That's what I was telling someone in a wrestling group on Facebook. All they knew of him was his announcing for WWE/WWF. I told him that I had grew up watching Memphis and that Lawler was a very talented wrestler and could be a serious heel or a crowd pleaser, that he wasn't a clown back then.
Dusty admitted on a WWE dvd documentary about Superstar that indeed he took stuff from him, but let's face it: in wrestling, everybody borrow something from someone else. Superstar stole a lot of stuff from Ali, for example.
@@michaelrood2751 you have to remember I was 3 years old when this aired. I followed Memphis until the bitter end and didn't see much of Dusty obviously.
The exact airdate is known. You should have looked that up and figured out which station aired it instead of guessing, which you obviously are doing with your hashtags.
You obviously have NO CLUE what you are talking about. It aired on WMC BOTH TIMES. Once in 1977, once in 2000 when I taped it on VHS. Until you know what you're talking about, stay off my comments.
Jerry Lawler had to be the most boring wrestlers. only his promos were kept him popular and even then he often stumbled over his words. he was ever only successful in Memphis as a wrestler, which is why he never spent much time anywhere else.
Two of wrestling’s most charismatic superstars.
That was back in a day when wrestlers cut good promos.
I miss the good ole days watching Wrestling. People Fritz von Erich, Jessie Ventura, Jerry Lawler, Dusty Rhodes, Junkyard Dog, and others.
This is a great find
He should be talking about the Runnels family if this is a real history of Dusty.
This is Jerry's greatest work 😆😆😆😆😆
One of the greatest heels of all time 🏆
"I want all my Blacks to bring ribs". HaHAHa. Wouldn't fly today but rain that was funny.
Wow..I'm black and I was cracking up....unbelievable
@@keithbperrin9633 I'm "black" as well and think it's hilarious.
@@osiruskat hahahahaaaaa
The last surviving hero 🙂🙂
He didnt want just some of them, he wanted "All his Blacks"! 😂😂😂😂
Dude Lawler was a fucking savage on the mic. My man just eviscerated Dusty's entire family tree in one promo
Oh my gosh Jerry was just freaking great.

Lawler is Buggin'!!!
YES baby 💓 Jerry baby 💗🔥
"Bring all the blacks." lol 2022 is not having that mate
The American Dream
Alot of wrestlers have borrowed from Superstar Billy Graham, but Dusty clean ripped him off!

No Dusty borrowed from Thunderbolt Patterson
It's weird seeing the King work heel. Of course, he did work heel early on and when he took on the Von Erichs.
weird seeing the King work heel? Guess you did not see Lawler's early career?
King is one of these rare wrestlers that spent almost equal time as a heel and as a babyface (if you take into account his WWF run).
I'm somewhat offended by that Dusty promo.
Dusty VS Dream Machine
It’s funny but it’s not a shoot.
This is a mark channel.
lol
american nightmare
Dusty’s act and fake voice/accent was ridiculous. I know I’m in the minority on that but I couldn’t stand him.
@@michaelrood2751 I laughed when I first saw it about 25 years ago and said his schtick would never fly in current times.

Tell me you did not watch Lawler, without telling me. You cannot be serious?
