When I boot up my pc it send me to the Bios instantly, it doesn't detect the ssd, if I had to update it how would I do it since I cannot access to windows????
Same problem. My Windows is installed on the SSD, and it isn't detected so I don't get further than the BIOS. I switched wires, etc. Still not detected. So my SSD is fried?
@@panzerfist It's not fried, What may help is switching your Boot Mode from UEFI mode to Legacy mode or vise versa. You can find this in your BIOS setting under Boot Options
Mine problem is, I am unable to change boot order from hdd to ssd. Windows is already installed in ssd, it's opening properly as well. But in boot order I see only hdd drive, CD dvd diskette, CD dvd drive, USB only. My boot order is currently set to hdd drive, how can I change it to ssd drive? Well i have a solution but it's a bit lengthy start the boot menu in hp laptop it's escape and then F9 the go to the boot from efi file then select you nvme or sata drive hope it help👍

My SSD is being detected in Windows and I was able to use it like storing files and installing games. There's also OS installed to it so whenever I boot my PC, I have to select between two OS (from old HDD and my SSD). It is annoying but I was used to it. The problem now is my HDD had issues booting up recently which does not bring up the options to select which OS to boot. For some reason, I can only boot from my SSD whenever my HDD is there. I tried the following - 1. Remove the old HDD - but my system does not detect my SSD as bootable device (it seems it has been detected because I can see my SSDs name in the monitor display but not detecting it as a bootable device, just storage i guess?) 2. Put the old HDD back - it is trying to boot but just black screen for hours, no good at all 3. Disconnected/reconnected all cables to both HDD and SSD - (tried switching them too) 4. Other component seems fine, just my drives are acting up not letting me boot from them - SSD - Kingston 480GB 2.5 HDD - Baracuda 1 TB My pc is dead now for a week and I was thinking of buying new components since it is almost 10 yrs now since I had this pre-built computer

Hello can i get a help here. I have Lenovo z50-70 series. Just upgraded my hdd to ssd by cloning to make my ssd act as main and use the hdd as a storage device using caddy. The problem is i can't make my sdd to be my first system priority when it comes to booting.. but apart from that everything is fine.

If you've tried all the methods but still don't work, it has the possibility that your MOBO doesn't support it, you may consult the manufacturer of the MOBO or PC.
This is weird i cant turn on my pc properly in my case my bios detects my ssd it shows up but it says it has 20 megabytes and in other place of the bios it says it has 0 gb whenever i let it turn on it shows the black screen that tells u to plug in a disk or usb and sometimes just sometimes actually turns on as nothing happened and as long as i keep it on it works perfectly but if i dare to turn it off i wont be able to turn it on on the rest of the day its so weird its like if the pc was purposely not letting me turn the pc on more than once per day pls help t-t its probably my ssd dying or thats my guess

Hi, so I've recently built a PC but when i went to install my OS, i found that i have only 2.0 MB of memory available. This made no sense since i knew i put in a 2TB SSD in it. I checked in the bios, and SSD itself does appear, however it's not showing the size. I've updated my bios to the latest version, but its the same. It can't be misplaced, If the SSD wasn't placed properly it shouldn't be detected at all right? Could it be a compatibility problem? When i bought it, i checked and it did say it was compatible with PC and Laptops. However, i did buy it on amazon... so i am tempering my expectations.
to add some details : the sata config "IDE" is not available in my bios I did boot from a small usb key, used the repair option and tried various prompts in the cmd. nothing works and I still cannot see the ssd. also when this usb key is not plugges in, my "boot priority" is completely empty, 0 option available 💀

I cannot check that sadly, I just put the SSD on another PC (desktop) in a M.2 slot. 1st strange thing is that IDE isn't an available option in this PC's bios either so idk if that plays a role. Also I've downloaded a Partition Program, the SSD is not visible anywhere, I cannot ChkDsk on it and cannot seem to repair/recover/clone it with the program. Do you have other troubleshooting ideas for this ?
@@stoicbaguetteSounds like this SSD has bad sectors on it, I suggest you take it out to a repair shop to check and see if it can be fixed, or it's hard to find out the issue by yourself.

Did Disk Management ask you to initialize the disk?
But my Bios came with a Password and I don't know it's password, cannot reset this password cause it's on Laptop.

Thanks a lot, removing the old HDD physically from the PC and reformatting the NVMe and reloading windows back into it was my FIX.

If you use ssd on IDE mode then you will face pc hanging issues like for 10-15 seconds
IDE works fine for Hdd

It could be caused by a virus or a bad sector I guess.
