    Thank you for putting this video tutorial together bro. I am an Athlete myself , but I don't play NFL. But I do play another sport which is known as Rugby League. Just thought id say I've always been huge fan of these type of workouts & trainings etc. This tutorial footage was so helpful & very simplistic. As Rugby Athletes , all we ever do is mainly focus on cardiovascular endurance & muscular endurance as Rugby elite PLAYERS , but we rarely do explosive workouts or plyo's like these etc. Hopefully this drill I will do & practice will make me stand out a little more better then other people on that field. & also the little things like this will count & pay off. Thank you again brutha. Its the small things like these drilla that will count & That will spark that change on performance 🙌🏾💯

  • @alskank2155
    @alskank2155 Год назад

    I agree with mostly everything except your point about full ROM. I understand it trains the stretch reflex and force production through ground which can help with overall speed but the risk for a tall, heavy linemen to get under a bar and do a full ROM squat or Olympic lift is too high. Often times technique is a huge concern and they’re football players not Olympic lifters. Other exercises can be just as beneficial.

    • @amandadavis9726
      @amandadavis9726 3 года назад

      @@GarageStrength he could possibly be too low in his stance. Some players think that they have to be “coiled up” in their stance, to get off the ball quicker. But that’s not true at all. It actually slows them down. He also needs to check his footwork, in regards to his first two steps. If he makes contact with the defender on his first step,...he won’t have any power at the point of contact. He will literally find himself “wrestling” with much smaller defenders. If he can make contact on his second step,...he will more than likely become a much more effective blocker,...and that’s barring that he has good pad level and hand placement.

      @@kingBaluga We agree with Vinny. There is no replacement for running when it comes to running specific cardio. For short sprint cycles which lineman will often do. We recommend lots of sprints between 10 to 20 yards. Also doing on the minute Olympic lifts. So doing like 2 reps of cleans with 1 minute timed rest for 6 to 8 sets. I don’t have a sled. Any thing else I can do instead?

    • @GarageStrength

      Tire Flips can work. Even pushing a car in neutral. You can also do rope climbs or forearm roller for pulling and grip strength. Or to get really basic. Buy a cheap tobaggan sled, put weights in it and pull that on grass. Always can find some work arounds 💪

    Last year I was super slow and I always got in the backfield on a pass play but I couldn’t get a sack it was so annoying because I play in the quarterback factory so if I don’t get a sack they throw a 50 yard bomb in my face that was 8th grade

      @@GarageStrength okay I have a question. I just finished my 8th grade football season. I’m about to head to freshman football next year. I was the smallest lineman this year, but I was able to make first string. I’m scared that next year there’s gonna be more competitive people especially for varsity. I wanna know what drills I can do at home or workouts to gain muscle and work on my lineman drills for next year.

      @@nikwazhere2wice282 it is we have a center whos 145 but he's getting dominated by me and the other d-tackles if you playing into your defense and you still want to be small hit around the 190 Mark if you're playing d-end hit around the 170 Mork and if you're playing online hit around the 210 mark

      Yes, we have several Junior High athletes train these same exercises. The only one that would probably be unnecessary would be the sled pull with harness. Hope that helps 👍

    Sorry, Homie talking about 5.5 and 5.4 40's as a average? Yo, if trhe 90's and early 2k"s O-line can't go under 5.1 40 then it's a fail. I Hit 4.95 at 290lb no look.
