- BAROSSA VALLEY
Tony swaps his walking shoes for a steering wheel as his biggest walk yet takes him to the beautiful towns and wineries of South Australia’s Barossa Valley. In the 160 years since German immigrants came here fleeing religious persecution, this beautiful region has become synonymous with fine wine, and good food. Plenty of cracking good history makes Tony’s journey one to savour.
Top shelf programming Tony and crew. Much appreciated. From Alberta.
oh hush ... now all these people will know about Barossa Valley wines. Penfold is a true experience :) The rest of 'em? Definitely worth time exploration ...
just love the guy the way he is presenting the way he just treat ppl dang it lets say we want more no matter where it is filmed
The best historian about Australia and hes not even an Australia. At least we can reward him with an honerary degree or our best award "order of Australia "or something.
We had our honeymoon in Angaston. I love the Barossa.
You should see the Melbourne Town Hall Grand Organ - it's amazing!
tony robinson for life.
Tony rocks!! Keep them coming!
Australia produces the best wine in the world. My opinion, but I have tried a lot of wines.
Props to Johann for not getting caught up in purity culture and making an awesome story with his wife and life.
fantastic tony! thank you
Спасибо, очень познавательно.
As a Victorian, I'd kill to be there.
Q: What did the grape say when it was run over by a car?
A: Nothing, it just gave out a little whine.🤣
Having lived in the Barossa for many years, it is a wonderful place to live. I note a sign for Apex Bakery in the video. World-famous for their pasties. People drive from interstate just to buy one. Made in a wood fired oven and spectacularly Barossa through and through. By the way Tony, although Penfolds Grange has the reputation, there are better wines than Grange these days in the Barossa. I will keep them secret as I collect wine, and don't want prices to skyrocket.
Great critique and credit for Tony... by the way, I've been wanting to visit Australia, could you PM me the vineyard you referenced?
I have a vine growing in my backyard from maribor slovenia which dates back 400 years. So, I'm not trying to be smug, but the vine mentioned here doesn't come close to oldest at all.
Cafa shot Tony entering, Tin Kettle chapter, Refreshing to see people reading the paper chatting and not face planted in a laptop or phone.
25:23 even if I was filthy rich I wouldn't buy a wine that costed that much, just on principle. I'd feel bad for how many thousands of people I could have fed
"Can I borrow you?" "Sure!" I want also learn to handle womans like that :D
This guy seams drunken but it is great.
le pant, le pant, Tony really knows how to do a show, right?
brutally attacked, ravished and left for dead. just like the British empire did to the rest them
3 down votes- funny!
Still 3... no accounting, eh?
Varossa? It starts with a B.
Great presentations but embarrassingly set up all of his shows
At 19mins thought it was a abo tribe banging metal obects. Just missing a fire and some damper!
Love Tony's shows, but damn the camerawork on this is TRASH ! !
What's a gimbal 🙄? SIGH
Love Tony's walks. As for the Barossa Valley, it's totally overrated. We expected to see undulating hills, deep narrow gorges more akin to the Scottish Highlands with the vines growing either side, not a flat expanse of land - where's the Valley?? Funny when you conjure in your mind how one thinks a certain place will look then you're disappointed when seeing it for real. Oh well, such is life.
