I had one exactly like it in the 80's. My father owned a used car dealership and I wobbly some of my own cars and sale them on the lot and I bought one exactly like it. It was a really cool car and sold quickly.

You could still get the Big Block 460 4BBL V8 as an option, again was still available and optional compared to the 400 CI Big Block 2BBL. Just like the 4 Dr 79 Lincoln Town Car & Lincoln Town Coupe those also came with the standard 2BBL 400 CI V8 or instead of the 2BBL you still had the option of choosing a 4BBL 400, 427, 428, 429, 460 and the 466 Big Blocks 4BBLs for both 4 and 2 Town Cars and Town Coupes and 79 Mark V’s Designer Series. For 77-79 Ford and Mercury downsized the T-Bird and the Cougar those came with the standard 302 2BBL. But you still had the option of a 302 with a 4BBL or the same size Optional Power Plants you would order for the 79 4Dr, 2Dr Lincoln Town Cars , Town Coupes and Lincoln MarkV’s. From 1979 to 1991 Ford and Mercury had downsized the Ford LTD’s and Mercury Downsized the Mercury Marquis’s. For their Power Plants under the hoods they had the 5.0’s 302 2BBL or you still had the option of a 302 4BBL V8. And you can still have the option of getting a small block or better yet a big block 351 2BBL or 4BBL. You have the C for Cleveland, M for Michigan and W for the Windsor Power Plants. The same was done to the Fully Sized Beach🏝️🏖️ Wagons/Station Wagons they were downsized from 1979 to 1991 those Wagons had and used the same power plants but they gave them a choice of options Carburetors, Fuel Injection or Overhead Fuel⛽️ Injection. Oh yeah 👍🏾 the T-Bird and Cougar also had the choice option for power plants under the hoods besides the 302 and 351 small block 2 BBL’s but also big block 2 and 4 BBL 351 V8’s C, M and W power plants. Law Enforcement we can’t 4get law enforcement there rides had to be specially equipped and had to come and have the police special patrol package especially for those very high speed chases they have to do when its necessary to go after felons and suspects. The same thing for the protection of the President of The United States🇺🇸of America. The Secret service and C. I. A. When the President and the Vice Presidents to be protected in whenever they make their visits and stops through out the Country. When it comes to a choice between the Antique, Classic and Vintage and today’s rides my choice is obviously the Antique, Classic and Vintage Rides of the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s 70’s and 80’s. I loved when the expensive luxury Lincolns had Designer Series Editions. Makes me wish they did something on that level today, not upping the pricing $10k, but the tailored interiors & specific colors? FYI New Corvettes already charge $10k extra for their "deluxe" leather interiors. When compared to "Standard" Form, you can see the differences. Corvettes $80k & up! My hopes are not high. Cadillac is my last Hope, since they're the only American Mfr still selling proper Sedans 😔

Now that's a automobile. when I was a teen i had a 78 Lincoln Continental 4 door. One new years we got 17 people into her for a cruise.
