Thanks rob, i really appreciate your vids Im new to kayak fishing here in whangarei and your knowledge of kayak fishing and gear always inspire me thanks heaps just need to find some pals to go hit the beaches with and learn the ways 😀
Thanks for the feedback and there's plenty of ways to find other kayak anglers to go fishing with. Try searching for the NZ kayak fishing forum and also on social media where it possible to find groups and clubs also.

Hi Ali glad you liked it thanks for your feedback.
Awesome video Rob, I am new to kayak fishing and jigging is certainly an eye opener. The last time I went out (with the guys from the Waikato Kayak Fishing Club) I took no bait with me, only used jigs and I wasn't expecting to catch anything, I was really excited when I brought up a few snapper on the jig. :-) Oh and I loved the shot with the rabbit lol :-)
Thanks William and great to hear of your success jigging for snapper. appreciate your feedback
love this. I'm been fishing off a boat since a little boy and just started kayak fishing. I have a Bach at the coromandel but I was wondering how long do u paddle for to ur destination
Thanks and great to hear you have made the plunge into kayak fishing. Many of the locations have great fishing just 500 meters from shore and applies to many areas around New Zealand
Awesome vid.
Thanks Denis
What is the brand of the reels?
Quantum, Abu Garcia and Maxel
great content, probably the best I've seen in a while. I look forward to future episodes where you're a bit more casual in front of the camera as you seem a bit rigid. Maybe it's a kiwi thing😀 It would be great for you to cover a spectrum of tackle from your standard tackle to something more specialized as most will not have the budget for premium gear but still want to give techniques like jigging a go. keep up the great work!
Thank you for taking the time to give your feedback. Yes some things are still getting better and the show is a work in progress so we will keep pushing for the best. In terms of covering equipment on a budget yes that's a valid point and we will look into it in upcoming episodes. Although any technique I introduce has associated equipment at a range in prices and a tackle store is the best to find them. cheers
Rob what weight was the Passion Control Peewee you were using in the later part of the video please . Cheers
28 gram those jigs are no longer available here so I would recommend the Zest Gan and Sling jig and are proving deadly: www.kayakadventures.co.nz/24/7-Shop/index.php/#!/SLOW-PITCH-&-MICRO-JIGS/c/12896007/offset=0&sort=normal
awesome episode :) lol
Thanks for your feedback appreciate it
Nice video Rob, good footage, looking forward to seeing some drone footage in there haha
Thanks mate yes ita all about providing the most camera views, some new developments to come soon should add a another dimension to the show
Hey rob could you say what reel you used in this video cheers m8
Hi Andrew the reels used in this episode are, softbaiting Quantum Exo, micro jigging Maxel hybrid 20 and Maxel Transformer 30CH
Are the grey kayaks Prowler 13s?
One is the Ocean Kayak Prowler Ultra 4.3 and the other is Trident Ultra 4.3 both are great kayaks
That kingfish was not lucky. It came up to you in the first place as the butterfish was sending out electromagnetic stress signals.
Of course it was attracted by the struggling butterfish, but it was lucky that my gun was not loaded because likely it would have been taken for the table. Hope you enjoyed the show cheers
Awesome Rob very good video, it makes wants to go to the water right away
Thanks and great to hear it inspires you kayak fishing is certainly a great sport
very good show, I just got a hard time to understand your accent lol
