    Definitely liking the angle idea of cutting the channel and angling it back. You could to that to the sides as well and compound it into the front. That would look good to me.

    Maybe some vents so your coolers can get some air flow too. I think putting on a couple shackle mounts would help break up the big blank space. I like this project keep at it and thanks for sharing

    Get some ventilation for the radiator, looks good just the way it is

    Those tow hook/winch things and maybe a light bar or flashing construction lights are amazing when hitting dirt roads. Also some rattle can paint 🤷‍♂️ but over all I like it. Thanks overall very helpful for my 24V!

    Great , air flow in the middle. Heat is an issue with trucks working hard.

    I like it, maybe a little trim and venting through the front kinda matching the grill instead of two like on the grill just one, Just an idea

    I'd literally just throw a quick coat of paint on it, maybe some fog lights and send it! I like it. Big ol' beef cake

    I can see what you are saying kinda feel the same way maybe if you cut 1 set of vent holes like your grill with expanded metal behind on the top end of the bumper and on the bottom end between the rails a spot for a LED light bar and and on the corners a little square for LED light pod to match the light bar. This should break it up enough to make it look better ... good luck 👍👍👍

    Love the vids maybe a winch in the front to break up the sheet of metal. Ken it up!

    I like your idea of cutting the bottom and angling it back...also think some kind of venting would break it up (maybe even just cut in a couple of your logos ??) And the d-ring mounts would add a little to it...I also kinda like the big flat plate push bumper look being a wrecker nut lol

    • @j_moffitt
      @j_moffitt  2 года назад +1

      Kinda leaning towards angling the bottom

    I'd take off the center rectangle piece, and curve it to match to the grill then continue with the style you got. Now I gotta build a bumper...

    I believe you throw some black paint on that bumper it won't look so bad. I'd go with a semi glass black. I believe this summer I'll be building me a bumper for my dodge.

    Reminds me of the tow trucks in the 80s. All you need is rubber conveyer belt to cover it so you can push cars out of the way! Too flat for me. Now you know why all the aftermarket bumpers have 101 miter cuts.

  • @masterflow101
    @masterflow101 2 года назад

    Should've cut it in half and angle it forward in the middle like the grille.

  • @charlieritchel1492
    @charlieritchel1492 2 года назад

    Cut it down about 4" on the bottom and add a 1" strip going down at a 45° angle.

  • @loumenger5472

    I would put a down turn in it all around so that the small tree's and small cars get shoved under the truck, other than that it looks super.

    Prerunner style push bar at the same level as the top so it doesn't kill ya when working under the hood. Perhaps 45 the center section like you did on the side and add weld on D rings where the C channel is. Maybe a light bar in side the bumper but recessed in a pocket that allows air flow for the radiator. Keep up the great work and awesome content!!!

    Grate work bro hey I was wondering what gauge of metal you use I’m going to try to replicate this bumper👍🏼

    With the solid plate in the front is there a concern about how much air flow across your coolers and radiator that got eliminated? Maybe draw out some breather slots and a couple light mounts and see if you like that better.

    • @j_moffitt
      @j_moffitt  2 года назад

      Yeah possibly, we’ll see

    Use the new Hypertherm 45XP plasma cutter and create a little design in the front for aerodynamics or roll the bottom a little so the air glides over it a little easier. The bumper itself looks good, just a few tweaks for the fuel mileage and its ready to go :) Just my two cents worth.

    do you ever disconnect your batteries when weld on a pickup?

    • @j_moffitt
      @j_moffitt  2 года назад +1

      I have but not always. I have been using trucks of different years/generations and welding off the back of them for many years and I have not had an issue. I have read of things happening when you don’t disconnect batteries but for me, I’ve had no issues.

    Okay, can some one expain to me why the 2nd dodges get so much love, they're ugly in my opinion and a lot of people I know agree. I have a 3rd gen Dakota and anytime I look up anything for it always brings up second gen stuff. #love3rdgendogde that need to be a new one. Maybe it's just jealousy but I think the 3rd gen dodges need some more love.
