Thank you for that blast from the past! I had a Fujifilm S3000 back in the day and it captured some amazing images. Eventually I sold it, replacing it with a DSLR, but haven't found anything like it since. Light, handy, easy to use. One time I walked around town with it hanging from its strap around my neck. I just pointed and clicked, never raising it to my eye. The results were amazing, all things considered. Now you've got me itching to find one secondhand. Shucks, I wonder if I've still got that XD card kicking around in a drawer somewhere... oh, and I ran mine on rechargeable AA's, much cheaper in the long run and if you've got a couple sets you're set for a long day of photo taking, as long as you've got the storage to keep up with the battery power.
Carmine, Thank you for an explanation of this camera's capabilities. I've had one since 2004 and just used it for the most rudimentary vacation photos. I'm inspired now to dust it off and see what I can capture with it.
Hello Carmine, beautiful review! I wanted to ask you: how the Fuji S3000, what other Fuji bridge, with a 5 or 6 megapixel CCD sensor would you recommend to me, to have results similar to this? Thank you very much, greetings from Italy
My parents bought one of these new back in the day. They also purchased a 2 GB card To go along with it, I took pictures today with it and they saved to the card. I also see on the camera that there is a video out. What cord do I have to purchase to be able to do that?
Hello and thank you for watching my videos. The Fujifilm S3000 is a wonderful camera. I will have to research the cable information for you and update.
thank you for the video. l just got a fujifilm finepix s3500. is it like the s3000? because i don't know that much about the xd cards and its confused me. is it the same capacity with each other?
Hello, this is an informative video. Glad I found this channel and just subscribed. I own another Fugifilm camera from 2003. When there's no XD picture card in the camera, it saves images to its internal memory. It only holds about 15 photos lol but it's still there. Does this one do the same? Thanks!
Thank you for your kind words. This is the complete manual for the s3000 Fujifilm camera..enjoy www.instructionsmanuals.com/sites/default/files/2019-06/Fujifilm-S3000-en.pdf
Thanks very helpful video. I loved that camera and lost it a decade ago and have never been able to duplicate the quality with such ease as that camera does it. I'm curious to know if there is any quality dropoff after 20 years. Especially if it sat in a closet for years but I just went to ebay and bought one lol
Meant to ask.... Is there a difference between a HxD 512MB vs xD 512MB? As best I can tell it seems there is no quality difference but the xD 512MB were manufactured later and have superior storage speeds. What say you?
Grab it and take sunset photos this week, that's what the L120 loves. They still sell for over $200, because of these specs; 14.1-megapixel CCD sensor for superb image quality, 21x Wide-Angle Optical Zoom-NIKKOR Glass Lens, 5-way VR Image Stabilization System, Memory Card Type : SD, SDHC and SDXC, EXPEED C2 for enhanced image quality and processing speed, 3-inch Ultra-High Resolution (921,000-dot) Clear Color Display.
Carmine, superb !
Thank you so much :)
Review Fujifilm CCD Kodachrome Film like sensor S3000 Digital Camera for $16
Love seeing these reviews of the older digital cameras. Right now they are being thrown aside, but you can sense they are not forgotten.
Thanks for watching my videos

Still have mine. Actually a small box of FinePix cams! LOL. Great little shooters for those tired of the megapixel chase.
Yes, too many photographers think they need a ton of megapixels....sadly wrong.

Love love love old CCD sensors. I own 1 Nikon D200, 2 Fuji S5Pro which I will never sell.
From what I read, S5pro is the stripped down version of d200…. Did you find any benefit of owning it?
