Tim's home is beyond words. That house here in California would be probably 5 times more expensive than it is there. It appears like something a movie star would build around Lake Tahoe. The man is a real artist. Thanks for sharing; how nice it would be, to be that talented.
*- YES {! ! !} Using outside air for the firebox of the wood stove Is THE Trick to heating a home.* *- I did that 50 years ago for a log cabin in Nova Scotia, and it worked so well I had to open outside doors to cool the place sometimes.*
What a beautiful well crafted house your friend built! I love the poplar bark siding too! Thanks to you and you friend for sharing this unique artwork of a home. Nice to see some of you wood in action as well Nathan. Great fun with you and Bruno too! Many Blessings and Kind Thanks! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
To bad state trooper wasn’t around when it comes to driving and talking on the phones 📱 other driver , glad nothing happened to you on the drive so you could enjoy your friend’s beautiful home . Great drone footage from different angles keep up the great work .
A very nice hole in a very good Craftsman and I'm pretty sure he's doing like I'll do it build it out of their pocket I've been working on my house for April be 5 years it's a 2600 square feet but when we get done we won't owe a bake or lend it institution nothing Bruno laughing at you Daddy makes me smile thanks Nathan
First of all; you and Bruno had me laughing out loud at the end of the video. I have to say that Tim's house is BEAUTIFUL! I love the fact that he left the pegs proud on the beams. That really draws attention to the craftsmanship the went into the construction. That place is awesome inside and out. And yes, those white oak steps are gorgeous too. LOL
Wow. I grew up in a town with some timberframe houses, I think one of the earliest dated from 1470 or thereabouts - I remember it because it was converted to a cinema in the 1930s so I spent many hours of my childhood in there! Anyway, your friend's house is beautiful - I hope it lasts as long as Ye Hall of John Halle, that level of craftmanship deserves to last forever.
Wow what a house,,,there is something killing the pine trees,,blue spruce,,i have 3,,i took 1 out...i also have the scotch pine,,now there ok..all are over 20 years old...great video Nathan
Magnificent craftsmanship Mr. McClean. Its obvious much pride has been taken building this home. Exceptional finishes. Thank you Nathan for bringing us along. Your son has such a kind spirit from what I can see. 🤗John here, from the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee, Telford.
I never knew they did bark siding like that, the whole house was pretty cool. (Especially the stairs) And yes, that back up beeper made my heart jump. Lol
I've built several timber frame homes and used Hearthstone out of Dandridge TN to cut and supply the timbers. They are a great company and have been in business about 50 yrs. Surprised he didn't go with them since they are right down the road.
Your friends home is amazing. Beautiful wood work. I'm interested in any discussions you may have had about the cost of heating and cooling such an expansive area in his home. Comments?
Thank you so much Nathan OTW for sharing this amazing Timber Frame custom construction. So awesome to see your wood incorporated into a customers custom build. Truly makes me excited to get to OTW /TN and get my walnut slab picked up, to begin construction on my kitchen island. 🙏🇺🇸🤠
I didn't laugh too Bruno, well maybe just a little much. Thanks for sharing Tim's house being built, it is a nice house for sure. Spring is looking good around your place too Nathan, stay safe and keep having fun. Fred.
Greetings Nathan, and Bruno. You never did say whether or not you plan to use the Hemlock trees. They looked pretty small to me. And for the backup noise, just drive an ice pick through the thing...it'll shut up! Ha. Nah, I think there is a better way. Great looking house. Great video. Different for a change, nice.
What fun! A road trip (betchyer glad now you finally got there?!) Impressive house. (I wouldn't want to wash all those windows tho'!)---And a trip with Bruno to close it out. Doesn't get much better!
i put a back up signal on my f 150 we found out that people around where we live are deaf and blind (not really just seem to be) in parking lots , and now when we back up they pay attention
So interesting to see and hear of the different types of wood in different areas. Here in Washington state and the Pacific Northwest we have plenty of Doug Firs. They sure are beautiful in homes!
Outback hoses I use in video: amzn.to/3LjNWFT
Giving me some ideas for my future cabin. And I'll admit I'm a little jelly
It’s a joy to see and hear Bruno laughing, it put the first smile of the day on my face. By the way your Friends house is beautiful.

Your friend is a heck of a craftsman. A home that is interesting and beautiful, a piece of furniture.
Bruno is a happy little feller. +1 to his Dad and another +1 to Mom.
I really injoy watching you interact with your son and also your cats.
See ya Bruno. Always good to see you and Bruno spending time together 👍

Easy to see why the timber frame house is taking so long to build, dang near a work of art. Good to see Bruno having a good time laughing too.

Dash Cam friend. Everyone needs a dash cam.
I would guess that's just about the nicest house in Unicoi County. Real craftsmanship.
Bruno's growing up!
Pretty soon, you are going to have to get that fine young man to start helping out.

Yet another awesome video. What an impressive project by Tim there, and looks like there's still a ways to go. That looks like a real labor of love.
Never knew you could use bark as shingles. Cool look. Thanks tim for showing us around. Good luck with it.
Beautiful timber frame. Really my favorite style of house. Wish I had some land to build one. Maybe one day.
Beautiful country if you can afford to live there
Thats a gorgeous house on a nice looking property. Lucky man to be building his dream house.
We agree!

Incredible timber frame house. Thanks for sharing the viewing.
Gorgeous Craftsmanship!
I love farmhouses but I don't want to farm. It's just to me the best place to live and enjoy life.
Beautiful home. Your friend did a wonderful job. ❤️
What a beautiful home. A timber frame to beat all timber frames. Thanks for sharing. Be well and stay safe.
Wolly adelgide is hemlock killer! The park service actually treats ours in the park, one of the few things that are allowed.
I really liked the timberframe. The brace detail!
That's some really nice beam work.
Thanks for watching
all I've got is just "WOW" on that house!
What a labor of love. Beautiful.
Always preferred doug fir lumber for framing, strong, stable, and straight. First doug fir timber frame I’ve seen, thanks for sharing.
My wife would never be patient enough for me to build a house like that.
That is a very impressive timber frame, like the choice of Douglas fir.
FANTASTIC home Tim McClain
That's the least 'ragey' road rage I've ever seen! 😅
Quarter sawn oak floors!!! I've got the vapors!
Great looking home but who is going to dust that house??? Whoa...Woe!!!!!!
I love a good timber frame. The music was good too.
Beautiful timber frame, your friend did himself proud on that one. Man I can tell your man Bruno is just scared to death of you.
Hello to Bruno 🇺🇸
That house is utterly jaw dropping, great work and man is it ever neat to see where your boards ended up!
MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼
Wow what workmanship, beautiful. I’ve always loved timber frame homes .

Thank you, Nathan, what an elegant home.
Beautiful place! And the location is just as awesome! Thanks for sharing😎
Douglas fir. That’s from my neck of the woods. I don’t usually know your trees. 🌲
Wow what a beautiful house and view!!!
House of wood. I lived in a house of wood in Adams, Tn. right outside of Clarksville. It was nice, But not as big as this one. Beautiful.
