Let me give you a Hint, The Beatles didn't invent Rock N' Roll. I finally hear my idea of what happened in the 50's, 60's and 70's in the concept Mr Henke mentions here, Cultural Resonance. Electronic Music and Psychedelic rock were happening before Sgt. Pepper was released, but Paul McCartney was listening.
Brian Eno has in fact a similar idea, in that “genius” is always the work of community and not individuals. And that those we retroactively pick out as geniuses are in fact drawing from the huge well of ideas around them.
