I have to say Im slightly disappointed Miller took the initiative to update the 220 with more stick capability but failed to add AC pulse.

One thing even though it’s an entry level torch. Throw that weldcrap torch in the garbage it doesn’t even withstand the duty cycle that the machine is rated for. Get a CK when you order the machine and be done. Otherwise great machine.

We love the CK torches too!!! Always nice to get the superflex and flex head torch!

This machine has no MIG post flow. do not buy if you need to MIG stainless, very disappointing for such an expensive machine.

That’s a debatable point I see what you mean. It’s easy for them to do. Don’t see why they don’t offer it in advanced setting but here’s the deal with this machine I’ve had mine like 3 years now. It’s an introduction machine that does it all. It’s meant to be just user friendly and simple. Less settings than most others. Because it’s not a professional machine it’s a hobbyist and small light fabrication. Not a day in day out machine. It will do that too but it’s not for those people and you can tig stainless. So if you want post flow then use your tig set up if you can’t tig stainless you shouldn’t be mig welding either. And if you can’t then you don’t care about post flow. Really the 6010 isn’t that much of an upgrade they could have added pulse mig that would have been the best ideally. Maybe next upgrade but it’s short us with a pre 2024 machine cannot upgrade and they don’t care about us that got the first editions of this machine. They update it about every year or year and a half a new sku.

@@kylearaiza8808 I weld 26-16ga stainless sheet metal 6 days a week, I bought this for my field welder coming from a much cheaper esab that had way more adjustment.
I do light fabrication and I need a machine that is light enough to throw in a scissor lift. I bought this because it's the smallest miller with the quick switch tech between tig and mig.
I've used much cheaper machines that had post flow, like the crossfire trion. This miller machine has a setting called stainless mig, it honestly feels like false advertising, I'm not sure why it even has that setting... What makes it stainless mig without post flow? It's physically capable, but the software isn't there. Seems like an oversight considering the millermatic 252 I use in the shop has post flow and it's a much simpler machine.
And yes, I use both mig and tig, and I can tell you mig welding light stainless properly is much harder than tig. Mig welds much colder with way less warpage and is way faster. Well worth the price of tri-mix. Tig has it's place but it's no substitute when I NEED post flow on mig.

You make some great videos. The audio is very hard to listen to. Audio up and down so much background noise. A low cost Road mic would take care of that.

For simplicity, use and own Miller 220!

Miller expects you to throw your machine away when they decide to not support it. Deem it old tech…
Esab is my next buy, thanks Miller for making the choice easy.

Most DC STICK welders do not run 6010, this is not software it is hardware change so not possible to upgrade the previous models. Sorry about that.

@@BakersGasunderstood but perhaps there’s a misunderstanding of what I am referring to, Miller won’t even send me or my tech the running firmware for the model welder I have.

I used Miller approved service centres and they all said the same brother. Be forewarned, when your machine is outdated, they won’t even send your tech the board schematic to help keep your machine running. The Miller rep told me to throw it way and buy new.!!!!! I used my Miller 150 STH half a dozen times since 2004. My tech says he can’t find anything wrong with it and my machine is likely a firmware issue. Miller won’t even cough that up.
It only works in 220v now.
