a small correction about the horses they only last a couple of hours before they die you can feed them water to make the timer longer so if you continue to feed them they will last forever a fully "watered" horse last 110 hours you just go in to your inventory when your close or on the horse to see its inventory there you can put the water to feed the horse it has 3 slots so 15 water you can see its stats as well and the timer of when the horse will die
Two really important starting things that the video didn't cover; Mist Braziers and moving built items instead of dismantling them. 1) Mist Braziers. Until you can properly build stone castle walls they are absolutely essential to making your base functional during the daytime. They burn bones to create an area of shade around them, and at only 1 bone/minute they can burn for a long time while you're playing given how easy bone is to obtain. Just shut them off when you log out so as not to waste the bone. 2) While you have to dismantle walls after they are built if you want to move them, just about everything else you can place in your base can be moved so you don't have to lose resources or empty them for dismantling. To move something in build mode, just click on it while in build mode to select it then move it to where you want it instead. Any contents in them will stay with them, too.
A couple more tips from a me and a friend -1 you'll need at least "merciless copper" tier weapon to mine Iron, any weapon type can break resource nodes as long as it has the correct attack rating -2 build more than 1 item processing station but you are safe with just one crafting station (have 3 grinders, sawmills, smelters etc). those waiting times are brutal -3 don't underestimate your ability to regen health and respect you blood pool (carry a couple of rats for emergencies, you can teleport with them) -4 you can teleport your horse =) -5 the most rare and valuable resource in the game is the blood type, make the most of it
Bones & Fibre and Rats make Vermin Potion. Install a vermin nest (Which you will eventually need for the boss) in your base, and it will attract rats, just pick them up and make vermin potions non-stop. They are very very very important, especially in PVP servers
For a super early boost to resource gathering - you can break up all the destructible items (the urns) in the very beginning crypt area and gather some lumber, stone (mostly this) and bone and if you are lucky you can have enough bone to make the sword before you even get out to the initial graveyard area. Also, this graveyard area is a good place to do some bone farming (and other resources) because once you get out into the wider world and start establishing your base, bone is really useful but is also more rare outside of graveyards. So, take a bit of time rather than bolting through this area to get some good early resources in a fairly safe environment.
I recently learned that: 1. while in bear form you can destroy anything that requires explosives however there is a low chance of getting their resources. 2. While in Bear form you take no damage while caring silver. 3. The same trick used in the video to create the wooden coffin also applies well with your own vampire waygate. so if you want one inside your castle just section it off.
Bears don't attack you when you're a wolf. That includes the bear boss. Horses ARE permanant, but... You have to water them. When on them, hit tab, and that will open up their inventory. You will place waterskins in their inventory, and so long as they have water, they will not despawn.
Couple of my friend started playing last night after we checked out your first impressions video. Thanks for bringing awareness of the game, it seems pretty cool so far.
They should make an option where the camera turns with you at all times making mounts easier and even normal movement easier so you don’t have to hold right click
My tip is to consume the “trippy shroom” I won’t spoil what happens I’m not sure the spawn locations but I found it in the cave where the Ferocious Bear boss is located, on the southeast side of the map
For horse riding, if you hit your auto walk and then use your camera change (hold right mouse button if you didnt change it) to steer. makes riding smoother to me at least
The best base locations are close to cave passages, but just the southern ones. Cave passages are one way, north to south. Benefit, you can carry all items with you unlike waygates.
To fast mine recources pull low lvl v type bosses to the rescources like trees, copper, iron, stone or what else and let them hit the notes for you. You can also harvest the v blood to create a huge explosion to fast mine the whole area. E.g. a whole forrest with the alpha wolf at the beginning
Have multiple smelters for ores. Iron takes a long time and if you need heaps of it, one smelter feels like an eternity. 4 smelters going at once saves so much time. Same for pretty much any refining stations you use a lot.
There's a time limit on your dropped loot. So, say you have your base castle heart, but the V boss is far away and not near a waygate, or you have to wade through 20 supporters to get to them. So, you decide to use that second heart to make a small castle on your single player PVE closer to your target. But, of course, you've become a hoarder, like always, and you think, "Hey! I can load up, run to my new location, and die by sunlight to drop the resources! They stack great!" Nope. You will come back to discover you no longer have your piles of loot and have to start over from scratch gathering stuff. This can be a real challenge when you start moving towards the Farmlands.
The castle heart build percentage tip is best for PvE, since on PvP you need to take choke points and other factors into consideration. Good video overall.
Horses. Auto-run allows you to steer with the right mouse button. Mouse 4 (browser forward) button turns on auto-run. I changed mine to Mouse 5 (Browser back). So handy.
I genuinely thought bosses only spawned during the day. I thought that's what made them bosses. they can take out trees and rocks and expose you to the sun. I've literally watched the alpha wolf spawn as the sun rose.
Have you figured out what determines the blood quality, because feel like it isn't lvl entirely alone so still trying to work out how that works to get the bonuses.
It's a random number generator. At first, it looks what region you are in and with that deciding the average blood level. For example, the forest have average of under 20 while the farmlands have 20-40 however there is also a random chance an enemy with over 60% or even over 80% will spawn everywhere.

This looks so much better than Lost Ark, and you get to move via WSAD
Way, way better then lost arc. More like vilhelm

From what I’ve seen all the enemies respawn during the day, but bosses stick around and even patrol through the night if no one kills them.
Also don't underestimate Garlic when your farming. It adds up quick and takes a very long time to go away if you get it to 100 stacks!
