@ Its as you say BS. At the moment, BMW remains the sole champion of the straight-six. Munich engineers admit that they regularly develop and test prototype V-6s, per internal policy, but say the results don't come close to meeting company noise and harshness standards. Mercedes-Benz must not have such stringent benchmarks. Once renowned for its silken inline-sixes, Stuttgart phased out those engines and began building V-6s out of its V-8s during the dark, cost-cutting days of the marque's DaimlerChrysler ownership. From Autocar.
@ i did quick research and you're right. My uncle owns one and he said its a V6 some years ago when he drove with it. That was what i had in my mind. Now i know it has a straight 6. My fault.
@@nelsonclub7722 I remember when Chrysler stopped making the Jeeps in the i6, my dad was pissed because that's what he would lease a new Cherokee or Grand every couple years.

I think this tree hugger environmentalist hated cars. So, he bought these cars like Nancy Peloci - Cash for Clunkers - and got them off the road. :-). He obviously didn't love or drive any of these cars much.
My first car was a 2002 tii Lux which looked identical to the red one in the video. I think that E24 and the E28 look to be in good condition and worth spending money on getting back on the road. By the way, the 6 cylinder engine in the E28 isn’t a V6 but a straight 6.
Thanks for the educated comments. Now why couldn't the spotty kid making this selfie stick film know that sort of detail before making his stupid commentary?
A friend of mine has one, in mint condition, the sales price is High!!😮 Its a vehicle to HAVE in your collection, and not use, its absolutely terrible to drive!!🙉
The cars that interest me are the 1970s BMW Touring, the Maserati Bora (or Merak) and the Land Rovers. The LRs would be easy to recommision as their parts are widely available. I wish they had closed all the convertibles during storage. If you are interested I have just uploaded a video of a Morgan Factory Tour I was at on Friday.
You can likely shave a zero from the ultimate selling price of many of these cars. However, Ebay notes that "This listing was ended by the seller because the item(s) is no longer available." Kinda wonder what happened.
Honestly this is the best 2nd RUclips video I saw on this in 2 days where the host had no clue what he was looking at, kids these days! Good god I’m old and grumpy!
I bet they would not and would only go in there with a biological suit on. The number of avian viruses that must be airborne from all that bird shit must make it a very unhealthy place to be. Wuhan has just come to London.
Although these cars look like barn-finds (which is collector's gold usually) I think these cars come under the title of abandoned project cars and 99% certainly never drove in warehouse/hanger before being forgotten, also the damage bird droppings do to paintwork means a 3rd won't be worth saving, another 3rd will be sold trade or retired restorers and the final 3rd might be worth auctioning but nothing here is worth 100k so wonder if that's why there here in first place. Ps I think that BMW is a 1600tii and them and the MB SL's are what's worth saving....the rest is parts cars and spares...sadly❤
Even attempting to start them without spending 30-40 hours going through mechanicals would be insane. Rubber turns to dust, seals dry rot, fuel leaks through carburetors and locks rings to cylinders, coolant turns to acid eats freeze plugs/water pumps/heater cores. I've done several and none of them started after sitting 15+ years.
So park up some old classic MOT failures in a warehouse, sprinkle liberally with genuine 'barn dust' then finally release the pigeons just for that authentic barn find look. 🤣
Fun field report TheTFJJ, thank you! At least the cars are still here and not made into fridges via a scrappage scheme of some sorts. I would go for the red 3dr G-Wagon, the 911 (numberplate on that car must be worth something) and an orginal, 'multicolour' Mini 😎 This storage location looks like a former shipyard/dock.
I find it hard to believe a manufacturer would build a car with the steering wheel on the wrong side. And this is a collection of 175 of them? There's just no way man... no way.
Yeah agree with a lot of other comments as to looking for the diamond in the rough !!! Wasn’t anything jumping out.. If I had to take 3 .. I’d go 202 the masked up dolly tub and the 3rd would be a toss up between the hornet or the G wagon..
Dude! You missed the best one of the lot. There was what looked like an early post war Mercedes, possibly a 170, but you went right past it. Cool stuff, its a shame to see them in that state though. Nice video.

Obviously whoever did this parted out the cars. Many pieces missing from these cars. My theory is that whoever did this got a great deal on the cars, then took off parts they wanted to build "new" cars that run and sold them and made their profit. Either that, or over the years they ran a car parts business and cannibalized these cars in order to sell the parts. In short, this is just an indoors junk yard.
Would've loved to hear more about the story of these

That BMW 2002 and that 5 series from ‘88 (I think) are so sick. That poor 911 too.
