I too have a story exactly like this buying new car, we end up buying KIA 2023 HTK+ diesel IMT model in the end. Me and my dad shortlisted Skoda and GV/Hyryder, but diesel preference with great 2023 discount was too much to let go. By the way, our usage is more than 20k kms in a year. So, diesel made more sense. Very happy to see others happiness put together in a video like this. Great work and genuine conversation. By the way, we only checked 1.0 Slavia, and I did not like it - engine not refined in 1.0 and nobody told us this 24th flash sale trick for 1.5L engine. My dad liked Skoda more, the look and feel inside and out however, I was slightly concerned about fuel economy in city for that 1.0L engine.
Not some rocket science. If you buy a 2023 manufactured car in mid of 2024, discounts are bound to be hefty. No one buys Skoda cars in India (market share is below 5%), which is why they offer great discounts. A hyundai or a maruti wouldn't give this much even if there's a small chance that a car would be sitting in the yard for 6+ months!

I Have 3 questions. 1) How is your registration cost only 25,000 (is it due to BH) what is the cost of non-BH then. Secondly I see you bought the insurance from them. Was it zero debt? Third, Did they voluntarily gave you free SMP and warranty?
1) it is due to BH. Without BH it would be somewhere close to 1.4L 2) bought insurance from groupwe, it is zero dep 3) SMP and warranty came as a part of the deal. Didn’t have to negotiate separately.
I’m also on the lookout for a new car, and very much interested in thhe Kushaq and Slavia. The dealership did inform me of the ‘flash sale’ on the 24th Aug. Kushaq was on a discount worth 2.3 lakhs whereas Slavia on a reduced price tag by 2.5 lakhs. I couldn’t go ahead as it was only available for the 1.5 engine 😅
Hi Pranay, I found the video very insightful and loved the format. Congratulations on the new car and on a very good deal! I wanted to ask if there were any risks with buying a model that was manufactured 6-7 months ago apart from the couple cosmetic features that you would not get. This would be the physical condition and wear and tear from being parked in the stockyard all this while. I am assuming the PDI then becomes doubly important but would love to get your perspective regarding that.
You're right on the PDI - it becomes very important. But beyond that not much. The only other thing worth considering is maybe the tyres. Their life goes down by a bit but they are covered for 18 months under warranty so I made my peace
Pranay congratulations for the new ride. Wishing you miles of happiness. Now, VW/Skoda group faced a class action lawsuit in Middle East and they are liable to change any faulty Gearbox free of charge 10 years from Vehicle purchase. But, VW group doesn't give any warranty beyond 5 years in India. For fuss free ownership I request you to change gearbox oil every 3 years or 35,000 km. Please dont go what ownership manual says. Your vehicle will last for long time. 😊
@@pranayk37 Hi Pranay, i would suggest that you change your engine oil every 9-10k kms or after 8 months. These cars have direct injection (GDI) systems which will clog up with carbon buildup and if you change the oil according to the service manual then i am sure the engine will go kaput in 6-7 years or 1L kms. Additionally, consider using injector cleaners (fuel additives) periodically to prevent injector malfunctions. Alternatively, you could use high-octane fuel occasionally.

Hello Pranay, Thanks for all your great content. I have really started to like your no-nonsense videos. Can you suggest if there is any option like GroupWe in Bangalore??
PK, this is great info for car chaps like me. One episode to cover 15 year+ used german cars too. They're sold very cheap but are the engines still good? Are they really luxury cars even after all those years?
Don't need a video for that, simple answer is that I personally wouldn't go for them. While they are built to last and if maintained well, they can probably give you a few years of memories / thrills, these cars are notorious for maintenance. And at that age, the cars are out of warranty + insurance will be limited. I'm sure there are outliers, but I don't want to take that chance.
Please see my video if you can ruclips.net/video/_k8lyQzJmhE/видео.htmlsi=Q6aquvs3fY9Ka9r0 It started out as a benefit for govt employees and was later extended it to some private employees as well.. all explained in the video
Have you considered car lease programs via employer (if it applies to you) which would save a lot in terms of tax and you don’t have to go for a loan at all. I wonder how these corporates like GroupWe will play in such scenarios
Congratualtion on your new car, This is very good information. Can you also share in details on what all need to like must have for new car insurance and any hacks to get a better deals in your next videos.
Thank you and glad you found the info helpful! On insurance, there are a few things to think about. 1) zero dep insurance 2) return to invoice.. check with your dealer, they'll be able to guide you well. But check policybazaar and acko before finalizing and buy from them. Not the dealer

I have a question regarding the transfer of ownership when selling a BH-registered car. What if the new buyer doesn't fall into any of the four categories eligible for BH registration? Will they still be able to buy the car? Will they face any issues after purchasing it since they are not eligible for BH registration? Kindly clarify.
The new buyer needs to be eligible for BH. The other option is to get the registration changed to a state registration, you can use an RTO agent for the same. I'm banking on my network to sell this car if/when I choose to sell it
Thank you so much brother! I am looking to buy a Slavia too although in Bangalore. This gives me a good idea for bargaining with the dealer or maybe I should wait for the 24th of this month :) Is the flash sale just for this year, is it there in all the months ?
Yes, please wait till the 24th. Align a dealership beforehand to ensure that if the deal is good, you select the right dealership at the time of booking. It has been happening for a few months so I expect some discounts to come this month but let's see
Was your car MY23 or MY24 ? If this has been happening for a few months, why don’t people know ? I know this started in the month of March this year. Wasn’t the dealer pissed ? I don’t know how Skoda can antagonise its dealers by letting customers buy a car online 😅. It renders the dealers obsolete. How much discount on the ex-showroom price do you think can I get ? GroupWe is unfortunately not in Bengaluru. Thanks.

@@pranayk37 I saw that on website itself but again its not that great almost as good as what you get at dealerships even lesser in some cases. However I am looking for kushaq any info weather it will be there or not?
Are these discounts and 2023 models still available? I'm wondering what would the price be for the ambition 1.0 manual? Going by the same percentage of discount, it should be 12L or even lower. Great affordable entry into the VW/Skoda sedan for a beginner?
I bought last year Ambition 1.5 dsg model from same dealer only 1 was left 2 weeks before I doubt anymore have left. But you can try with other dealer there are still inventory left
There isn't any issue with 1L AT. The only thing you may start to miss later is why you didn't go for the 4 cylinder 1.5 engine. A 1.5 engine with the torque converter would have been amazing.

Good luck with your channel. Will keep coming back for more tips.
Hello Pranay, Thanks for all your great content. I have really started to like your no-nonsense videos. Can you suggest if there is any option like GroupWe in Bangalore??
No idea 😐
Thanks for such great insight 😃
How to do the booking online on 24 th for kushaq ? Explain the process
Where does that flash sale happen and how to navigate through that
Arey that Twitter Thing was Ultimate Knowledge Experience Sharing . Great bro 👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for your comment! 😁
Any idea if Škoda does the flash sale every month? Or are they doing it this month on the 24th?
They’re done for 2024
virtus should i consider over slavia?
They're the same. Whatever you prefer
Can you please let us know which Bank is offering Floating rate of interest ?
Keeps varying but afaik most public sector banks offer it if you ask
PK, this is great info for car chaps like me.
One episode to cover 15 year+ used german cars too. They're sold very cheap but are the engines still good? Are they really luxury cars even after all those years?
Don't need a video for that, simple answer is that I personally wouldn't go for them. While they are built to last and if maintained well, they can probably give you a few years of memories / thrills, these cars are notorious for maintenance. And at that age, the cars are out of warranty + insurance will be limited.
I'm sure there are outliers, but I don't want to take that chance.
No comment on VW or was it not checked at all since Skoda gave the best offer?
Skoda was cheaper, hence
Can someone explain why BH number plates are cheaper?
Please see my video if you can ruclips.net/video/_k8lyQzJmhE/видео.htmlsi=Q6aquvs3fY9Ka9r0
It started out as a benefit for govt employees and was later extended it to some private employees as well.. all explained in the video
Pranay lovely video. Just wanted to check will it be good to go ahead with endeavour 2021 model
Depends. Price, maintenance history, condition of the car, km run, etc..
Have you considered car lease programs via employer (if it applies to you) which would save a lot in terms of tax and you don’t have to go for a loan at all. I wonder how these corporates like GroupWe will play in such scenarios
Doesn't apply to me, my company doesn't have that program. But yes, car leases do make sense specially for those in the 30% tax bracket
The deal was pretty decent good to go and well pre determined and after lots of research and R&D you have squeezed best out of it 🌹❤️
Very nice and informative video man
Congratualtion on your new car, This is very good information.
Hi Pranay. Loved the video and subbed instantly. Was wondering if there are any platforms like GroupWe that are available outside UP, Haryana and Delhi. Their site shows that they are only available in the said regions
Thank you for subscribing, really appreciate it! I'm not sure about other players like groupwe
Hi Pranay, what an informative video. Amazing! Just want to confirm with utter transparency that this is NOT a sponsored from GroupWe 😁
Haha not sponsored. In fact no video on my channel is sponsored
4:25 why didn't you consider Honda?
I speak about it later in the interview. Elevate didn't have a safety rating and honda city is rated 4 star.
I have a question at 42:20 , In the end was all the effort worth it ? apart from the mental satisfaction that you got.
How to purchase Skoda kushaq 2023 online

@pranayk37 I tried booking Slavia 1.5 Prestige edition online, but there only Montecarlo and sportsline are visible. Also, it is only showing the booking amount and not the total amount. Can you guide me on how to book .
Share tips on buying hycross hybrid!

Any such platform like groupwe in bangalore?
Thanks.
Will the group we work for south India? I’m not getting a single rupee as discount from showroom on exshowroom price. Pls help me on this
I am 6'3 i cant fit into cars for 10-13 lakh range idek what i am supposed to do
Not clear, which variant you ended up buying finally?
1.5 tsi dsg style
I went on buying the same car on the same day(24th May) but ambition 1.5 dsg with bh registration for 13.7 lakhs onroad. Only difference is i got the kotak insurance with all RTI etc etc package for 23.5k from policy baazar.
Car is simply brilliant and is an absolute steal like the one u bought 😃. Congratulations and happy motoring!
Amazing, congrats on your new car! I had to buy the insurance from groupwe but otherwise I would have bought the acko one
@@pranayk37I bought from ACKO which cost me 31.5k for Ambition 1.5 DSG Brilliant Silver. Mine is 24 Model Year manufacturing year is November 2023.
Skoda slavia 1.0 MT
Average 13-14
Please suggest what i can do
It’s running only 6k
Hi pranay, does group we service in the mumbai region?
Not sure. Why don't you call them and check?
@@pranayk37 sure, thanks
brother there are actually different version one is with DSG and other one is with AT in 1.5L version
I don't think so, multiple people have commented saying that's not the case
Hi Pranay, Flash sale is available on VW taigun as well?
Afaik it's only a skoda thing
Pranay do you know if any of these 2023 cars left still?
Not sure, best to check with a dealership
Which website I can check the offers on
Offers haven't been coming for a few months now
quick question? There is a reason why there is a discount vs waiting period right?
Markets and sentiments are not always rational :)
@@pranayk37 Hope the Service bills agree
This is so brilliant. I’m in Kolkata and I’m trying to help my Dad zero in on a Slavia in Mumbai. Would definitely try GroupWe.
Glad you found it helpful. Though the 24th sale seems to have discontinued..
How did you book directly with skoda?
Hi Pranay, Please help me about this flash sale is on skoda website or groupwe website?
Skoda website. Please subscribe to the channel - I'll put out a post on the 24th when the sale is live, so hopefully you know
@@pranayk37 Hi I can’t see the link on their website. Just the Kodiaq.
Great video by the way ❤
Could you please tell me like what was the reason for not considering Honda. And in the longer run which is of less maintenance, Skoda or Honda ?
Elevate doesn't have a safety rating yet and honda city isn't rated 5 star. Hence. Otherwise I quite like honda cars. Pretty sure they are cheaper to maintain than skoda
@@pranayk37 Oh, now I understood, thanks for clarifying
What is BH registration?

Hi guys , it's 24th today, I tried to get the rates of the slavia from their website, but there are no offers.
Correct. I posted about this in the community posts. They have an offer on Kodiaq
Hi Pranay ... Three days to go for 24th september .. So where exactly i should look into the website.. Can please share me a link

I’m trying to find best deals of VW/Skoda Taigun/Kushaq 1.5L DSG in Hyderabad, 22.5L is on-road now. Do i have more room for negotiation? Any leads?
Thanks.
May be you can check for 2023 model. Also, they don’t sell many cars so if you almost book and cancel they can give you good deals
Try some dealerships in nearby small towns. They often give higher discounts
I bought ambition 1.0 mt for 14.3 lakhs on road. I think I could have done some haggling still. But I think I got a good deal in this car. What do you think?
💯
You said Hyundai is not safe but isn't Verna a safe car with 5 star rating in global ncap ?
He doesn’t know
Verna is 5 star with unstable body shell , and its turbo engines Whats up pretty quick in summer
Though it is 5 star but during GNCAP rating vernas body shell found unstable, which is very serious
@kalpeshsonje3545 unstable strucutre is found but verna structure is much safer than carens , Seltos and Creta because they can't score 5 star even with 6 airbags and even on side crash verna has scored better !!
Very informative and interesting video. Does Volkswagen offer the flash sale
Not that I know of
How’s the AC functioning in Slavia? Heard it got some cooling issues
Not as good as honda or toyota but good enough
Hi pranay, today is there any skoda flash sale, I am checking skoda website but don't see anything? Kindly update
See community post. It's only on kodiaq
@@pranayk37 I saw that on website itself but again its not that great almost as good as what you get at dealerships even lesser in some cases. However I am looking for kushaq any info weather it will be there or not?
Yes looks like they've managed to sell their stocks in the previous sales and haven't come up with anything as aggressive this month
Are these discounts and 2023 models still available?
I'm wondering what would the price be for the ambition 1.0 manual? Going by the same percentage of discount, it should be 12L or even lower.
Great affordable entry into the VW/Skoda sedan for a beginner?
Not sure - check with a dealer if they're still available.
I bought last year Ambition 1.5 dsg model from same dealer only 1 was left 2 weeks before I doubt anymore have left. But you can try with other dealer there are still inventory left
Congrats 👍 What's the issue with Torque converter with 1.0 AT Slavia? Was thinking of getting one
Is there an issue? Not sure
@@omkarp8521 torque converter gives the mileage 3 to 4, in city use
There isn't any issue with 1L AT. The only thing you may start to miss later is why you didn't go for the 4 cylinder 1.5 engine. A 1.5 engine with the torque converter would have been amazing.
I found a pre owned kushaq from spinny last year
Went for the service record to skoda dealer.
Got a demo for a lower price and became first owner.
Car has many issues but they’re fixing it slowly
Thanks for sharing your experience
What issues?
Very informative video. Was that a 2023 or 2024 model you bought? Doublechecking..
