Full dps was pretty much what I had to do. I basically went Reaper with Brute Blood and just tanked hits and Countered the Ink. The issue with some of the fights I had was she would teleport away, Summon adds and then Pull in the closest one. Drawing the fight out way longer then it has to be.
I cannot stress how much of a pain in the ass this boss now is. There is one weapon combo, and almost no variety at all in abilities when you beat her. She is a slog even when you do everything right. Before she was tough, now she is simply tedious and frustrating. Thank you for the guide. It at least shows the ideal way to beat her right now.
I'm having a hard time against Maja. Biggest problem is our progress is locked behind this fight. I managed to almost kill her once, but one mistake and everything was lost.
I'm also stuck on this fight. I'm having to solo it, but my brain can't seem to handle the minions AND dodging the books AND countering the ink shot while also keeping up the dps on her. There's a lot going on here...
My suggestion is to try doing some practice runs until you have the fight under control. Use swords or axes on the adds and some sort of counter-spell for the pages. See if you can survive for a couple minutes without trying to damage her. It's perfectly fine to step out of her tower if things are getting rough to reset the fight. The alternative is a long corpse run. As someone who fights the boss multiple times to make these guides, these encounters get significantly easier with practice.
@@glens-games I gave it another go the day after. I was tired and had tried a couple times, so I gave it a rest. I came back the next day and was able to do it. Not easily, but beating that boss opened up quite a few upgrade options, making the other bosses in that tier so much easier. Your video definitely helped with that!
@@glens-games I tried the strategy in the end of the video in my bf's PC. My PC runs the game at 15fps and several freezes even on low (lol 🥲), but playing at 60fps is much easier dodging her attacks. Killed her in the second try. Lol But instead of the axes or sword, I used the reaper. After I killed her, the next ones were easy. I just don't know if it's the equipment a got by killing her or my bf's PC. Definitely getting a graphics card. Lol Thanks for the guide!
Fighting her in 1.0 on brutal feels impossible. The axes definitely make fast work on her hp in the beginning but the adds have so much health in that difficulty I cant burn down the one she tries to absorb and I quickly get overwhelmed even with 2 deflect skills. I don't even have access to the skills you used or I would try that strat. Sucks because my progress is locked behind a boss that's 4 levels higher than me and dropping the difficulty feels like cheating.
She's SUPER hard on brutal. I think it took me over 20 attempts to defeat her. What I ended up using was Ball Lightning + Reaper E for damage, and very carefully bring her down to 50% health while also dealing with adds. If you take too much damage before that point, leave, heal up and try again. After 50% when the adds really start to pile up, I actually started ignoring them and tried to blitz her down with as much DPS/ultimates/etc... as possible. I respect the brutal difficulty, because it has me saying "Oh man, that was brutal!" for so many bosses!
@@glens-games I got close a couple of times with the great sword and 2 deflects, but when she went to consume a minion I didn't have enough damage to take it out and the fight was basically over every time after. Ended up dropping to normal to clear her and go back up to brutal. I feel dirty lol. I also didn't know you could adjust the brutal stat modifiers in the settings or I would have dropped the health a bit. Ah well, next time.
I was struggling a LOT, I tried your spells and weapon and did it first try, thank you very much!
