An Eventful Lunchtime at Grantham 26/3/19 | ECML | inc ( DVT Emergency Stop outside the station)

A short trip to Grantham around 12ish see's the normal LNER services stopping and rushing through bound for the north or London Kings Cross along with some freight thrown in there as well with 70809 working 6E82 and 66781 working 6E84.
After a few services had passed I was awaiting for one of 2 LNER class 800's on testing, 1E08 was the first of 2 services to pass before the 800 but as I was waiting for it to come around the corner you can hear very loud screeching from the brakes as it was brought to an emergency stop which I think was due to someone pulling the emergency cord due to an ill passenger although that may not be 100% the reason. I didn't film it when it eventually moved about 30 mins later after stopping a second time a little closer but I did film all trains around the incident and the chaos caused by it.
Classes seen (class 66, 70, 91, 43 Hst, 800, 180, 156) also included is 91101 and 91132 in their special liveries. Enjoy!

I spent the first thirteen years of my life in Grantham, and I spent many hours on the platforms train spotting, we were spoilt for choice with the locomotives in the seventies and early eighties, everything from class twenties to the class 254 HSTs with the proper Valenta engines!! Matter of fact I scived off choir practice one Friday night to see my first HST back in 1978 got a hell of a walloping of my Granny... It was worth it!!! Great video mate, brought a tear to my eye. Deltics are my favourite by the way.

Did you see an ambulance go for the ill passanger or did someone press it deliberately ?
