Lyra’s evil tell is her bumbling townsfolk play. She always gets loud on the last two days and will say some version of “I’m not sure what’s going on, I’ll do whatever Town wants me to do” or she’ll try to rope people into making her false information work. She does it to pull focus as a minion and she’ll do it as a demon to either make herself look like a droisened townsfolk or a minion not worth killing. She does it every time and it always works, lol. No hate from me, I just find it amusing no one has picked up on it!
"Confused" play is a really, really common tell. Players who are bold and confident as town will start saying "I've lost track of the game, nothing makes sense" as scum. It can work, too, it's just some people are very obvious with it...

The spy can misregister to the noble, the grandmother, the empath and the seamstress. The poisoner can mess with the information of the general or the high priestess. That's the only way I can make a sober math 5 on night 1 work. There is no recluse, the poisoner is the only source of night 1 poison/drunkenness on the script. The Drunk doesn't trigger the math.
Makes me really want to see a game where Ben just tries to set up a game where a sober math can get as high a number as possible. (though a lot of it seems to fall to luck with the grim positions and player choice)
@@FixerFour I wonder if it wasn't mostly to say that you shouldn't, there is a bit of story teller education going on here inbetween all the shenanigans.
These games were hilarious and amazing to watch live. Very glad I caught the stream that day! Patters is an agent of chaos and I love every game he's in.
If you want a specific character to be the Marionette, then you hand out no Demon token, make one of the Marionettes neighbours into the Demon and give them the character they pulled as one of their bluffs. it's completely within the Marionette's rules. - Ben
@@BloodontheClocktower Oh? I didn't find that on the Marionette page on the website, but I guess the physical rulebook is more detailed? Or is it just one of those things you can do because it doesn't break anything mechanically?
Not really, the noble usually shares pings immediately, or is cagey with info. So either way, the High Priestess isn’t learning that info, or everyone learns it anyways
@@gemhunter498 agreed - and the noble info isnt particulary pressing either - like keep it hidden and the demon might narrow the field for you starting a confirmation chain with a gambler on day one is much more powerful (and it helps not leaving them hanging out to dry) another interesting but possibly unusual day 1 option could be sending them to the summoner if one exists - it would probably be hard to parse, but insanely powerful if they figure out that might be the reason but the one thing you should never do is: doing it the same every game, because that becomes way too predictable^^
You can look up every role on the wiki (like I just did to check). In short, it allows custom rules to be in effect. This is necessary for "jinxed" roles, where they have an unusual interaction (this game has summoner and marionette, and the jinx is explained just above Ben's head on the script)
For game 1 it may have be a stretch of the atheists ability but i would have let the game continue, beardy is now the atheist sam is the offscript lunatic with a random minion in the bag for no reason.
Why is there a spot to put names it everyone is going to say "they" all the time? 🤔 They/them are gender neutral pronouns, they apply to everyone because they are irrespective of gender. Pronouns are shown so people don't get misgendered if someone chooses to use gendering pronouns
@@Zevrael Ah I see. Apologies I thought you were being dismissive. Firstly "they/them" is just grammatically sound, pronouns or not. Secondly, you might not know everyone at the table and people will appreciate that in conversation.
They/them is pretty much always correct. It's what I've always used to refer to folks who are in a group, or whose gender I don't know, since a time long before the gender identity revolution that we've experienced the past few years. You basically can't go wrong with it in my opinion. - Ben
Ah yes, the old "I'm gonna do the exact same thing again, they'll never see it coming" trick.
The concept of a Marionette getting hijacked is still hilarious.
Ben: I have a plan…
Patters: Hold my beer
Aggie’s observation about the mario atheist wanting to execute the storyteller either way is on point.
Wahoo, there isa no god
I was waiting for Ben to tell something like "YOU GOT A FIVE! REJOICE!" to patters lol
I wanted him to say REJOICE!! so bad the second night lol.
When I see Atheist Marionette and patters, I click play.
Damn patters! 😂
I love patters so much, his chaos is so fun
I wish there was an outsider character called a bridesmaid that similar to the lunatic but instead you think you’re a minion
With a Frankenstein's monster's bride symbol
When Aggie nomiated Lyra, I thought for certain it was going to be *exactly* like last game!
As soon as the first day started, for a minute I thought Patters was just standing there like that
Everything in this video was worth it just for doubling back to give patters a 5. That was hilarious

Such games, amazing! Patters got what he deserved with the Maths 5 ;)

always love to see a "don't try this at home!" stream
Which demon did JC sell his soul to, to get that third eye? I swear he's see's through Ben's shenanigans every game
24:10 That Aggie was 100% correct in her accusation while Beardy has seen a blue token really made that part superb.
Poor Lyra in the second game, I would _so_ have suspected foul play (aka Atheist world).
Oh Daddy Ben, you have the best ideas.
Mal is so smart! Great players all around
Sending a sober high priestess to a mario atheist on n1 feels like 'yes but don't ' territory to me
Its-a-me, Mario(nette)!
Didn't I send her to the Gambler? - Ben

After seeing Beardy's shorts on this script I was so excited to see the full games
9:48 "Which one's it's gonna be?"
Well, it's on RUclips, sooooo.... 😂😂
Going into day 1 noms and I find it hilarious that even if patters gets true info on the atheist, he will just think Ben is going along with the joke!
Great game both times! The undertaker seeing Summoner still wouldn't work because of the double deaths day 1
With that starting setup if you had made Sam an Empath next to all three evils that could've also provided so much Atheist ammo lmao.
That was an absolutely incredible pair of games. XD
34:40 "Night One Again" 💀💀
A noble marionette that has themself as a ping? That would be interesting?
No such thing as "too stupid"
me at the beginning after hearing "we'll see if it's an athiest game in an hour and a half" "i suppose we, welp, games over"
OFFICIAL LIL MONSTA MERCH?!!?!??!!
3:30 I get why this is unusual. Why is this "legal" without the Gardener (fabled)?

Pretty much. But in this particular instance it has actually been confirmed by the game's designer as a legal move. - Ben
SPOILER
1:38:30 I was so sure Ben was going to say "Congratulations go to.... Aggie's team"
in an atheist game, on N3 ask the atheist to make kazalii picks, then tell them they are the Evil Kazalii, and change their minions to be minions
If a Kazali is created mid game, the Kazali does not choose new Minion players. This would immediately reveal that it is an atheist game.

I assume you mean after he died. Since it's not an Atheist game you can't. In an Atheist game, yes.
