I’m in my early 40s and just adore his painting style. It brings me back to the jigsaw puzzles we did as teenagers in the 90s. I think it’s the comfort in the scenery, colors, and subject matter that I like so much

Hello Jeri , from England. My maternal ancestors were some of the first sailing from Plymouth to the New World, Orville and Wilbur Wright are also on my family tree my mother often used to tell us her family history, as it was told to her.My eldest son lived in America for 15 years, in Colarado he enjoyed the places he went to and the people who shared his life, but time went on and he felt the pull of home calling him back, he is settled now with a family living in middle England. My paternal family from Southern Ireland also have connections with America, as one of my Irish relatives told me there are more of this family in America than " old Ireland." Many nationalities helped build America including the Indigenous nations, the folk art books you showed here are a good collection of the various nations history. I like to collect old crockery etc and put them to good use, better that than have them stored behind glass, especially afternoon tea a ritual that deserves to be done properly in any country. 🤗 Thank you for sharing and with such ease of keeping the conversation going with your farmyard animals trying to get in on the vocals . Great stuff, I especially like to hear the Peacocks . Thankyou once again Jeri. 🤗🌞🙏

That is interesting because I have deep roots in England and have a strong affinity to all things English. My brother-in-law was a Genealogist and traced my dads ancestry to the Plantagenets ( which lead in dozens of fascinating directions).
Your son chose an interesting state, Colorado, ( that's where I grew up!) as a good representation of the WEST. Yes, this country was developed from many different cultures, we used to be called the Melting pot.

I love working the Charles Wysocki jigsaw puzzles. I’ve done a winter, summer and fall 1000 piece puzzles of his beautiful prints. Don’t have the heart to take them apart after finishing them so I seal them with Mod Podge, frame and hang in my sewing room. After watching your video, I ordered a spring to complete my seasons. Puzzles are a great way to relieve stress and I always work one during a hurricane.

I love Charles Wysocki's work, and I love Currier and Ives. I have that dish set, enough pieces to feed a crowd, and a couple other brands too which feature Currier and Ives lithographs. I believe I have that book by Charles Wysocki, and I have a couple of books about Currier and Ives. I really love Americana. I have almost all of the "Early American" magazines from the 1980s and 1990s. I don't decorate in primitive style, mine is much more eclectic, but I do enjoy looking back. Your garden looks so nice and the seating arrangement is perfect! We have been enjoying our peaches this year. First time since 2019 we've gotten any and we didn't get very many, but I'm so thankful for all the fruit we've gotten this year. We've had a great 4th so far. We're celebrating my hubby's "independence day" too. He official retired from financial employment June 30th!! We hosted about 40 people today for BBQ. We even had a peach cobbler! Now everyone is gone, and I came inside to rest for a bit and found you had posted this new video. I'm so thankful for these moments of respite you've shared with me after a very full day with family and friends. Thank you! God bless you and James, and God bless America always. (Please Lord, maybe a bit more especially during this election year).

I have so many old copies of EAL, in fact, I did an article for them back in the 1980's on making Cornhusk dolls. I love the primitive style of decorating, but I couldn't live without wallpaper and English style patterns, and Edwardian pieces. I guess I too am eclectic.

I also use my mother's copy of the Betty Crocker Cookbook; I think mine is 1951, and my parents had some of those transferware dishes, but I think a later date without the serpentine embellishment on the edges (or was ours made by another company; I'll have to look that up). I think I need to go antiquing soon... 😂

I'm late to the party but nevertheless I'm so glad I came 😅. Beautiful as always ❤. I have those dinner plates! I found some at the thrift store ❤❤❤❤. I'm on the hunt for more dishes to add to my collection.

HelloJeri thank you for your reply. My brother Dora same our family tree has many branches too interesting we go back to Norman onquest Plantagenet, Tudors right on to King Charles 3rd and family. It would not surprise me if there was a connection with your family or ancestors, thankfully we can't be held responsible for their behaviour. It's also interesting I have always been interested in American history.hugs.

Ah, Jeri, I have quite a large sets of the Courier and Ives dinnerware and I have the tea pot and all the goodies that go with it. I also have and loved that same cookbook. It was my mother's, as well! Mine shows some ware but I think not quite as much as yours has! That is a much loved cookbook! I love the cornbread recipe that's in that cookbook. It's my favorite and it uses Crisco! I love that! It adds the prettiest sheen to the cornbread! 😋
Happy Independence Day from a beautiful Texas panhandle. It's been so incredibly hot for quite a while but, we got a little rain yesterday and we have more coming with a cool down. I am taking this opportunity to throw some seeds out. I am putting out hollyhock seed and zinnia and maybe something else. I am looking for the late summer and fall colors that will bring.
Be blessed! And, as always, God Bless America! I also pray that America will be better about blessing God! In Jesus name!

I'll try out the cornbread recipe, using the Crisco. I too pray that America will wake up and return to it's roots.

I am surprised your store doesn't have your prints, post cards, and books! I have enjoyed the books, and the art. I like large mugs, and I have too many mugs. I would buy any print you had in a heart beat. I use Currier & Ives. I wish it were better weather here in Georgia for a picnic. Night!

My store is my website: www.jerilanders.com I sell all my books, prints, cards, and fiber sculptures on my shop. The shop with my mugs is something completely different.
