- This is a video of my move bumper that I built took me and a couple of my friends about 2 1/2 days it was actually a lot easier then I thought. You can build one of these if you have basic shop skills and some patience buy a move bumper from :

Got the same bumper for my 99 but with a 30" light bar hole. I've gotten SO many compliments about it. Sexiest bumper out there for these trucks. Got it bed lined with Bullet Liner too

TheAwesomebeast82 Yup it's black. Slowly making everything black and color matching whatever I can, it's looking so clean. I've got tow mirrors coming in this week that I'll be color matching, and they have turn signals which I will spray with a couple light layers of VHT nightshade then clear. Should look amazing.

The welds hurt me
Please don’t try to pull anything or pull your truck from those recovery points, with those welds, somebody will be seriously injured when it comes apart from those nightmare welds!

I would have to agree, I was nervous for you when I saw the welds. All welds looked to be way too cold. Zero penetration. But that’s how I see all these bumpers people build on RUclips.

What type of welder did you use? Im thinking about buying one to weld this bumper on my Dodge Ram also. Thanks
KidProfitz used a 120 mug welder on the outside but stick welded the inside
Id personally just use a 170 mig and take ur time
I’ve heard you need mig to weld these bumpers? How’d that stick welder do?
Andrew Stevens haven’t had one problem with mine if you know how to stick weld there should be no problem. If you have anymore question I’m free to answer them.

I don't want to be mean now here, but I searched to get some idea what was involved with the removal of the stock bumper on a 98 dodge.
I don't give a crap about some custom bumper that you don't even bother showing any of the actual install of.

Grinded? What you meant to say was Ground. I.E After these welds are ground. Not Grinded!! Also you “sand” with a sander not a grinder. So what you did there was grinding not sanding.
I hate how far these stick out I think I'm just gonna do the 2nd to 4th bumper conversion instead of that Ponokio nose lookin bumper lol
Matt Parks I was going to do the conversion to the fourth gen just personally like this better but the 4th gen bumper makes them look really mean too

1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th gen only refers to a dodge ram equipped with a cummins. A 1500 isn't a 2nd gen. Its just a dodge ram.
