One thing that was brought up that is important and that I missed in this video is the amount of servant coffins you can have is linked to your castle heart level. As you level your castle heart you will be able to have more coffins. Sorry it was missed in the video. I'm human it happens.
Not a thing as far as I know... The only humans I'm the zone I found are in the spider eggs and they are all workers AND from other zones.. Be careful you don't get a werewolf.
Great video! Thanks! One thing to add, servants never get lost. You can run as much as you want with your horse that they will follow you anyway. Once you enter the castle they teleport next to you :)
@@OxyGenFLt And they can't be healed while charmed. But they can be shielded. And yes. Riding a horse past NPCs that take potshots at you is a VERY good way to get your charmed NPC killed.
The one thing that disappoints me about servants is that there is no option for them to follow you. It would be nice to have one or two bois along for a boss fight

@@Firespark81 also there is a chance to get an injure event where your servant is struck by a vampire hunters blade, causing them to go out of commission for 8 hours. Also you can take them through cave passages
7:35, you can't deconstruct a coffin that is tied to a servant and if a player destroys the coffin a red outline will be left in place. Even if the coffin is destroyed the servant will stay alive and you can still resummon them once you repair the coffin.

Servants and Prisoners are so important in this game... I didn't really take advantage until recently, I was able to get the 3 soul shards so easily with 100% blood from my prisoners. Blood quality also impacts the overall level servants can be. The higher their blood, the less likely they are to get injured on missions.
Something I'll add, not sure if already mentioned. If you have a charmed servant following you and you make it to your castle/close the door they will teleport to appear beside you.
You posted this video on my bday xD btw you can be hurt more than 60 min. I finished game months ago but is nice to see people try to learn new guys something.
The time out of commission depends on the severity of the injury too. Some of my servants only needed an hour or two to recover but I had some that were out of commission for 12 hours or so

Pretty sure missions don't happen while the server is down. So if you are playing a solo game or hosting a game that you don't keep going all the time, the servants won't be working on their missions. This is VERY important when you send them out for a 23 hour mission!
This is correct. If the server is not live, such as local single player, that 23-hour duration is 23 hours of play time. On my SP game, I just coffin-up instead of logging out. Sure, you will come out completely drained and at 1hp, but new players can keep rats for blood and advanced players can keep cages stocked with blood-prisoners.
@@diamondbackspartan3204 It was. They recently changed it such that the timer keeps going offline. But thankfully not the castle heart blood essence use as far as I can tell.
I would say that early game you should focus on getting brutes and rogues because they can do the missions that get weapons and rings for all your other servants.

Apologies if it has been posted before, but I've found with the shorter missions your efficiency will plummet if they get injured, which has a higher chance of happening over time since you are rolling 30% every 2 hours. 2 hours worth of loot becomes 4+ hours of overall time and possibly staggered recovery on "teams". Risk/reward. I've taken to just sending them off for 8-23 hours and checking once or twice a day.
Tx for nice video. Still 13:36, "send them for a 23 h mission" works a bit different. The time duration for a mission counts actually the server running time duration and not real time. In my case (solo) i have to stay for 23 h Online for them to end this misson.

Glad you got into V Rising! I haven't found any way to do this yet, but open question for you and your fans: "Is there a way to revert a bound servant so you can switch it to another castle, or turn it into a prisoner for blood potions?"
There is now after the gloomrot update. You can make an item that teleports them to the nearest friendly prison. Just remove all prisons from your one base and then use the item, it will teleport the charmed servant to your other base ( if you have a prison there). I play solo, mind you that the servant teleports to the nearest friendly prison, allied clanmembers included. Edit: i misunderstood the question, once you make them a thrall it is final. You can however switch prisoners between bases and then turn them.
So question about the door locks. If you have it on servant lock can they still leave to do tasks I set for them? I know it keeps them from walking the lands (if you have tiles outside)
The only thing is the duration of the mission. If you do solo play on your own "server" it will shut down when you leave the game and things ingame won't progress. Only on a running server (dedicated or official) the missions (and other stuff) will progress in your absence. Nice video though.
Idk if I've encountered a bug or I'm missing something, but I have 7 servents but when I sit on my throne, only 3 of them show up in the list. All 7 have gear, all 7 have "status" of normal", all 7 have no materials in their loot. All 7 are in the same castle (coffins are all lined up side by side) Am I missing something?
For a lvl3 castle heart which allows 7 max servants, 1 paladin, 2 clerics, 1 spell weaver, 1 priest and 2 knights. For a lvl4 castle which the max is 9 servants. You want 1 paladin, 3 clerics, 2 spell weavers, 1 priest and 2 knights. Or you can swap out 1 spell weaver for another paladin.
My servant coffin turn into red and visible. can walk through them. I terminate my servant, but nothing happen. It always show resurrecting. Also cannot destroy or cannot dismantle. what should I do ?

If it is a dedicated server that is always running it'll keep going while you are offline, but if it is a simple private server then it only runs while you are online
They level is not important at all as they will get their level from the gear you give them. Higher level mobs usually have more powerful abilities tho. A lvl 40 Militia longbow will be more threatening than a standard human archer
It still won't explain why I can only select one of my thralls to do missions, I've got one castle, a bunch of thralls with the SAME equipment, same level, same blood quality, normal condition, bound to a coffin next to each other, yet when i sit in the throne I can only select ONE of them no matter what mission I choose. Why is that?
I do have to refute your servent walking in claimed area. I'm not sure if there was a patch for it or not but I have one servent that does leave my claimed area to roam freely dont know why but every time i go out side the castle there is soo much loot drop due to my servent killing everything from wolfs to deer . but other than that it's a great vid.
I had three servants wander down the road and attack a village that was about 70 meters away…for no good reason. I started using the servant lock doors to stop them from getting themselves killed…

if u send him on a mission and he comes back injured, there is a message that says he needs to feed and there is a timer that counts down.. how do u feed him and/or heal him?
when i log off im pretty sure the servents dont search for gear if the game is not running. So i just leave it running. It seems that if I get into a chest or storage and leave, the game stays running much longer.
I haven't tried imprisoning a converted thrall, other comments suggest you can't; however if you have a prisoner you can hit 'charm' to pull them back out of the cage and into charmed status, whereupon it should be possible to convert them, in case you wanted to get a few bottles of high level blood before making them your minions.
No one can answer this for me. If I’m in a pvp server and I get raided and the raider breaks my coffen can I simply repair that coffen and get that sed servant back with its current gear?. And that’s just current armour equiped

Your castle in the farmlands is where my castle is. I ran straight up there and claimed it.
Btw letting them go outside is a very bad idea because sometimes they dont close a door leaving you open to thieves

You can just sprint back to base on horse etc after you have the servant. No need to wait for them they will show at base.

Use the build menu, select the coffin to move and run your butt off to the new place before putting it back down…

If you destroy a servant coffin with a servant, go to another castle of yours and then repair the coffin, can you still summon that servant?
If you Dominate a human and have 2 castles with open prison cells in both, where will they end up if you use the Duskcaller item?

When they get injured, it is not always 1 hr cooldown.
I got a servant with 2 hr cooldown when he got injured.
Wonder if that is a server setting. Ill have to look into this.
I had one injured for 2 hr and another injured for 4 hr. I was playing on a private server with just the default settings.

You can equip servants with completely broken armor/weapons and the gear score will still be maximum.

the clan size was never locked at 4, that was just the base setting. from day 1 we set our game to 10, which was the max previously.

you need to appoint them to the mission ... if not you just choose another one

Where did you get the crypt floor? research table or study? it reduces the time of conversion by 50%..help me out xD

yes u can capture them! and if u get any high blood worker there u can be considered lucky!
