  • TANUNDA - Barossa Valley, South Australia
Tanunda is a town situated in the Barossa Valley region of South Australia, 70 kilometres north-east of the state capital, Adelaide. This beautiful town is thankfully only 20 minutes from Gawler where I live, so I am indeed lucky to be living so close by.
Award winning and internationally renowned wineries surround the town and with it, also means some fantastic dining options. Follow me as I walk through the main street having two lunches at Char Barossa and Kampung Kitchen.

You missed the best pasties in the world at Apex Bakery, in Tanunda. I drive up from Adelaide regularly just to buy one straight out of the oven. There are plenty of food gems in Tanunda, and yes, I lived there for 25 years. Wonderful place to live.

Thanks .I'll be looking forward to
revisiting The Barossa Valley when I visit Adelaide in September .I also must revist "The Bakery On O'Connell " at North Adelaide . Open 24 / 7 , ( ! ? ) it has a fantastic selection of pies , including Adelaide's very own " Pie Float "

Ah yes... I head to Vilis for my 24/7 pie float fix! They're the best. They've recently opened one more outlet in Elizabeth, close to Gawler... If you're ever hungry at 1am.

Great video Ryan . I love the Barossa area , Tanunda and Lyndoch are two of my favourites , you did Tanunda proud . I will have to give the satay place a go when I’m next there in a little over 4 weeks . We are staying at an Airbnb in Gawler , an old cottage near the railway station . I suggest perhaps a visit to the Lord Lyndoch , a nice little pub/ restaurant and also for the best English style pub I have ever visited in Australia , the Fox and Firkin at Tea Tree Gully . Cheers mate , my best wishes to you and your hubby .

I was actually looking at plots of land to build in Lyndoch... Yes I love it out there.

@@ryansofly . Yes , Lyndoch is on our radar too , looking at established homes though. At our time our life we don’t have the time to wait though. Builders have quoted at least 18 months to build after land registration , that’s too long for us . Hope to catch up soon mate with a bit of luck .👍

Thanks for showing me your SA backyard. I would not know any of these places if not for content creators like yourself showcasing your state. See you've roped Ant in to do more filming for you. hehe Your lunch looks so good! Salivating. Lamb is one of my fave meats so I would also have selected your lunch. I jsut got back from Malaysia and have eaten SO many Satays. Will have to visit Tanunda for my satay fix.

Urgh just say lamb three times, and I'll appear in a puff of smoke. Lol... I love lamb. Did you see the last bit when the drone jerked backwards? My controls were pushed forwards but the wind was so strong...
