I always thought Cetera and Chicago had such a clean, romantic sound to them growing up. I was jamming to this when I was 13 back in the early '90s (even though it was older than that already obviously).
Amazing as always and he gave the tone demo. Very well rounded and professional kind of dude. Who needs a TV in the house when you got this, I sure don't. This is the only entertainment that keeps me going
Great job once again! I'm a huge Dann Huff fan and feel that he's been overlooked a lot over the years, so it's nice to see someone appreciate his talent and have quite the amazing talent yourself!
I grew up listening to the same bands you cover, and as an amateur guitarist I’ve always been fascinated when watching exceptionally talented guitarists like you cover these songs. I have always wanted to see the fingers on the fretboard playing those incredible solos .. It would be similar to a painter interested in watching how each stroke was made while Van Gogh was creating one of his masterpieces from a blank canvas to completion. That’s the the best way to explain it, I’m sure you probably understand. Your videos are the best I’ve ever seen! Subbed! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Ahhhh when music videos still mattered and soundtracks helped make some movies. I can still see this video as soon as I hear it. You just broke six sheets of ice and mastered the drum technique 👍💪🍻
The song has David Foster all over it, which is why it sounds so much like St Elmo's Fire, Hard to Say I'm Sorry and other David Foster hits from that era.
Two very different eras for the band , they sounded nothing like this in the 70s but had there biggest success with songs like this in the 80s , kinda like Van Halen with Roth and then Hager.
Another all time Dann Huff classic. Amazing cover. Whenever I think about a perfect example for those la session clean tones, this is one of the songs that is a perfect demonstration of it.
Dann Huff shat these memorable guitar parts for some of the most beloved tracks with his suped-up strat. One helluva vocalist too. I admittedly didn't know the name until recently. The tones, melodies and phrasing.
Yes indeed.....the Boss DC-2w is that good😉 ....super clean tone and playing👍. Love the tune......always hovering about on my list for a bass cover but then something else pops into my head
Ya got one hell of an ear dude. Amazing talent to be able to figure this out. A local guitar great once told me if you can hum it, you can play it. I finally just decided I sucked and I didn’t have it, regardless of my lofty dreams of rock star badness. I actually got pretty decent, but looking back, I think my biggest obstacle was laziness.
Thanks! The most recent vid of mine featuring Steve and Pete would probably be my ‘solos of High n Dry’ compilation from 2020. Check that out if you haven’t seen it.
Thank you for doing it without the music at the end. I was hearing a part wrong, cleared that up. Such a great song. It’s in C major so it’s as easy as it gets on piano. Guitar… it’s very cool guitar. Epic song.
I sang this to my ex misses on the old karaoke once, lmao. Great song for sure. Obviously reminds me of karate kid 2. Great job as always, Ben. You always sound fantastic. 🤟
Dan Huff is an underrated genius on guitar....not sure if you have done any Giant covers (especially from the second album, "Time to Burn"), but they would be a lot of fun to play. Your Starship covers are killer BTW.
Beautiful tone. I would love to hear more Cetera numbers, in particular No Explanation which he produced with David Foster in 1990 and which sadly didn’t appear on any albums. It’s a monster production and I think would sound even better with your guitar front and centre.

Proper songwriting. Proper singing. Proper guitar playing. Enough said.
One of the greatest songs of all time.
Dan Huff is a great guitarist, singer and producer, and I love the band “Giant”, that he was in!
Oh good call. Maybe the next cover should be “I’m a believer” from Giant! Please?
@@jimelsner8207 Whatever from Giant :) but my favourites are 'Stay' are 'I'll See You In My Dreams'
I certainly hope to cover some Giant.
Also produced Megadeth on Cryptic writings and Risk.
Good grief, that tone is superb. Well done. Anybody who gives Dann Huff his proper flowers deserves an automatic subscribe.
シャーベルのギター、音色、アレンジ、演奏技術、すべてがすばらしいです。
ありがとうございます。
The guitar riff at 3:11 gives me chills every time. Soft rock at its best!
Not a riff my friend, more a chord progression
so cool,
Dan Huff is one of my top 5 guitarists of all time

Very kind Lee! I feel very lucky to be able to share my love of these songs and guitar work with others who feel the same. :)
Dan Huff - ultra tasteful! Great rendition!
I love this. I grew up listening to Dan Huff even though I didn’t know it was him on most records
Same sentiments!
You are the best, you know every song that I feel created my childhood and honestly GOD BLESS 1980'S
Great job once again! I'm a huge Dann Huff fan and feel that he's been overlooked a lot over the years, so it's nice to see someone appreciate his talent and have quite the amazing talent yourself!
Echoes of the whole Universe Ben BRAVO!!!! Absolutely outstanding pal ☝️☝️☝️💪🎸🎸

Thanks for the kind words Jon!

Well he cowrote it with Cetera, so it should sound like a Foster song.
Man I am a sucker for that David Foster 80s goodness!
The man was the master of beautiful cheese!!
More like "you're the inspiration"
David Foster is an amazing producer, songwiter, and player. He has a signature sound.
Foster co-wrote this but he did not produce or perform on it. That was all Michael Omartian.
Great cover!! Many times I wish Peter Cetera would rejoin Chicago and stay! That’s what made them more popular and recognizable!! Period!!!!!!😊
Absolutely . I often wondered what Toto would sound like with some Cetera vocals
Cetera didn't need Chicago. He was developing his own sound with Foster. He wanted to do a solo album, but Chicago didn't support that so he left.
Two very different eras for the band , they sounded nothing like this in the 70s but had there biggest success with songs like this in the 80s , kinda like Van Halen with Roth and then Hager.

It’s great to see him get more appreciation. Some of us have been following him for years.
Spot on tone and articulation. Excellent job!
Such a great tune, and such an awesome 80’s tone !
Wow simply beautiful thank you.
素晴らしい‼️
nice play!
音が、綺麗(^^)
完璧です。
感動しました!
The fret slides at 2:34 are too good
Legendary Dann Huff
What a sound! Amazing
That was quite accurate and quite beautiful! I do believe that's the first time I ever heard it played accurately!
Always love the great parts of Mr. Dan Huff on this track. Thank you for showing it to us. Great playing!!
Beautiful song , and I love that " glassy " tone.
Yes indeed.....the Boss DC-2w is that good😉 ....super clean tone and playing👍. Love the tune......always hovering about on my list for a bass cover but then something else pops into my head

Oh man … reminds of being a heart-broken teenage nerd back in the glorious 80s 😂
My favorite song ! Perfect play !
One of my faves! Great choice!
Excellent song choice and performance
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Blown away!!!!!!!!
Had no idea Huff did this, you absolutely brought something great here.
Always like your old leppard stuff, with Pete n Steve. Nice playing Bubba
Thanks! The most recent vid of mine featuring Steve and Pete would probably be my ‘solos of High n Dry’ compilation from 2020. Check that out if you haven’t seen it.
I love my DK24! Great playing as always and I appreciate the dedication to the tone chasing! Peace
Beautiful cover of a beautiful song 🙏🏼❤️
Beautiful! Goosebumps to the 80's tones!
Man I sure wish I could play like you. You are extremely inspirational and such a talented musician. I have a lot of respect for you.
Very kind Robbie, thanks!
Sounds great, i love Cetera and Chicago!
