Thank you for sharing your information with us! Incredibly nice to have someone say it how it is instead of sugar coating it or leading us down the bad path.
I just discovered your videos and I'm finding them to be very easy to follow and intriguing. I currently own a small business (not crafts) but I'm tossing around the idea of switching to a different path and your videos are giving me a lot to consider. Thank you!
I have watched a lot of your videos. You are exactly the role model I have been looking for. Real, honest, and secrets most business owners will not give away. I want to start a cricut business, but have no social media platforms. Do you have any advise? P.S. I have had social media platforms in the past. Thanks for all you do!!!
Thank you so much! You made my day. My advice would be to start using them! Everyone is on social media and if you want sales you have to get your product in front of as many eyes as you can. Craft fairs would be another alternative. Check out this video where I talk about how I got sales ruclips.net/video/EayIsBYdNp8/видео.html
Thank you for the information. People look at me like I'm crazy for running a business like a business and request payment up front and say "well how would I know if I like it?" People are going to change their minds and have you stuck with the bill.
Thank you Thank you Thank you... You have answered lots of questions that I didn't even know who to ask. Legal stuff is important and I don't want to be fined for something I should have informed myself on. God bless
Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. Can't tell you how much I appreciate the info I didn't know about when it comes to actually getting started in starting my own little business.
Thank you! Stay positive, we all had to start somewhere! Just keep watching RUclips videos and joining Cricut groups on Facebook. I'm always learning new things, still! You've got this!
Watched so many videos on youtube, and I really like your videos, straight to the point. No beating around the bush. Which easy press would you recommend.? Thanks
Thank you very much! I would go with the 12x10". It's actually on sale on Cricut's website for $189 right now. www.shareasale.com/u.cfm?d=840470&m=51766&u=2320695
I personally use a 15x15" 5-in-1 heat press like this. It's big enough to do large projects like sweatshirts and comes with all kinds of attachments amzn.to/3tDW4si
@@Cricuter thank you I will look into the links. I wasn’t sure on getting the large one because of the small designs like elephants ears. But I am so glad I watched your video after spending 45 mins with a regular iron on a cushion I made for a friend.. we live and learn x
All great advice! Number one rule so important payment first. Your time and your money. McDonald’s will ask for their money down to the penny soooo down to the penny. I love how you mentioned the copyright information as well so important and I feel not mentioned enough because people think it’s discouraging it should however be encouraging gives you a chance to be more creative. This is a great video!🌺
I see people post their homemade Nike and Victoria Secret projects in Cricut groups and I cringe so hard! Some people really have no concept of copyright laws 🤦♀️ but anywaysss thanks for watching and commenting 😄❤
I’m so glad I found your channel, I’m loving all the content you have put out. I’ve had my cricut for a couple months now and have been stuck with how to navigate it. Your videos have been so helpful. I just had one question with people selling Disney related items how are they not getting in trouble I see it all the time on Etsy
Thank you! The Disney stuff you see on Etsy is totally illegal and it's just a matter of time until they get caught. A lot of time Etsy will shut down peoples accounts. There's lawyers whose job is to search for things like this. I agree though I see it ALL the time and it's just people being risky trying to make a buck.
That happened to me, a bad client contacted me and said that if I could customize one of my products at that time I was very new in the world of sales 🥴, I told her that yes I can!, my big mistake was not charging her before she made me do it more than 6 times ( I know my fault) the product was very nice many people told me that but that bad customer said change this change, change, I spent a lot of material, effort and a lot of time 🤑! in the end she just disappeared 😂a bad experience from which I learned Thank you very much for your video! I follow you🙂 love your work and the way you explain it THANK YOU!!!😇🥰🙏
Oh no, I'm sorry you had to deal with that! People suck sometimes 😒 but at least you learned from it and moved forward. Did you sell a lot during Christmas?
You are so right about just picking up graphics where ever you find them and thinking you can use them. Especially licensed and trade marked images. BIG MISTAKE! Disney especially is very hard on those they find doing this. I would rather have a subscription to a service like you said, where you came be assured you can use the images for commercial purposes. Better safe than sorry.
I have a question. What do you think it's the best platform to sell ok when you are starting your Cricut business? And which one when you have more experience?
I’m in the Uk and looking into doing this as I’m unable to work full time due to a disability. How much would I need to spend to get started for example, how much on the machine, tools and accessories?! Thank you
I prefer this one for a number of reasons. I like swing aways over clamshells. They're safer and you don't get bunching in the back. I like how it comes with different attachments like a mug press. And you can adjust the pressure which you cannot do with the auto press types. amzn.to/3KocI8D
I’m honestly very confused about the licensing. I fell in love with this art because I saw so many people selling tumblers of characters I love and I was hoping to make some of characters that don’t have a lot of merchandise. So I’m not allowed to do that? Man that was my plan. If I draw the picture of the characters myself then could I sell it that way? I didn’t realize it was so complicated. But the video was very helpful. Thanks!
Unfortunately there are copyright and trademark laws that you have to work around so you can't make most designs like Disney, nickelodeon, sports teams, schools, etc. I get most of my designs and ideas from Creative Fabrica. They come with a commercial license so I know I'm safe
I have a question related to what you said about the sports teams: If you buy material from a fabric store, that has a college or professional sports team on it, make something with it and sell it, is it still illegal to sell the product since you spent money on the fabric to make the product? Hope that makes sense. It’s something I’ve been worried about with making tie blankets with sports teams fleece. Any help with figuring this out would be greatly appreciated.
Ok I have a question about the licensed space. Let's say I draw my own image from scratch of a Disney character and put it on a t-shirt and sell it. Is that considered a copyright infringement?
which is the link to the commercial. ? i’m a bit confused about selling on my etsy site waiting on the cricut joy excited but confused about what fonts are allowed etc or is it just disney pepsi etc off limits
How do I download the creative fabrica and bring it to cricut design space I download and don’t know where to retrieve it. Cricut says we do not work with this file so frustrating where does it go
I'm sorry you're having such a hard time. If it's not a Mac I would click start, type in downloads, and then select the file and install it. Then in Design Space upload it.
Hmm that's a tricky question and I don't want to give you the wrong answer. I would say it depends. Like if you were trying to stick a decal on a Coach purse or a Disney toy, like really well known brands than you might run into some legal issues. But if you bought a plain bag off Amazon then I think that's okay. I buy blanks from all over that are made from different companies. I think as long as the design you're using isn't copyrighted, it's okay. I always get my designs from Creative Fabrica www.creativefabrica.com/ref/237783/ so they come with the commercial licenses.
Please help me figure out how to get my creative fabrica stuff I push download and I can’t find What I downloaded so frustrating so you know where it goes
