Great reaction. it chocked me up too. and BTW the dark haired man that tapped Geddy on the shoulder in congratulation as he walked up to the stage was none other than CHRIS CORNELL. and yes.. you must watch the rest of this.. their performance and speeches.
Please watch Jann Wenner surprise from RUclips. He introduces all the nominees. Rush is the last one introduced. Watch reaction of the crowd. It says it all!
Every Rush fan around the world had the same feeling you had Rory. They FINALLY, got the proper recognition we all as fans thought they deserved for so many years. It finally became a reality, and for me personally, I cried tears of happiness and joy for them... not for me... for them. There has never been a more deserving 3 to get this honor bestowed on them. I am also so thankful that this happened before Neil's passing. RUSH-4-Life (and beyond)... R*I*P* Neil
Well deserved. Also props to Dave and Taylor (a goofy lovable kid jumping up & down) for the sincere remarks, just fans excited for their heroes. The performance was fun, too. 👍 Glad Neil was able to enjoy the honor (RIP) Got misty a few times watching both them and Heart being honored (with Chris Cornell doing the remarks ♥️)
I think the majority of Rush fans still tear up whenever they watch this ceremony. I sure do - and normally I'm a bloody statue of non-emotion. Probably someone's already explained it, but it was because the man who ran Rolling Stone Magazine (as well as the Hall of Fame), Jan Wenner, thought very poorly of Rush that the band never even made it on the ballot - despite being eligible many years before they were eventually inducted. Up until this point, Rush was the consensus pick for bands being snubbed by the Hall of Fame. If memory serves, it was only thanks to a small change in ballot selection - which allotted one ballot spot to the winner of a fan-based internet vote - that Rush was even considered the year before they were finally acknowledged. As you'll hear when you watch the acceptance speeches (and - in the process - discover that you've accidentally missed the best part), it was forever a sore spot for fans that their musical heroes weren't getting the recognition they deserved in Cleveland. I expect you'll very much enjoy those speeches. Maybe do it as part of a video reacting to the speeches and the part of the ceremony in which the Food play Overture and Temples of Syrinx in white, Rush kimono costumes , before handing the mic over for Rush to do a few numbers...
you gotta do Dave and Taylor and the band jamming to Overture and Temples of Syrinx during the induction so let's just title this video Part I 😋 Another great pick Liz. Another nice new hoodie Rory 🤣
totally agree with your comm😂ents but did make me cry again - Terry Bozio knew Neil, all the elite drummers would have been closeish maybe Greg lake and bruford aside and of course ginger baker
i'll be taking your journey along with you because I pretty much stopped listening to RUSH around Roll the Bones although I am familiar with a few songs from most of the latter half of their career
RARHOF is UBER Lame, dudes, putting Madonna in but leaving Deep Purple out is the classic example I heard from Eddie Trunk on "That Metal Show." but once in a while even they (Have to?) get it right. It don't get much righter than RUSH!

Chris did a great job with his Heart remarks, too ♥️
The acceptance speech they gave is an All-time classic, I reccommend just watching that whenever youre able to
Blah blah blah 😂
You have to see the start of the ceremony when they announce all the inductees, Rush being the cherry on top. ❤🇨🇦🍁

Rory It would have been fun to see the acceptance speeches by Geddy, Neil, & Alex.
Blah, blah, blah!!

Great reaction!!! 1 Corinthians 1:4 I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus.
I've always liked the fact that Rush's lyrics and Rush's music complement each other- the music speaks the words your hearing Great Fucking Band!

Nobody mentions Phil Collins but he influenced Neil big time. Phil and Stewart Copland are incredible drummers.
Where's the rest of it?
Also emotional was the reaction they got when Jann Wenner read through the names of the inductees. ruclips.net/video/_KLuYXT6QMU/видео.html
The best part!
I have watched that about a hundred times. It never gets old. "And from Toronto..."
I still watch it a few times a month. Always gets me.
That was awesome, thank you for sharing this awesome video Rory!! 😊💓🤘✌️

Rush led off for Zappa in the 70s and I saw them

Wish they would have pronounced Neil’s surname correctly. It is Peert!
You probably felt emotional because you are a human being and you know, deep within, this day should have happened YEARS before it did!
RUSH FANS😎are cool but,
Nobody is cooler than Rory doing Rush reactions!😘
Thank you Liz⭐️🕺
🤟
They were always cool, all those so called cool bands back then were goofy to me. Neil is the best. You have to watch the speech!

you didn't even hear thier speech???
Whats with the hoodie?! Your indoors!? Geez
@@davidmullens7565 what’s it got to do with you?
Rolling Stone hated Rush. I hate Rolling Stone. RRHOF still snubs Kansas, Jethro Tull, Three Dog Night and Grand Funk Railroad!

Take your face off so we can see the whole screen
I can explain. It's because you are a Rush head now! Enjoy the rest of your journey 👍
