This came to me exactly at the right time been doing knuckle push ups for too long
did knuckle push ups help u with wrist pain?
@@michaeljdkdkdthey just allow you to circumvent it, because almost no wrist flexion is required
Yeah same lol about be half a year
Same lmao
I use a push up handle. How’s your wrist mobility now?
banded joint mobilization can fix 99% of the world’s problems
I can confirm, my wife stopped cheating cz of banded joint mobilization!
🤣🤣🤣 W conversation
🤣🤣🤣
If you're not having much success with remobilisating but still want to do proper pushups without limitations, another alternative is using dumbbells or parallettes. This also has the added benifit of increasing range of motion at the shoulder, meaning a better stretch on pecs and front delts
This will remove the problem but it won’t fix the issue
@@Adamfandango I didn't mean it as a solution to the issue of bad wrists. It's just a way to continue doing effective push-ups without wrists limiting how much you can get out of the exercise itself, _until_ you're able to do them normally (after doing mobilisation separately, of course). Otherwise you just wouldn't be able to do effective push-ups for the duration of the mobilisation and lose out on gains, right?
@@J-W_Grimbeek A well earned like 😁
I realize this comment is at least a year old lol, but if you see this, any idea why push-ups on dumbbells would feel worse than push-ups on the floor? I feel okay doing push ups on the floor, but it’s things like push ups on dumbbells and renegade rows that end up hurting
I used to think this guy was a fake until i tried this wrist mobility stretch and it turns out i was a fool
Man u are a legitimate and knowledgible guy I don't know your name so i am gonna just call u Professor Squat
Thanks Professor Squat 4 helping me out
I was just telling my wife the other day my wrists were hurting while doing pushups. Thank you for this video! Need to train them to be stronger!
Thank you, it's exactly what I was looking for

Love the helpful shorts!
Love that you're giving Fitprohawaii some love👍 he is awesome
He is awesome. But I can’t get behind him for the crime that put him in prison. Redemption story or not
I was skeptical but this....
This saved my life(style)
No way, I tried it and the pain instantly vanished. I LOVE THIS CHANNEL
thank you so much. been suffering with this for years!
You give so much good advice!
Thank you! I needed this
thank you so much! i’ve struggled with this for years and my chiropractor told me the same thing!
Great video- I am really glad you post all the content you do. I have had surgery on my shoulder- and both hips. My left hip has been funky after surgery still- and your videos help
Had very stiff wrists as a result of my Handstand training. The start of HS training was always uncomfortable. I tried these banded wrist warmups and stretching exercises. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Flexibility is improving at a rapid pace. Discomfort disappearing. I see comments here about the wonder of banded stretches. Im a convert. Will try for ankles and hips. Thanks so much.
Oh thank god! I needed this right now
This one is incredible 😮😮 my wrists never felt better! Thanks doc
Bro… fixing all my problems, knee pain now this thank you !!
OmG thank you . Im waiting for the results. My right wrist couldn't handle a single push up for more than 1 year. Now I feel i can regain this ability.

Love you brother. Thank you 🙂
Excellent tip, solved my life long problems

I had wrist pain doing cleans this video saved my life
This is great!!!! TY!!! I broke my wrist a few years ago…push ups & bench presses have never been the same. Hopefully this will help.
Me too..fell of a bike. This looks promising
Bro is a magician
Link to that guys channel? I think he’s from Hawaii
Ty that helped me
I used to work for a chain fence installation company 20 something years ago and when we were doing a back stop for a baseball feild. And the company i worked for was a Lil ghetto. Instead of renting a Cherry picker like most companies do our boss had us setting up scaffolding on the back of a flatbed truck. And walking up a ladder with a 150 pound of 9 gauge wire with the role at 6 foot long balancing it on my shoulder as i climb up the scaffolding and the role started see- Sawing in the wind and as it started to flip behind me my fingers were caught up in the wire mash and it basically ripped the muscles in my upper left side of my chest leaving a hernia the size of a grapefruit protruding out of my chest and my Left hand was useless for about a year or 2 , to this day i can only use my left hand for limited weight, mostly i use it for balancing weight. I never went to the hospital. I was a heroin addict at the time so i basically self medicated myself and went back to work only able to use my right arm . So im sure i messed it up by not allowing it to heal properly under a professional care. I was hard headed back then. Is this the only method you have to heal wrist pain from injury 🤕
What do you think about chiropractic adjustments for the wrist?
Just use 2 dumbbells long ways hands on the weighted part wrist straighter and a longer range of motion
Awesome
I ran into this problem with sudo planche push-ups from a deficit (a big favorite exercise of mine) you can avoid the issue and make it a little easier on the shoulders by externally rotating so you have something like a neutral grip, very comfortable actually.
When i had wrist pain while working out at home, my solution was simply to circumvent it and do knuckle push ups
Thank you
Damn. My mobility and flexibility has always been bad, but my wrist been acting funny since I failed a a lift about a month ago. Just tried this and my wrist feels like new. Gonna keep progressively building it back stronger
This definitely works just tried it and wrist pain is little to nothing compared to before
Are you noticing long term benefits or is the pain only gone for the next while?
@@lucaskumara8701 yes it’s going away maybe another week of doing and all pain will be gone but I will continue to train wrist for strength and flexibility even after pain is gone. because I lift heavy and front squat which needs lots of wrist flexibility to get in a good position
This is what I've struggled with for years now
Any advice on timeframes for improving wrist extension?
I don't get this kind of pain while doing pushups. Instead I randomly get a pinching sensation in my wrist when I get into push-up position some times. Not always but many things. It feels like something is in the wrong place and it getting pinched. How to fix that?
That might be from carpal tunnel syndrome. I had it and thought it was causing the pain at the bottom of my palm during pushups. My carpal tunnel got so bad I didn't even want to drive or brush my hair. It started out as a pinch when I would be clinching a cloth while cleaning. Then my hand started falling asleep all the time. It's progressive so the pain gets worse until it is fixed.
I'm no expert and can be pretty ignorant sometimes, so I could be completely wrong. But you might talk to your doctor about it.
High value video,i have that too.
Another problem when i extend my hand i hear 2 cracks in my left elbow some excerise as diamond push ups it hurts.what do I do?
I got pain between the Index and thumb.. any personal exercise recomended??
Thankx on everyone who got a tip..
I needed this I'll be checking letting yall know if it works for me
Hows it going?
@Dom Reading legit forgot I comment this but I did this and believe it or not my risk supports my weight. And I noticed it didn't have pain when I wad working and not exercising cause I always warmed up before exercising and during work well I dont so much. But yes I recommend most stuff this channel puts out
Can you list your equipment
broke my wrist thanks
jk thanks for all your videos makes ome more on shoulder pain and improving them thanks
I get wrist pain after hammer curls what will help with that
I haven’t tried it but this looks like it will hurt so bad.
Had keinbocks disease which makes me do fist push ups
I honestly thought I just had tendinitis in my right wrist, but I may have Kienbock's disease now that I think about it because I to have to do fist/knuckle pushups to alleviate/reduce any tension on my wrist while doing pushups.
Time to go seek a professional and get this taken care of, thanks for opening my eyes with your comment :]
What if the wrist is swollen and hurts?
I assume this will help qith wrist pain whilst low bar squatting ?
What if your wrist is actually jacked up? Like popping and bone protruding out?
How much resistance (ie weight) should the band be
Is this the same for curls? I switched to ez bar curls but it still hurts once I let go of the bar or when I go near failure.
What if this recreates my pain? Because a have like a some sort of ball in the middle of my wrist. I have this type of pain for my whole life and it keeps coming to me if i do something that focuses on it. Do you know something i can do about it?
What about carpal tunnel?
I have ulnar wrist pain. Is there anything I can do in particular to that? My wrists seem a bit too fragile when doing physical things. The other day I was playing pickleball, and I did an overhead serve. My wrist made a sound and there was some pain for a moment and it went away. This resurfaced a few days later when I was in the gym. Pulling motions caused pain after like 50 pounds or so. In the ulnar area once again
Can I do pull ups with tfcc?
I arrived here looking for reasons why my hands hurt when I do pushups. I thought it was from the carpal tunnel but it got worse after surgery. I feel silly. I have always bent my wrist back to try to stretch them into feeling better. I just bent them each forward for just a moment and they feel better than they have in years. I'm no body builder or fitness enthusiast, but I'm ashamed at how unaware I can be about my own body.
what if my wrist goes off to the side a bit when I do them? Has anyone experienced this?
What it's not my wrist that hurts, It's the ball or palm of my left hand during the push up. Holding my weight is OK. I've had an injury from an accident in the center of my left hand 2 yrs ago.
Can you do a short about wrist hurting except when benching? Or can this method help with that
This will definitely help with that, also how you're gripping the bar is important as well.
Damn so you basically treat your lunate just like the talus?
I’ve tried to figure out what you are saying but I don’t think I’m getting it. My right wrist is jacked up from punching. I can barely do three pushups it’s super painful but I can do pushups on my knuckles but that hurts in an obviously different way.

Do more on tennis elbow ... I need the help
I just fixed that
@@xCoNa14 no ... my arm still hurts must have been another person you fixed

Elbow pain when doing skullcrushers?
Warm up your elbows by starting off with like 2 sets of reduced weight than your regular rep weight
Stop doing skullcrushers all together depending on your pain level.
I had a problem with my right arm while i was doing lateral plank with extended elbow ruclips.net/video/h2TOAz3BJ_Q/видео.html
I'm not training now, cause i have too much work to do in this period. I think my scapula was involved (poor mobility and stability) and both the elbow and wrist also. I would like to know more about this kind of stuff. Thank you so much
I don't understand it, but my left wrist feels like blcoked when doing pushups and tension and might even hurt. However my left wrist extends better than the right one.
It's a scapula mobility limitation maybe
What if my wrists hurt only when doing knuckle pushups ?
Doctor
How much does the wrist extension play a role in building muscles? (If my question makes sense)
Because if it’s healthier for my wrist to be at an angle, then I rather do it like that if it doesn’t affect the efficiency of the exercise
It is not healthier, it is temporary until you gain the required mobility and range of motion
@@perotal healthier as in less straining
And is it required for push ups?
My right shoulder hurts. Can you help?
Go to a professional and be more explicit on how it hurts. There are so many things that could hurt in a shoulder
Just use push up bars rather than the unsafe set up to keep your wrist neutral.
What if you have a ganglion cyst?
first go to doctor, if you don't want to then just give your wrist some rest, dont play with it and keep it warm with warm salt wrapped in a piece of cloth.
Kienbock tho
You never show what to do if you have pain doing those movements
Well as he said in the video, if it hurts, don’t do it normally first. Follow the exercises in the video, and as he said at the end, with time you can remove the towel. But you need to work in wrist flexibility and such first
I have the same problem but I get random pains in my forearms aswell last like 1 second and it’s gone then may return like 3 hours later for 1 sec then it goes
OR just do push ups from your knuckles and not wrist! Just saying
