Finally a basic yet perfect explanation of how to wire it thx for the vid . But I heard the farad 1=1000 2=2000 etc watts so I'm kinda confused I got 2 12" infinity kappa subs 1240w each and a pioneer champion series 1600 watt 2ch amp.. 125a inline fuse n 4 gauge power wires from profamance teqnik said to b good up to 3000w....
It would be good to have something between 2 and 4 Farads. It also wont hurt to have more than you need when it comes to farads. But I would say you would need at least 2 farads with that system
Another thing that helps check to see if theres a model of your car with more features chances are it has a stronger alternator swap yours for that models
Thank you Rockville lady I was doing that capacitor thing for years and I was always wondering what that little grey thing was for but now I'm running a yellow top battery caps too bad they don't make car amps like they used to any suggestions
Capacitors don't magically add current to a circuit. It's a trade off, your headlight may stop dimming but your sub amp is getting a less clean supply. After that big bass note happens and the capacitor has discharged, it needs to recharge adding more load on your alternator and voltage dropping for the sub amp, causing distortion that could blow your sub. You're better off upgrading the main power and ground cables, aka Big 3 and or upgrading your alternator. That may seem like an expensive route, but if you've spent $1000+ on your amp and sub(s), forking out to do the power right and prolong the life of your equipment is better in the long run.
My capacitor has been on the shelf for about ten years now. I don't have the resistor anymore does that make a difference sing how it's been used for about 6 years prior to me putting it on the Shelf?
Hi i bought the capacitor from you guys last week I installed like In the video and It works but the only thing is that it didn't fix my headlights or inside lights from dimming whenever the bass hits you got any other idea on what can possible be causing the problems thanks
Gabriel Jimenez How many farads did you install? How much is the maximum current draw of your amplifier(s)? I usually recommend 1 farad per 1 amp of current draw (in my case I'm drawing 400 amps so I have a 500 farad cap bank). If you have bone stock electrical (stock battery, stock alternator, stock wiring, no big 3, etc.) then maybe make it 2 farads or 3 farads per 1 amp draw. Let me know if you need more help :)
toysareforboys I have a 2000w amp and two 12" 1200w subs. My lights doesn't dim but I have this clock that measures the current from the battery, anyways, it goes from 13.6 to 10.9 when the bass hits. What do you recommend?
That's why u install a high performance battery you do not need all that in your trunk i never had it and never will i have Lanzar 10,000 watt'sbeating 4 jl audio 10 inch woofer's and 2 6x9 pop's that are 500 watt's a piece on my lanzar 500 watt amplifier😬
Yah im thinking the added chance of getting shocked to death isn't worth it. I got a better alternator and a yellow top battery and im running roughly 4000 watts and no distortion or dimming lights. Im in a1990 prelude also
hello, I bought a crunch cr1000 I set it up as it was written in the prospectus. But the light is still flashing. I have a blaupunkt gta 4 special 750w amplifier and hifonics zxi12bp (1000w/500rms) subwoofer. Please help.
Yeah but in this way the Capacitor will stay always on, even when radio and car are off and so will discharge Car Battery. I need a better configuration, maybe with relay. Or a Capacitor with the control Remote Terminal In, but they don't always have it. Do I miss something ? Thanks for any idea.
I have 2 fosgate p2 12s(400w rms each) running @1ohm on a pioneer amp that is 1600w peak and 800w rms @1ohm. not a huge sound system, but my lights dim. it's in a 2013 vw Passat s which still has the stock battery with the alternator at 140amps. my lights dim when my bass is hitting, and when I use a volt meter on my battery, volts drop from 13.8-13.9 to 12.5-12.9. what's the easiest way to fix this? don't want to hurt my car.
so installing this capacitor is better than installing a second battery ? my light dimm when the volume is up and idk what to add to my system a capacitor or battery hmm?
First time i installed a capacitor i got a 23 farad one for over kill and read warning if you don't use the resistor when removing it can blow up i was like wtf
You're can install my capacitor anytime please lube up the screws first before you put it in the hole it's very important and tight please go very slowly the first time 🙊🙉🙉🔩🕳️💩🤥
I've watched eight vids all suck but this is the best one I've seen. Direct to the point.
What I was looking for started at 2:10 - Resistor and initial charge.
Thank you for making this simple straight to the point, and clear instructional video!
Rockville is a great starter build and learner build, understand, you need to get some legit watts to get the sound you want if you are a bass head.
Thanks for the thoughts you have discussed here.

So basically you need two wires to install everything. Power n ground wires right?
Thanks very helpfull 🤝 video I am indian
Thank you Rockville lady I was doing that capacitor thing for years and I was always wondering what that little grey thing was for but now I'm running a yellow top battery caps too bad they don't make car amps like they used to any suggestions
You don't need a capacitor for a yellow top? Im running one as well and my system is pretty solid
What resistor did you use to start your capacitor
Thanks for the info!
My capacitor is stiffening as I watch

You say that the 2 farad capacitor is ideal for an amplifier up to 1000w. Is that 1000w RMS?
thank you very much samantha.
good instructions girl plain n simple
Will it still work if you don't charge it the first time
So i have to plug in " - " from battery to capacitor too?Or the cable with " - " from capacitor it's actually the "ground cable"?
Good explanation ..my friend

Just find one on Amazon or any electrical store.
what value resistor o ohm for charge to audio capacitor
Beautiful, capacitor and lady!
Simple video very good
Should I put a fuse box for the positive wire of the fraud cap? Tia.
No. But did your capacitor come with instructions? Just wondering

Gabriel Jimenez Have you done the " Big 3 " upgrade? If not, Google it. See if this upgrade helps your situation.

I agree with Love2xrl8rl. Get an upgraded high output alternator will be the best fix plus big three upgrade.
Battery. Time for more power!
Now thats a beautiful girl
How can you tell under all that make up
How much resistor amperes should i use to charge a capacitor?

Omg . Im in loved
I know right? Very nice capacitor!
She just looks like a regular female in her early 20s nothing special. Take a walk outside there are plenty, sheesh.

Most, if not all caps, have a remote wire or a auto turn-off function.
all nice caps have auto turn-off function
No need to run to amp. Just run from the splitter for power and then find a good ground

I used the ioxus ustart ultra capacitor I ordered from down4sound been doin the job every since... No more dimming, on 3500 watts with 1 18"
yes this system is waire good
And another thing!!
Um... What is the song in the background?!?!?!?
So if I shutdown my car, the cap will be still on? It wont disacharge my car?
Apparently not
They have stand by mode when they sense the amperage or voltages or whatever is down. No need for a remote wire
what capacitor do you recommend for a rockville db14
It comes with it
Exellent video.
great voice of presentator girl, very clear and very feminine.
Thanks so much.
Can I connect a capacitor to two amps?
Don’t forget to remind people about the danger of capacitors and how they can be killed by one.
uBreakIt iRepairIt how so?
@@sleeks9939 Choking hazard
Capacitors dont blow up they heat up and leak fluid
@@BassManBobBassCovers They also can discharge an extreme amount of energy in s fraction of a second.
@@gideonkloosterman you mean drain the battery?
Hi my capacitor does not show voltage on display whats the problem ? What happends when i connect it without the rezistor first time ?
so installing this capacitor is better than installing a second battery ?

No its not better, get a second battery instead

If i let the rezistor in circuit is something bad???
Great video! Does anybody know if i can use the rxc2d or the rxc4d to run a 24v stable sound system? Thank youu:))
The capacitor has been installed.
0:06 music?
nice vid
Where do you connect the remote wire
Serious?
Caps are for beginners get lithium Nd aftermarket alternator
wow nice ....thanks
She can charge me anytime,
Need one of those
i would do exactly as she says all the time.
my 4 farad capacitor went out in 4 days
That sucks :/ probably wasnt cheap
So I Just Bought a Good Capacitor and it Says Clearly "DO Not Ground it to the Amps Negative" ??? So whos Right Lol
I'm a electrician and I call it juice too rite on
song?
SAMANTHA SO FINE
So what size resistor is used on this one
stevensmithyamaha 570 ohm resistor
Tell it baby girl how do I do this?
Big A Sam's clam's jamz
She can connect my wire to her socket ;)

stiffing what
Nice profile pic. Trini flag. Check out my channel if u wanna see some Trinidad car audio
Trini gang 🇹🇹🇹🇹
Wow
Gata, e a voz então!!!!!
Good
Good, short video but VERY annoying music!
Damn she cute had to watch it two times 😏
Loves when she says "JUICE"
Its is not better than +1 battery....
Capacitors are pointless. Plz ppl, dont buy one. Dont waste ur money.
Does anyone here think this chick actually knows this stuff or is just reading from a script??? Chances are the latter
she's beautiful i forgot wat i came to watch yes 😂😂😂 I'll take her instead 😊
xD shes not interested buddy xD
You are so beauty
Should take minutes for first charge
