it breaks down the protein structure of hair follicles. Relaxers can be dangerous for any hairtype if not used properly. Please do research. If she really did use a relaxer, She should thank her lucky stars it didn't cause any scalp damage. She has healthy hair follicles, her shit will grow back.

Lel that's why she lost it, your hair is just freaking hair... It's nothing else.. sociopaths and manipulators use all these cosmetics to draw attention to themselves and get people to like them instead of having geinuine personality , most (not all) women are shallow and there's not much to them besides makeup nails and hair spray. Why don't you try swimming? ..jogging , biking, drawing, painting , musical instruments etc.. try being passionate about something other then yourself... I'm not trying to be harsh but everything happens for a reason.. this girl is crying because she burned her hair off lol 😂 she did it.. nobody else.. but now let's pity and feel bad for her lel like wow.. how far us humans can go I really can't believe it. She is a warrior now because she came out and embarrassed herself for burnimg her hair off.. let's all tell her how beautiful she is leeeeeelll

Andre Onque love how you generalize almost every woman to be shallow and say all this bad things about other people without realizing you two are bad cause every human is bad and stupid in some way, it’s in our nature. You’re generalizing every woman to a personality only because of what they wear and put on their faces. What does that make you... shallow?

    • @user-yz8wd9gm7c
      @user-yz8wd9gm7c 4 года назад +8

@@andreonque1237 Y'know, having colorful hair doesn't automatically make you a sociopath or a manipulator, some people are just curious about how a different color would look like on their hair and/or just like experimenting, some people even use their hair as a way to express themselves.
For you it may seem that she's just crying for no reason, and that it's just hair, but please remember that different people have different things they care about, keep in mind that no one is ever the same, we're all different and we all have our reasons to cry or get upset.
I'm really sorry if i may sound mean or rude, but please.. just take a moment to think before you call someone a sociopath, manipulative or just shallow for no reason, it sometimes may seem that some people are just shallow, but trust me... they aren't, everyone has something unique about themselves, some may just be too scared to embrace those things, because they have their own reasons, or they just don't want other people to judge.
Seriously though, you may think that you really know someone, but in reality you might not know them at all.

When my daughter was 20 she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of ovarian cancer. She took the diagnosis like a trooper, what broke her down was being bald on her 21st Birthday. So we postponed her birthday..until the chemo was done and her hair had starting coming back..she had a wig we called Cristabelle, because when Cristabelle came out, she was fierce! A horrible thing to have happen to you, but those eyes will rock any look, and hair grows back.

My hair fell out randomly about 7 years back... 3 dermatologists later we still didn't know why it fell out. I paid for an expensive laser hair therapy, I was very fortunate that it worked and I have hair again. it's not very thick but you can't see my scalp through my hair anymore.
I haven't been able to grow my hair longer than a pixie since my hair loss, if it grows longer than 5 inches it starts to fall out in masses again.
I love having short hair now! It looks badass and can be very feminine with the right accessories.
Get out there and rock that short hair! It suits you so much, and it will grow back again if you're kind to it. In the mean time, try and enjoy the experience. You'll be fine, you're gorgeous and you can make it work!

girl you look fire w short hair and try to keep in mind that everything happens for a reason. You might learn a lot about yourself during your journey growing your hair back out. You don’t have to hide inside all day and take all the mirrors down and go off social media just because you don’t have hair. I know it’s easier said than done but there’s no changing what happened. All you can do now is embrace how you look instead of being miserable. Hair isn’t everything and beauty is so much more than what’s on the outside. I believe in you!

I think you could help others that are going through this and maybe help people who are wanting to process their hair in some way that there are possible problems that could happen. You are still beautiful and should use the short hair as a new look for you. Your hair will grow back and you can play with styles at each length as it grows. Don't stop making videos now.
