I don't frequent Antique shops much these days, because our house is already filled with antiques, I've collected old things since I was a youngster. So instead of taking you on a shop tour, we will be taking a house tour. In episode 1 of "The Olde Curiousity Shop" in this old house, we'll be looking at a 200 yr old rug, a cupboard full of pewter and Britainnia-ware teapots, old books, a Sampler, Childrens playthings and a few pieces of Early American country furniture.

It is always so interesting to me to listen to you talk about and explain the purposes of all your treasures. There is always something one can learn. Thank you Jeri for taking the time to share them, I truly appreciate it ❣️
I agree!!! I absolutely loved it all…as always ❤️
Yes!!
Yes, please more videos like this. Stella is adorable.
My mother read this to her five children and we all loved it! We also were happy...and poor. That book gave us all a sense of family love.
I hope you will continue to take us on tours of the antiques in your home, it is fascinating, informative and fun. Thank you!
Wonderful! I watched enthralled and it ended too soon. I can't wait for the next one. Your calm and serene voice lends itself perfectly to the antique vibes of these precious items. I have watched each and every video of your cozy antique home over and over! How I would love to live there to cook in your kitchen, bathe in your bathroom, relax in your parlour with an old book and then retire in that garden like bedroom under an old quilt this is what dreams are made of. Thanks so much for this episode and can't wait for the next one. Love from Lin in Michigan ❤💚
How nice!
Watching Stella was adorable !
Such a joy to be shown some of your antiques! I loved so much from the bells over your door to the books to Stella! Thank you for sharing and Happy Thanksgiving, belated.

.
What a wonderful share! Thank you for this delightful tour of your collection. Yes, please more of these. 😊 And be sure to give Stella a squeeze and a hug from me! What a cutie!
Antique lover too though being “old” and collecting for years I don’t go to antique shops either. We love and collect many of the same things and contrary to what people think I don’t have to dust very often either. I love the old general store type bells above your door! Thank you for sharing your home with us, love it♥️
One good thing about it…I think, dust goes well with antiques 😉
@@debbieconnelley342 agree🤗
@@debbieconnelley342 Indeed it does, good thing!
I so enjoyed your antique show and tell❤ Please do more! Your collections are fascinating and bring joy to you, thanks for sharing them with us!
I collect miniatures and have a huge dollhouse. So I loved seeing your small tea sets, they are so adorable.
Thankyou Jeri for the tour of some of your treaasures. It is very interesting. I really the store bells above the door.
Oh Jeri. I have those shop bells and never knew what they were for. I got them in an antique shop years ago but they never said what they were. I thought maybe they were used on a buggy or something. I was so happy to find out. Thank you for doing these antique RUclips videos.
Yeah! Now you can put them above your door.
THE BEST...PLEASE CONTINUE!!!!!
Wonderfilled ! Thank you for sharing your home and heart 😘✨️🧚♂️✌️💞🤟
Lovely stories behind your treasures. Keep them coming!❤
Such a treat. Thank you so much. I too love antiques, history, old books and nature due to my mother and both parents actually. What a blessing that you still have her. I really, really miss my parents.
Thank you Jeri
I am so happy you decided to do this series. I have loved your prior videos where I can spy on all your beautiful antiques. You were fortunate to know at a young age how much joy these collections would give you later in life. Thank you. I am very jealous of your collections.
I'm glad I got a collection going before the prices soared!
Good evening, such a joyous way to spend mine tonight. Always inspired. I recently bought several books by Jane Eayre Fryer, the Mary Frances books, on sewing, cooking, gardening and knitting/crocheting. I have never heard of the author nor the books, but they are just delightful. Mrs. Fryer was extremely talented in story telling and verse of poem. She was a teacher. I am enjoying them greatly. I have heard of the Five Little Peppers series, but have never read them. I went to Ebay and did find an old copy for a very fair price as well as the antique toy bazaar catalog. Many thanks Jeri for the time spent to bring us timeless treasures. The hand written 'land transfer' is a piece I would find mesmerizing, as you pointed out the handwriting, which is really a lost quaility today and jut the history of the piece. I can get quite carried away. ") In Joy P.S. love the corncob candles.
I have all the Mary Frances books, except the knitting. I introduced the garden book on a video last summer, really cute books!
I will go find that video and watch; I don't think I did as I believe I would have remembered seeing that book. They are very cute, I find myself laughing about Sewing Bird. Again, thanks for sharing so much with all of us. A wonderful Birthday Blessing to your mama. @@JeriLandersofHopalongHollow
Thank you for this video…..I too am a fan of early antiques and enjoy seeing what others collect and how they display and enjoy them. I would be very happy to see more of this type of video
Would love to have the bells over my front door. Love the door bell
I loved the shop bells above your door! The sound was lovely. Listening to your calm and soothing voice as you tell your stories is so relaxing!
I really enjoyed this so much. Everything is always so interesting. I love the way you arrange it all. ~ Janet 😘

BENDICIONES...
I loved it!
Wonderful video!! I love old things and enjoyed this immensely❤️
Thank you for the tour❤
I loved the tour,I love antiques as well they are a lot of the time better quality and design then today.I like to think what someone in 1846 or whatever date looked like how they dressed, thoughts when they read these books or used these items. We are restoring a old farmhouse in Connecticut built 1859 think its older, but the back steps are original are so worn down on the edge from people going up and down.I can only imagine how hard life was. Thanks for the smile,.. god bless.Hi Stella cutie
I love the age of your house, worn old steps and floors are the best!
I absolutely loved this video. With my health taking a turn for the worse, I'm not able to get out and go antiquing or to museums. So thank you so much for sharing your beautiful treasures with us ❤
Most times it's better to be home.
I really enjoyed this tour. You are very talented and knowledgeable person. I loved all of your treasures. I grew up around antiques and vintage things through my dad. I have him to thank for many things. You have a very peaceful and calming voice. Thank you once again. 🗝️🛎️⚖️🧭
Love it all! Thanks for the tour.
Lovely video Jeri, perfect for a cold, cozy night here in New England. I adore your indoor antique videos as well as when you are cooking, baking or making corn husk dolls! My mom will be 98 on December 1st, please wish your mom a happy birthday! I feel like we always have so much in common in loving so many of the same things, can’t wait for your next video, thank you for sharing!
My mom's birthday is Dec. 2nd!
@@JeriLandersofHopalongHollow Happy Birthday Jeri's mother.
So lovely, to still have your moms. My mom passed away at 48 yrs old.
I just ordered Five Little Peppers from the online libary catalogue. So good to hear that your mother is still alive and enjoying her antiques!
You will love the story.
Being a cross stitch fanatic, I keep seeing all the stitching. Thanks for telling about it. Love this idea! Wonderful video. Stella!!!
We honestly love to hear you talk about just anything. You make us all relax and feel warm and cozy. Very grateful for the time you share here😊❤️
This was very interesting I so enjoyed it…. love the tea set antiques you have.Would love to see more. Thank you for sharing.
SO delightful…beautiful to hear your stories and to see these incredible vintage, heirloom antiques! ❤
I love this
I am so excited!!!!!!! Perfect video ! These and the cooking ones and teaching ones are my favorite ! Comforting and warm to watch by the fire with the Christmas lights going. Love when you make the animals too and show Vintage books. You are a blessing.
Hi Jeri, well can you believe it’s soon going to be Christmas already! I mean Thanksgiving just flew by and I am now searching the countryside for a real Christmas tree up here this week.
Yes, I agree that it’s much more civilized to partake from fine China. I hope you will show us another Christmas tree and something cooked to celebrate the special holiday. I love those shop door bells, very special and the sound brings back memories because we had a little candy store that had them growing up.
That rug is amazing! Great history on it. You do have an amazing collection of tea pots. I did not know you lost things to a fire, that’s a terrible thing to happen. I know as my Aunt lost her home to a fire and my mother almost lost hers due to a house fire next to her that was lost.
Those corn candles are very interesting. I don’t collect dolls but I did start collecting old tin robot and space toys. learned a lot from this video and appreciate the tour of your home ‘museum’. 😊 just look at the beautiful penmanship of that letter BTW….. God Bless ……Brian
I will certainly do some Christmas cooking and decorating in the next few weeks.. Tin Robots and Space toys, How fun!
This is fabulous! More please, and I love your Stella kitty!
Какие замечательные вещи! Уютные.
I’ve been waiting for a video like this. The very first video I ever saw from you was when you showed your bathroom and I was hooked on your videos. I love the way you make me appreciate all my old, old stuff which I now call antique 😊. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge on all the beautiful things of the past. Can’t wait to see more.
I would love to hear you narrate The Five Little peppers in segments. Thoroughly enjoyed this video. Lol at Stella.
I thought about that...
I could sit and listen to you talk about your antiques for hours. I LOVE all things old and started collecting when I was 12. Because I love collecting I opened an Etsy store so that I could save even more antiques. I especially love all things needleworked and dolls. Thankyou Jeri I'm really going to enjoy these episodes 😊xx
Hi Jeri , I just love your show & tell such history lessons ! I have a cast iron toy that was my grandfather's he was born in 1907. The toy is a little cart pulled by a camel and it looks like a clown in the cart?! Your mom is 97 , what a blessing ! I'm looking forward to another tour! Have a joyful week ! Paula ~ Indiana
Wow, that sounds like great toy!
Thank you for this lovely visit...
Thank you , Jeri, much enjoyed. Especially appreciated the books and your description of curling up on a cold evening with a classic.🥀
Omg,, so loved this when it came up ,thankyou darling for this video,,, love and wishes from LILLE MARIE, xo
Loved seeing your treasures and look forward to seeing lots more! I like that you talked about your items too!
I have collected anitques and sold for over 50 years. I love old things and saving them...this was a great video. I am collecting your books...I have two so far. LOVE them. You are so talented. I really enjoy your videos. Love the lifestyle you lead. I was in New England not far from Tasha Tudor and we restored a 1745 cape. Life changed and I am now a widow in MO. but still enjoying my special antique smalls.
So happy you like the books!
The restoration of a house that old must have been an incredible experience; the older the better, I always say.
Beautiful! I have inherited most of my antique items from my mother in law and grandmothers on both sides. Some of my family think I have "too many things" but like you I like to look at them and tell the history of them and enjoy them. Thank you for sharing.
We are not Minimalists are we?!!
@@JeriLandersofHopalongHollow definitely not. :)
I very much enjoyed this video and would love to see more!
Oh jeri you and your friend Stella must Do more of these videos! I love the stories as you tell them in your melodious voice that gives me a restful feeling🩷 keep them coming I watch them over and over!
Stella is very full of herself right now.
My favorite part was Stella in the lampshade. ❤
I get such inspiration from your home/videos. I would love to see all you have. ❤💚
Jeri, I love your home. I loved it all. I have always wanted a pie safe and a Hoosier cabinet and so many of the humble hardworking home pieces. I have a ceramic doll I made, I started working on the dress probably 40 years ago, but never finished. I started it as a gift for a friend, but to my shame I didn't finished it before the friend moved away, we lost contact, and the doll got put away with my craft things and buried in boxes filled with other unfinished or unrealized dreams. Maybe someday I will finish her dress and let her come out for air. I LOVE old books! I so enjoy finding antique books with writing inside the covers and on the margins. Usually it's children practicing their writing or drawing skills but I've also found handwritten poems and stories on those "blank" pages. In one book a woman had recorded a fight between two men that she had witnessed; almost like a testimony or legal statement she wanted written down so she wouldn't forget the details. You just never know what you'll find! I love old catalogs too. That rug from your friend is so gorgeous!! What a great find!! I could go on and on about your curiosity shop, but I'll stop and just say, Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us. It is a joy!
How interesting, the note about the men fighting. Most of the writing I find inside the cover of the old books are childrens scribblings and one has the drawing of a monster.
I am often accused of having a condo of curiosities! I just love odd and interesting antiques. Thanks Jeri!❤
I so enjoyed your video. I love antiques so much it’s like connecting to people in generations of times gone by. It’s so warming an interesting to listen to your description of all the unique pieces you have.
I love the connection to the past and it's people, such a different world than today.
Thank you so much for the books you have. Some titles are very special. And some are not as.
I have the Five Little Peppers there is also a movie.
So many classic books are rare treasures
Simply amazing ❤
I was just thinking how much I missed your stories. I love it so much. Can't wair for the next one.
Yes I would love to see you antiques
Truly enjoy your post. Gorgeous furbaby.
Oh this series is going to be so good !! Excited to see your collections. Thank you for sharing with us.
Loved this video, you have a beautiful old home, I look forward to the next one.
What a treat! Thank you! You have so many beautiful things❤
That rug!!! Your home is full of treasures!
Ooo yes please... more guided talks about your collections and Stella's antics xx❤
Loved the tour. More please. Lol
Thank you so much, for showing us, some of your treasures. Along with their histories, as well. Plus some of your own histories, about your purchases, etc. Along with your cute 'kitty', as well. Peeking-out from the lampshade. I love collecting, too. Hope you and your husband, had a nice, Thanksgiving. Plan to look-up, Westminster Pewter. Your pieces are lovely! First time seeing, a Pie storing cabinet, like yours. Really neat! They knew what to do and make, in those day's. Often, multi-purpose, as you know. Especially in those antique Mahogany pieces. Your house is lovely and charming. Those little bells, you added, really makes it All, special! Your video here, makes my Sunday...special! Making us feel, like a guest and sharing a nice cup, of tea! Love your Tea Service's and Doll's, too! Etc., etc! Garden's, included. Best Wishes Always, Barb [So. CA]
HI Barbara, yes, those old pieces of furniture were built to last and so they have!
I read the Five Little Peppers as a child!❤
Thank you for showing us some of your beautiful antiques. I love the old books, tea sets, pie safe, and desk. I'm looking forward to your next home antique show.
P. S. Stella is adorable and quite a character.
I am a cross-stitcher but not samplers. I stitch tree ornaments and smalls about 5 to 6 inches that I make into flat folds and such. At present I am stitching 3x3 squares of a gingerbread village as I’m very much loving all things gingerbread at the Christmas holidays. I was going to inform you that the sampler was indeed hand stitched but you already came to that realization. I follow a stitcher from Florida who does beautiful samplers of every shape and size and her walls are covered in her works…just beautiful! I so enjoy your in the house vlogs knowing that the content will be very enjoyable and far removed from soil digging. While my gardening love still enjoys your outdoor vlogs it’s always nice to switch things up from time to time. Jeri, I chuckled at your “dusting” admission because I too am not good at keeping the perfect home after 3 back surgeries but a swifter now and again will take care of cobwebs and dust bunnies enough to satisfy me. My husband never complains and I seldom entertain any more so it’s all good. About to enjoy part two over a simple plate of food and know I won’t be disappointed. Thanks for sharing your treasures!!!:):):)
Thank you for sharing. I love samplers too and do cross stitching. I cannot afford a true antique one. I have a repro shoefly sleigh rocker. Love it
I love your videos can't wait to watch this one today, thank you 😊
ps-the five little peppers book from your mother is just lovely. the fact that you care for it so is just even lovelier.
Hi Jeri, oh my, yes I would love to see more videos of your lovely home and antiques! And that sampler, boy did you score on that. As a cross stitcher, I can say that took many, many hours to stitch. What a beauty! Stella is adorable! Looking forward to your next video.
Thank you for sharing your love of antiques! Your kitty Stella is precious!
Delightful, thank you! ❤ I also own the book Five Little Peppers and How They Grew, my mom introduced me to the old movies based on the novels and they hold a special place in my heart. So many of the things that you share are things I adore. I currently have Bell's Palsy and I have watched this over and over, it helps take my mind off the pain. ❤
You are so welcome! I'm glad the videos are helpful and I wish you well.
So many treasures, love love ...
Thank you for sharing your treasures and kitty Stella with us♥️
Yes! I am the same. Been collecting for decades and love your great talent for decor and arrangements of your collections.
I have my grandparent’s pie safe in my kitchen. I cherish it! Love your warm home and all your treasures. Old books are such a joy and I have many antique dolls though some are hiding under a bed at the moment. Love these videos!
Bring out those dollies!
I love this Jeri! I have similar collections with eclectic antiques and I do some dealing in antique dolls and teddy bears. I ordered the book too! My first love are prewar Steiff German stuffed animals ❤️. I have a few antique French and German dolls; Jumeau and Francoise Gaultier French Fashions. I have a Jumeau Bebe that was originally purchased for $75 in 1883! these dolls were status symbols and mostly displayed and pictures taken with them. I also love your cat and her bell and antics, so cozy like we are there with you, so adorable ❤️. Thank you for this! I look forward to more 🤩
Steiff are great but I don't have any. My best doll is a Greiner from 186o's. $75 in 1883 was a small fortune!
Thank you Jeri. I always like to have a cup of tea in hand while watching your videos. I love your books.
Thanks for the wonderful story of all your beautiful antique things❤
Yes, more please! This was fun.
I so enjoyed you showing and talking about your antiques Thank you so much, I also love antiques.
I was so excited to see this video on my feed- this was really such a treat! What a treasure box your cozy home is. I especially loved the old shop chimes above the door, they sounded just lovely. I love hearing about each item’s history as well as your own personal story behind the piece. Thank you Jeri for giving us a glimpse of your beautiful antique collections, I cannot wait to see more! P.S. Stella is too adorable! ❤
You are so welcome!

O how fortunate you are to still have your mother😊 i lost a lot in a fire when I was young too i was 6 yrs. Old. The look and smell of your scorched and melted baby dolls was just awful. I enjoyed watching this video rhank you for sharing your lovly things. Love it all ❤
Sorry to hear that
So fitting that your video about the curiosity shop would begin with someone being curious. ☺️💕. Don’t you love that animals are always interested in what we are doing. Interesting video! Lovely.
I'm surprised my other kitty, Titus, wasn't in the room adding to the festivities!
I really enjoyed this video Jeri. I love looking at your antiques and learning about them.
