I love this film from my childhood, the whole trilogy plus Hilary Swank in The Next Karake Kid. Mr. MIYAKI was a legend, I really miss him, having never known him but he was a big part of my childhood. They don't make films like this anymore. Gone but never forgotten Pat Morita. 💔

Japanese guy in this video training Karate kid reminds me of special neighbor had where was from in last century. They were in containment camps in world war II and never told me of their sadness. My father was world war II hero and helped stop the war. That Japanese family made me feel different about many things. It is best to respect the culture of others nations.

Karate Kid is a special movie and it represents a really special time. The last of the salad days for many Americans. This movie will always remind me of the magic of growing up in southern California in the 80's
The nostalgia levels are unlimited! How i wish i could go back to these times, every friday getting excited because i got to choose which VHS i could rent out. Nearly always exorcist or evil dead even though i was like 8..best times, but not appreciated at the time.
I think this movie Karate Kid II is the best of the movie series, with four movies in total Really, the 4th, the New Karate Kid (Hillary Swank played a fantastic role, a great actress without any doubt) is also for me fantastic. But the second is THE MOST DRAMATIC AND HARD, because the life of mr Miyagi and Daniel Carusso keeps both in death danger .Besides, is the unique of the four films in whom they travel to Japan, so Carusso has the opportunity for knowledge the ancient and today still living japanese culture, specially in villages. In fact, the BEST OF THE FOUR HISTORIC FILMS (Avildsen was the director of The Karate Kid and also lead in the first film Rambo), is my point of view, is , and with great difference, THE MAGNIFIC AND HUMILIATING FIGHTING LESSONS that Miyagi gives to the dangerous villans. The triple victory in the third movie is simply UNFORGETTABLE. The scum bag is quickly taken to the dust truck. OSTIAS COMO PANES, how we say in my dear country, SAPAIN. The artful craft of storytelling set to big-ballad orchestration leaves eyes wet, skin goose-bumped and a lump in many throats. I don't want to become "that guy" who scoffs at what kids are listening to these days, but it just doesn't compare. Maybe I'm just getting old 🙈
Loved this movie so much about as much as the original…..Shocking for all the ppl that think this wasn’t as good. Maybe the story wasn’t quite on the level as KK but I just loved the Miyagi backstory and delving into his past. Ahhhh and let’s not forget about Kumiko probably my first film crush 😻 ❤️ seeing as I was probably 7 or 8 when I first saw this being as I was only 5 years old when Karate Kid II released in theaters. She was amazing in this well for her big screen debut. Also want to give an applause to that young girl Daniel saved during storm wow what a performance! 👏
My favorite parts of this movie were about the relationships between Yukie and Miyagi, and Kumiko and Daniel. The Tea Ceremony scene is 4 of my favorite minutes from any film. This is a beautifully done video. 🙂👍🙏

Ralph macchio and most importantly pat Moritas Mr Miyagi and Daniel Larusso honestly is the soul and spirt of these movies without them the films wouldn't be what they were, and the casting for the villans was just amazing couldn't ask for better actors, true TV gold a age of storytelling and acting that will not be matched. I am so happy that cobra kai turned out the way it did cause at first I was worried but when I saw it I was taken back to my childhood its like we never left, the only sad thing is pat Morita is unfortunately passed a true amazing actor such a shame but I am most sure he is proud to know that cobra kai has been able to revive a trilogy I never thought I'd see again period.
