The Souls of the Game: Hank Aaron's record-breaking 715th home run

A nation cheered on April 8, 1974, as Hank Aaron broke the National Pastime's most cherished record. Off the field, Aaron carried the weight of the baseball world on his shoulders while pursuing and ultimately passing Babe Ruth's all-time mark.
Rowan Ricardo Phillips, curatorial consultant for the Hall of Fame's Black Baseball Initiative, discusses the pressure and perseverance that sprung from Aaron's crowning achievement.
