- Which of these three sedans is great for the family? Here are three things to keep in mind.
First, for new drivers in the family, the Hyundai Verna will feel more confidence-inspiring because the dashboard is low giving you an easy view of the road up ahead. The steering is also light, and when picking an automatic, the CVT is smoothest and easiest to get used to. The CVT on the Honda City and the 1-litre automatic on the Skoda Slavia can be a bit jerky in stop-go city traffic.
Second, for a 6-footer, well, you've got enough room in all three cars. But it's the Skoda Slavia and the Hyundai Verna that just give a greater sense of space, and comfort because of it.
Third, for elders in the family, it is the Honda that's going to be the best. The Slavia just feels a bit too tall and the sill seems a bit too wide, so getting in and out will feel more difficult. In the Verna, it's just a bit low so you have to drop down into the seats, The City feels just right in between.

City's a great car, I drove it around once in Kolkata traffic, felt extremely comfortable in terms of ride quality (best among all), awesome build quality, sits low so easier to enter but the whole cabin feels a bit cramped, even for a midge like me.

@@smith00793 no brother i own classic 350 and Virtus and cost of service of my classic 350 is higher compared to virtus, Virtus Yearly maintenance is around 7-8k rupees(10000km) and this might increase as years increase

CVT n all is fine , but Why does no one talk about the manual trims anymore. I think in manual, City is the best car by a mile. I've driven all these sedans but City's smooth ride quality is unmatched (yes you lose out on that TSI grunt).. lightest clutch with lowest travel. Also right from the base variant city is feature loaded so Honda caters to the poor demographic like me too LOL
For family purpose it's city!!

Talking about Handling, Steering feel feedback,safety is also very good..better than verna, ciaz
Space comfort, reliability,peace of mind ownership review is the best in segment and Ivtec is better than VW's 1.0 tsi and hyundai's 1.5 NA..

City only has 2-3 sensors not proper radar based ADAS like verna that too level 2

Talking about ADAS,City too has level 2 with all features but it's camera based and works as seamlessly as Verna's... that's called Japanese Engineering not like koreans🤡 who copy most of the things from other brands..

Honda city is a reliable choice. Fully tested and most sold sedan in india. After sales service is far superior to VW and hyundai. Honda ivetc petrol engine is a slient, refined and reliable choice for any car buyers.
If you say Honda ivtec engine are silent and refined you didn't drove the new Verna buddy😂.....City owners literally unke Engine noise ko compensate karne ke liye kehte hai ki "Sporty Noise aati hai ji"😂......Russia mai Verna dekhna 2 lakh plus km chali hui rehti hai aur kuch problems nhi aate hai unmai that means they also reliable

as far as honda’s build quality is concerned, it have 4 star safety rating which is pretty good in it’s segment… it’s just not as good as slavia
but city is reliable, value for money and no nonsense car..
skoda slavia is expensive as compared to city along with its high maintenance cost 💲
The warranty on these is super excellent. My friend’s engine went out after 5 years and Hyundai replaced it! No long drawn thing either, they did it over a week and gave a loaner car until the replacement was completed. I will definitely buy one.
Was a owner of Vento. Sold it and wanted to buy Virtus. But, after driving Verna 1.5 turbo, there is no going back. Perfect fit for all sort of users. Fun to drive, your family will love it, 5 star safety, great reliability and awesome service by Hyundai. You’ll get all you need in Verna.❤

Slavia, Virtus, Verna may come and go. If this segments last another decade, City will be the one keeping it alive once all the fan fair end and VW group cars start with repair bills
Verna may come and go?! Dude! The Verna vs City battle has been going on for ages. They have become legends in their own rights. I think you followed the car scene after 2020, because your bias for City is easily coming out.
Not the case with the Hyundai!!....Verna's sold in Russia have clock 2 lakh kms + and still they run smooth as new as in India also
VW-Skoda group cars have brought service and repair costs down considerably and are comparable to other cars in the segment, especially for the 1.0TSI Models with heavy localisation
If only Hyundai would have thought of making a conventional sedan rather than designing a space ship, the world would have been so much better

Unfortunately in the current scenario theres a big recall on Verna CVT where as thers no such recall for the City..... Its a very reliable product compared to any other sedan in the same segment currently

Verna CVT killing City CVT by upping its game 🔥 Forget the CVT, even the AMT on the Exter feels like an AT/TC gearbox, its that smooth!
Disagree on the Exter. The first time I test drive it, AMT behaviour was obvious.
@@Newbutold Drive other AMTs first and then come back.. i have taken several test drives and then landed on the Exter 🙏
My main gripe with the Verna (my height for reference is 5.10", stocky build), the steering column/left side dash keeps hitting the knee while entering and moving about the seat!
On a separate note, they need to update the interiors to give it the Creta/Alcazar dashboard digital screen and that seamless bezel look to the infotainment screen as well. In its current state it has started to look really outdated and more like a Venue, which is a segment lower with its fat bezels and black borders.

I beg to differ on the height issue.
I'm around 6 feet tall.
The Verna automatic (with the sunroof) has the worst headroom. I am not kidding when I say that my head was scraping the sunroof padding throughout the test drive.
The Slavia/Virtus has ample space (and headroom). Furthermore, because of the higher ground clearance (and overall stance), my parents also found it easier to enter and exit from the car.
Just my two cents.
The Verna is an absolutely amazing package overall though.
Check your seat height..
You should have lowered the Seat bruhh bcuz I am also 6 feet tall and always lower the back.....As our driving is most in the city we preferred the 1.5 NA instead of 1.0 turbo

Theres somthing cool about the indian spec cars, you can still get them in luxurious beige. In my country they only sell black leather, even the headliner and pillar trim is black

Being a very long term owner of Honda City (2007) CVT and being driven and experienced every other cars except Slavia, I suggest City will be the best for family. Verna fails to impress after a run of 30000km and rear seats doesn't feel good at all.

Some Hyundai cars have an issue with their steering wheels. Come what may, the technicians are not equipped to correct this.Multiple replacements also do not solve the problem.This is an important issue no reviewers mentions about.

2 years with 35k kms petrol manual.. honda city is on whole other league… if you are considering for family go with HONDA CITY . If it is just for you and for fun go with VW or SKODA .. if you want to impress others with tech Go with HYUNDAI
perfect summary. City's petrol manual transmission is a damn CHARM. Gotta love Honda
I impressed people with New Verna by it's Unique HeadTurner Looks.....Better Cabin sound insulation which best in the segment.....better fit and finish with quality materials.....and obviously with Tech bcuz of the 8 speaker Bose Music System with built in 10 different "Sounds of Nature" which literally comforts and relaxes rear seat passengers Mind and makes them asleep😂 and if you want them asleep and hear music then there is "Quiet Mode" which limits to only front speakers.....So Verna has also become a better choice for the Family☺️

The Honda City feels great for family purposes; it's interior quality is much better.
And, it's suspension works way better than Virtus/Slavia or Verna for family usage, because Virtus/Slavia has hard suspension and New Verna has very soft suspension. Honda City is in between all of these cars.
Also, the turbo engine of this car is frequently used to changing gears.
When you are dominating over your wife you would buy Verna, No dashboard cortrol to co-passenger. Even leg room for the front passenger is cut out beacuse the slanted dashboad style.
