Middleton case: Why don’t people ever make arrangements for their animals, businesses, and children BEFORE sentencing when they know that their charges could carry jail time??? It’s just ridiculous.
Because the mechanism that enables them to commit the crime is the same mechanism that gives them a sense of entitlement that they will not be punished for said crime. It's a paradoxical brain state that is very self damaging.
The first two times she skated because Judge gave her the chance to learn from her mistakes and change her behavior. Instead of seeing that as grace and mercy, she saw it as a free pass.
I am SO proud of Judge Middleton! Unbelievable that she had a DUI track record, lied to the police, left the scene of an accident and still was whining about jail time because it would inconvenience her. 🤬
I'm soooo sorry...........i got caught.... Yeah, the judge knew exactly why she was sorry and it wasn't because of what she did but only about getting caught and being sent to jail for 30 days.

It shows us just how low on her list the victim actually is to her. I hope she had fun.
I REALLY feel Judge Middleton's frustration. It is exhilarating when you see someone successfully graduate from DUI Court (or any other accountability court), so when they relapse it almost feels personal.

I agree with her anger. I drove truck prior to my retirement. The distracted driving and the driving under the influence out on our highways is terrible. We are luck there are not more killed and injured. That is thanks for the great engineering of todays cars. This is taken as a acceptable now days but it shouldn't be. Kudos to the judge for sending her straight to jail where she belongs. I'm so sick of hearing these repeat offenders and their excuses. I'm permanently disabled from being hit by a 4th time offender drunk driver.
She definitely thought she was above it or she would have set everything up for her pets and restaurant. If she could set it all up in 24hrs then she could have done it again the WEEKS before.
