And then there is me, who fought every boss all the way up between 0-5 item levels below and having fun with it. So far all the bosses mechanics are interesting and unique. Bosses with alot of attacks/abilities use block ability. If they have block, use ground abilities to not prock it. If they attack slow, get to the side of them and wack, if they hurt being close to, use ranged weapons. Many ways to go about it ^.^
guys dont do this. Learn the game, learn the bosses, spend a few minutes on each of those bosses, and then craft the mats you need to make higher tier gear. It's much slower to resort to these alternatives like buying the mats you need. Btw dont sleep on vincent. You want those prisoner cells early.
Indeed, most bosses do not unlock next tier of equipment, so they can be skipped completly IF you don't need/want anything else they unlock. With that said, I like unlocking everything, but it's obviously easier to do so later if you are overgeared. I'm torn whether they should make more bosses absolutely mandatory. It can be through a recipe or simply requiring X bosses to be dead within or below a tier to move to the next (but that's a bit artificial). To be fair, all this is only important on PvP servers where gear progression determines whether you are canon fodder or a worthy competitor. On PvE server, there is absolutely no need to rush anything (unless we start seeing racing servers looking at time played --> rewarding efficiency and not being sleep deprived)
Can you post the optimal progression in text form here? Quick bullet points would be amazing so I can put them into a note and save them for when I do a Brutal play through 😊 Keep up the great content!
got you brother. 1. Clear normally up to quincy 2. Upgrade all equipment 3. kill beatrice, use bane to kill christina or kill christina to get access to the silver bag. 4. use any of the strategies available to kill bane early to get access to human form. 5. Use human form to start using your silver to buy tough leather from the merchant in dunley farmlands. 6. kill maja and leandra. 7. Upgrade all gear to 61. Then go clear all previous bosses. 8. Fight octavius 9. Upgrade again 10. Fight the 64 boss, get your dawnstar regalia 11. Work towards fighting Ciril
its interesting.. and i like that you now kinda have multiple paths to progress, and not just one stright line.. but.., these various tactics, like what u are mentioning require other things then, (like instead of said boss etc) now u need heaps of silver, to buy those items.. or u need to farm and spend lots of time in other ways.. so i dont really think its a shortcut. its more just alternatives, and then depending on many factors decides how fast your progression is. (Not the least the server settings ;) also, when u have all the bosses and their stations, and can craft anything, from low lv items, it really speeds up ur way too. cuz if u always picking up whats laying around, u will alway have heaps of mats, and rarely need to do those hard long farm runs, where rng or other players can really spend n waste ur time.. since loot in v rising everything has value, and can be crafted into a higher tier. also, stuff like buying from vendors, even if u farm all the silver n gold, is very limited, and in my exp usually good stuff is constantly being bought up , mostly by higher lv players.. and its not there or can only be got in small quanteties. but i think thats a good thing.. yes there is a way to streamline ur game n progress, depending on what ur goal is, but there isnt really a total cheese strat, to bypass playing the game and its systems. i like that. as u can see by this message, ive benn playing way too much Vrising, and not sleeping much.. haha
thats the awesome part about this game, complexity in progression. especially in pvp after alpha wolf i like to base in dunley right off the bat, and come back to farbane afterwards
Good luck farming the coins to do that. You need so many mats for crafting things, and buying them all cost a ton of coins. Yes they are dropping but not that much and farming them is definitely taking a long time.
You can use Bane to fight Terah the Geomancer too. You just have to leach him at a close point to her platform, then kite him up the ramp. It looks like a close fight until halfway, then she obliterates Bane, so do some damage to Terah as much as you can if you want the 2 for 1.
Dude! The amazing part of all this is that even after everything you are going thru you are still able to pump content. I am an aspiring YTuber and you are a testament the all it takes is time and willpower! You are a HUGE inspiration! What do you use to edit your videos and create thumbnails?!
It's no mistake, It's highly intentional. It's very much designed as a pvp game, and as such giving many options for progression opens the game up and prevents people from locking down the progression of others too much. In pve however I think what you're talking about is generally totally irrelevant. Vrising is a great pve game, but why skip bosses, that literally is the game at that point. Obviously there's speedrunning and such, but if you're like most people and are going to do one or two playthroughs, don't deny yourself a good experience with each boss.
Meh, I like maybe half the boss fights, its very annoying with amount of CC they all have while I dont. Its very annoying that they spam ults and mine is on cooldown most of the fights. And its really annoying that they summon mobs repeatedly while mine last like 6 seconds...especially annoying when they are human mofos...so, im glad to be able to skip those fights and progress to others.
thick leather can be farmed from certain beasts, like the dogs from the guards in farmlands, or the wolves in the frozen area drop them too i think. or stuff in the cursed forest drop them and prestine
I really appreciate your tips BUT I kill Beatrice, easily, kill Vincent,Tristan and Christina not so easily this time but I'm always lvl 44 and dnt move, I kill Tristan, Vincent and Beatrice again but always remain at 44 .. upgrade the castle at 3, all weapons are iron, have a servant ... dnt know why I dnt grow up. Also I play on an official pve normal server. Thx for any help 🥰
You can indeed get through the game this way but whats really the point? If you play the game on brutal it's all about the challenge and progressing the bosses on their respective level. Any boss that you exploited, abused mechanics, overeveled or never really participated in(in multiplayer) won't bring u any satisfaction and is invalid. If you need to abuse the system like this to get any boss down you're just not fit to the difficulty level and should just lower it. It's good to show that the system has some flaws to fix but that's the video to the devs, not the players. Anyone falling for doing this as the player will just ruin their fun. The game is a masterpiece and u will get the most from it by respecting the way the devs intended you to progress through it. Love your videos bro, cheers!
Which is fine. But that's not the only way to play so probably shouldn't make it sound like it's pointless or incorrect to approach the game this way lol
@@EggsZacLee He never said that’s the only way to play. He said take your time and enjoy the game. And like I said he’s talking to the pve players so what he said doesn’t apply to you if you PvP player.
No, I'm saying you can focus on advancing the recipes first, which allows you to jump to gear score 61 or higher with only fighing 3 bosses, instead of 20.
CAP.. Guys this is noob advice, don't waste your time.. He is telling you to skip crucial parts of the game simply because you can go to Silverlight Hills dangerously under leveled to buy resources that you skipped. Note that mobs in that area can see through your human form and you'll be killed. Not to mention that you'll be in highly contested area with all of your money and you'll get robbed. This might work in PVE, but in any PVP server this might kill your progression. It's okay to postpone getting some bosses, but you should take ALL bosses that provide you with different ways to craft resources. Additional note, you don't need theory crafting or insane strategy to beat 90% of bosses. You'll get majority of them in your first try. But of course if you're some kind of speed runner, do whatever you want, common sense doesn't apply to you. Conclusion, yes you can progress this way in a sense that you'll be able to get enough resources for your gear. But if you are duo, trio or quad + your servants, there is no way that you'll be able to farm or buy enough resources fast enough without actually crafting them, so you'll eventually fall behind
But you waste more time if you do this. Why not be good at the game and kill the bosses? Sonner or later you gonna end facing the end-bosses and not skip around this time.
This guide is for pvp people or people that have played a few times already. For first time players this will ruin most of the fun in the game. As a solo, the most fun fights are the ones where it takes 2-3 attempts, i get better, learn the mechanics, maybe tweak my build slightly and then im proud and hyped when i finally beat it and get instant rewards. Go in to bosses blind, with or without friends, its great! All of this is are nullified by this guide because you will be way overleveled so instead of being fun, its a chore. Not to mention the drops will be useless to you instead of maybe getting a recipe you needed. I think this would have been worth mentioning in video but im sure many people would realise this on thier own anyway.
You can play the game this way but why? It takes so much of the fun out of it. One thing I love about this game is that the bosses are not piss easy, they are difficult which is becoming rarer in games these days. It is satisfying to beat them. If some people enjoy playing this way then that’s great, I just personally disagree. I think it move us towards a culture of quick gratification, like how a lot of games are becoming which sucks.
@@pyktkmrge Devils advocate, it actually can affect him in online if people play this way. Items being sold out at vendors, more pvp in areas that were low population before, his progression slowing down due to having to find and fight the bosses...
Meh, no, Souls game are highly regarded not just due to difficulty but the combat/progression/bosses seeming fair and balanced. That is definitely not the case in V rising, bosses having 5-8 CC attacks while spamming ultimates and mob summoning arent fun for most people.
All of this is only applicable if you're playing in a PvE solo server. If you try this in a squad (4 player team) in a PvP server I'll just kill you while you're getting the mats to "upgrade" your gear and steamroll ahead. I even doubt you'll be able to get a single dawnthorn piece since your previous gear will be broken from all the PVP - untill you get to late game gear, recrafting is cheaper than repairing items. It is true some of the bosses aren't mandatory but you'll be vastly behind if you try to apply most of the info in this video in a PvP server.
Indeed, if you try to struggle with bosses without previous progression or mass-farm town for mats, you are more likely than not going to be hunted. Automation and resource farming is pretty easy as is.
Doing it the way he says makes no sense I can tell you it's better to fight all v boss ad you will already have in tier 2 incursions and the v boss are good practice for Adam and Dracula fights cause you will need to learn attack pattern and movements for the fights
