@@metallboy25 well, LE is kinda lacks at that department. There are very few skills that can be converted fully to multiple elements - usually 1 or 2, by trees, and even less with items. I believe rn there are 5 or even less items with conversion for all classes combined.
In GD tho, you can literally make ANY skill be ANY element, as long as yore willing to grind the ever loving shit out of the game and get needed items. It doesn't get more silly, than converting disintegrating beam into literally a physical attack. And it shows in the animation for the skill.

Yeah, and it has nothing to do with a game quality or developers way of supporting it. It simpli wasn't popular or well marketed to begin with, and had to compete with Poe at its peak. No shit it lost))) but still, even all these years later, game is alive and getting updates.

There is a bunch of generic damage % in the lich passive tree and if you are willing to go low life you can even triple the very first one. WIth a max rolled t7 poison damage on the sword and all the generic damage nodes of acolyte and lich tree plus a few poison damage nodes you will already be over 800% poison damage, capping your crit chance without a single point of crit in your build.
Not having cthonic fissure could be problematic. Also i dont think genetic increases will give crit chance, only specifically "increased poison damage"
@@Versiforms you will still have chtonic fissure as all nodes you need are in the base lich tree you can access with a warlock. Generic damage actually applies at increases to every single damage type on your character sheet so it does count
@@Deloxor cthonic fissure is a mastery skill so no, you will not have access to it as a lich. As for the way the acid skin node is worded i dont think generic damage will scale it but i could be wrong.

I didn't know the sword was that buggy. That explains when I tried to make a character using it it was a train wreck and I quickly went back to necrotic damage lmao
Is there any other instance in LE about being able to convert a damage type twice? I don't recall any which makes me think that's by design not a bug.

i just spent 3 days trying to make this sword work, acid skin has a node, acid bane, per 10% poison damage =1% extra crit chance on acid skin and acid skin can be applied with flame whip. i farmed up 10% base crit with 800% poison damage with 600% necro rez just to try and get flame whip to consistently hit crits and it worked. BUT even with 680% crit multi i still was only hitting flame whips for 3.6k to 4k damage. if they fix the flame whip to poison conversion. this sword will make sense.
I wanted to play a version of this for a while and was so sad the conversion didn’t get fixed in the patch note. Hopefully soon !
Has anyone investigated Death Seal ward consumption nodes to give massive amounts of necrotic res as a way to scale this build?
Death Seal is Lich only, Chthonic is Warlock only
Technically you can make poison hit. Profane Veil is a spell dot with a hit component through Profane Orb. Theres an offhand that gives spell dots up to +29 poison spell damage. Multiply that with the mad alchemist wand etc. Stack giga int for poison pen on Aura of Decay. Im currently trying this interaction and afaik it works. Not 100% sure but im doing well with it in emp monos lol. Also working on Profane Orb hit/crit with bleed version (which is prob the best way to play for Profane Orb lol). Stack turbo curse spell cast speed for a billion orbs! 60% more dmg per curse is juicy.
I was so worried when I found the sword and saw no one using it. Hyped to see all the builds around it.
getting a good version of this sword is kinda tough, had so many with bad rolls on in.

I just made RM alt but WL is next for sure. I like that I cane have so much sepace in chest so sometimes some random drop turns into GG item next day

I think it should proberly say poison instead of necrotic in Pyrochasm alt-tooltip. Because Valley of Defilment clearly state it is converting to poisen when you take the node. So most likely a spelling error and not a bug. Just my guess.
there's no such thing as hit-based poison damage in Last Epoch. I assume this is an intentional feature.
@@PerrythePig Pretty sure there is hit based poison... the mages in act 9 throw poison balls at you that do a single hit of poison damage. I think this person is correct, it's just a tooltip typo, not a bug. lastepochtools even shows the poison conversion despite it going against that piece of the tooltip. Their data is scraped directly from the game files, correct? Pretty sure the necrotic part is wishful thinking. It would be extremely overpowered if it did function that way.

Soooo there's more then 1 part that's not working right? "Chthonic Fisures's skill tree applies to Flame Whip from all sources" this is just not working for any node...
Does Mantle of flames not scale fissure of wrath?
If you can live without leech, wouldn't melee crit chance and the one leech conversion node in lich tree be better since it gives you up to 40% crit chance AND actually gives 400% increased necrotic?

i think scaling "%chance to ignite on hit" => Spell Damage is a good place to start currently, but the build I talk about in the video excites me so much more
Wait what? Does proclasm change the base to necrotic instead of poison? You can make full necrotic fissure instead of fire/necrotic?
Take a look at the Alt Text on those 2 nodes in question -- the hit component gets converted to Necrotic
do you have a full list of nodes that actually work with the whips after the patch?
Need more damage on iy. With my xalted 1 h off hand combo I do 19k per second with this it goes to 8k so not worth it right now
I'd love a clarification on that Acidbane node since I wanted to do this build as well. It says "This bonus crit chance is not affected by other crit strike chance modifiers" Does that just mean that % increase crit chance nodes don't affect it and it's kind of a dead stat for this build or am I misinterpreting it? This would mean that you'd need to get 750% poison damage increase to cap with just that, right? (5% base + 20% from the previous node)
Correct and correct. T7 %increased Poison damage on my 2h Legendary Sword, here I come!
Not just Poison Damage, but Damage Over Time and sources of generic increased Damage also work. It's actually lowkey busted.

have we tested this since patch to see if it works? from what i can see Valley of Defilement doesnt seem to change flame whips scaling to necrotic/poison still
yep, I recorded this right after the patch, after testing it. Its not functional yet

since acid skin is a debuff on the enemy i don't think it would give you increased critical strike chance.
