  • Uncovered the boat today and discovered the Sun Pad was really discolored. Went and got some Paint, and BAM, new sun pad.

Beautiful boat. You did an awesome job. I would like to make two suggestions.
1- Install Trim Tabs. I promise you that you will love the way they they make the boat handle. The best part of Trim Tabs use is in rough water. They give you the ability to run faster in rough water because you can put the nose down. With any boat larger than 20' they make a very noticeable difference.
2- when you launch and trailer the boat back the trailer into the water up to the bottom of fender. It allows the bunk pads to get wet and you can see where the trailer is to help you trailer the boat. You can use the power of the boat to pull it off the trailer.
I hope my suggestions don't offend, the end result is awesome and you can take a great deal of pride in an absolutely beautiful boat. Thank you for sharing your work with us. It's a beautiful craft. Be well.

Big Hand to Mrs. Jay. She is so supportive through this whole process. My wife would have killed me 6 months ago. LOL

It is what came with the boat. I think the factory ones wore out over time. I also like the room it gives me.

I used a vinyl spray for the hadlebar pad on my Polaris SLX. The previous owner relocated the MFD to the glove box and removed the handlebar pad. I brought another handlebar pad but it was red and not black. So I painted the red pad to a black pad. It came out Beautiful.

Did you end up using the scotchbrite pad on the paint?

How long does that paint last? Does it crack when stepped on?

It never cracked at all. I ended up getting recovered, so this was temporary.

Use washing machine tablets in warm water that will take it off

Kinda ironic how your boat has no more seating space than my 15ft ob bow rider I can seat six and so can you but your seven feet longer
