Hi folks, nice video. I recommand also trying to chain operators instead of using all of oscillators on the same operator. I think it tends to have a more layered/Natural sound and it's easier to control automation on those different layers
This is so cool.... Awesome technique! Shame the key>time mapping doesn't quite get there but you just set me off on a whole new adventure .Thanks ! Sussed it... when you set the key>time Connection A amount to -100% then set the Connection B amount to 75% ,,, puts it bang on ;)
I don't yet...but as you've probably already noticed, Corpus is essentially just one resonator from Ableton's Collision instrument. And I have made a video on Collision. So, if you have already, check out that video. Maybe that will get you started. ruclips.net/video/6wj1DdASsUI/видео.html
I've never used that plugin before, but Ableton has supported multi-outputs plugins, like Kontakt, for a long time. I see that Saturn Cosmosf supports higher-order ambisonics, but I'm not sure how, or if it handles decoding to binaural or stereo. If it doesn't then you might have to get creative in how you handle getting the 8+ channels of audio from Saturn to an ambisonic decoder.
+Limpuls Yup, amplitude modulation can definitely be thought of as a form of synthesis. Most of the time we think of it more as rhythmic design rather than sound design but just about every synth out there has an LFO that can modulate a sound source's amplitude. www.keithmcmillen.com/blog/simple-synthesis-part-9-amplitude-modulation/
+Limpuls I don't know any off the top of my head, but I'm sure you could find a bunch of free Ring Modulation plugins or Max For Live devices. There might even be a Max For Live device included with Live that does Ring modulation. Sorry, I'm away from my computer this weekend otherwise I'd look with you.
tip: using a low freq sine wave for demonstration purposes is inaudible/barely audible on most mobile devices. gotta remember about those lovely harmonics
Thanks, I’ll keep that it mind. But I’d also suggest that you use headphones or studio monitors when watching videos on sound design. This way you can hear everything. : )
at 7:13 the reason tuner didnt pick up the pitch was because of the amount of low end created from the looping of the waveform, creating DC offset, all you had to do was cut those lows and it would pick it up:)

Dude, great video - there's a definte lack of advanced Operator tutorials on RUclips so thatnks for stepping up!
+Sean Patterson You're welcome!
I'm eating this up , pls more fascinating talks like this, awesome awesome
so much knowledge im gonna have to watch this twice
HOLY DAMN. Eye opening. Sounds kinda like Venetian Snares' synths on Meathole
Man that is so cool! You deserve a million for this!
great stuff. thx man. actualy inspiring. finaly an educator that's not a hack.
I also like to know everything at two can do for me before reaching out for another two… Great job man!
Didn't realise how much was under Operator's hood. Thanks for an interesting tutorial.
Very nice techniques of how to use operator!... Subscribed.
cool it sounds just like modular synths
this is so fascinating! Thx for the inspiration!!
exciting to put this into techno tracks , wow ty again, pls consider more gr8 things i could put in techno

+Psy CoX Share some links! Love to hear/see the results.
thanks for sussing that
PsyCo X thanks!
The tuner actually works if you put an EQ8 right before it!
SHIT GENIUS U BEAUTIFUL BASTARD
inspiring
This is great! Did you deliberately leave the filter decay at 666ms?
+Elisha Millard Haha! Thanks. I hadn't noticed that. Whoops!
what a great videoo!! many thanks for the inspiration
instant subscribed , never done this before haha ausome
i dont get what happened to the audio at a 1:18 in the video did he mean to repeat what he was saying that much? or is that just a glitch ahah
It's to disturb people who watch it high
Cool stuff man, do you have any tutorials on how to make some cool sounds with corpus' midi input
function??
I don't yet...but as you've probably already noticed, Corpus is essentially just one resonator from Ableton's Collision instrument. And I have made a video on Collision. So, if you have already, check out that video. Maybe that will get you started.

great tut!
Thanks a lot, that was awesome !
Great video Daniel! Do you think we can use Surround Plugin (like Saturn Cosmosf6.1s)directly on a channel on ableton? Thanks for helping.
I've never used that plugin before, but Ableton has supported multi-outputs plugins, like Kontakt, for a long time. great stuff
Damn this is cool. Makes all them modular pieces seem reeeeeeal dang pointless, tactile tho they may be.
3:43 AM synthesis? Is that a thing? I tho there was only FM synthesis. Can you name some AM synthesis in real life? Or is it only modular thing?

Cool, I wonder if you can achieve ring modulation with vst plugins in any way.

The operator is basically a FM synthesizer?
Exactly. Check out this video for more of the basics of Operator: ruclips.net/video/H1sdBYoyOUg/видео.html
