You did a great job. Admittingly its a tad heartbreaking to see my idea done by someone else. But I know i dont own it and it's nothing but a good thing for gaming community to see it done in as many ways as possible.
+Shesez hey man, thank you. I know it's really bad timing seeing as how you put out a mario kart video this week as well, but please don't think I am just copying you as we both have different approaches to our videos and cover different things! Congrats on your recent success as well man! If you'd like to talk further, please DM me on Twitter
What a great video! I really enjoyed it! You do such a good job on your script, edit.. everything! Very happy to see a new video, and I am really exited for part 2!
TetraBitGaming i saw the yoshi and you're not crazy. i will support you in my future channel on youtube. ps my favorite battle map on ds 8s block fort.
I believe the TV works by coping the current frame in the frame buffer to a texture, so that when the next frame is rendered that texture in the environment has the same image as the last rendered frame (although it updates slower in this game, it seems to use four textures and update each corner sequentially). it's a fairly common technique that's way less performance intensive then an additional fixed camera, since it only requires the scene be rendered once. it can be used for floor reflections and water too IIRC... I wonder if the slightly lower then expected detail in places (like the square shadow rocks) was intentional to preserve performance during multiplayer?
I think it's unbelievable how simple and efficient many of these games were made and set up and still left such a long lasting impression and lifelong nostalgia. This is also why games are art!
You should just make Unseen Secrets, or Unseen Bits, a new series. You could have Countdowns, Mystery Bits, Lost Bits, Unseen Bits, and random videos - RANDOM BITS (IDK JK). Anyways great video man, and keep up the GREAT work! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving, IDK. Good job, I am missing those classic Mystery Bits though XD. Great channel!!!
I just got this fun game for my Nintendo 64! It was kinda expensive though... Thanks for the interesting video about Mario Kart 64, it was fun to learn some more about it!
I always wondered why those item blocks were underneath the donut course, I always thought there was a secret door or something to get down there, I wasted some much time trying to find it, lol.
Yeah, there is two trains, me and my brother used to play this game all the time! [That was only 3 years ago! o.O] The train was our favorite place, as we would always try to get on it, or get off our karts and ride it, but other than that, i wasted my time in DK jungle trying to hop on that boat.
I'm not sure if I'm correct, but I believe the power blocks spawn in that position on the map and then move up onto the course at random on the first battle level...it's been a long time since I've played Mario 64 so can't remember.
The statue of 'Mario' was actually Baby Mario, so I am assuming that Baby Mario was being considered in some what way, but got scrapped. he probably was going to be a spectator as if the spectators were going to be characters, but never made it due to the N64 limitations but they decided to add them into the Game-cube, but Baby Mario was not seen. I am not sure if this is true as this is just a theory.
Why haven't we seen you use the power ups and weapons and see the camera follow them..lighting, ghost, blue shell,etc..If they despawn or stay on screen. Its be interesting to see different points of view exploring the items.
Not dumb just a tad slow, I just noticed that it looked like a Koopa Troopa when you said it lols. My mind thought it saw something but couldn't figure out what it was looking at years ago. lol. :3

I LOVE YOU SHESEZ! you talk quite a lot, but I LOVE YOU MAN!
Shesez but the 2 of us are awesome!
7:07 "left on purpose as a meme" better words never been spoken.
Are the seagulls at 3:47 rendered in 3D? I thought the assets in the game were all 2D sprites!
+Steve Walker yeah good call, surprisingly they are 3D models!

+Solar3e yeah that makes sense! And yeah that's probably why the rocks aren't so detailed

2:48 You tried that too? Huh, seems I'm not the only one.

TetraBitGaming I remember my days I made videos and I got unsuccessful but I believe in you ! I got this
6:30 if you are talking about the outline, yeah.
4:01 Kalimari Desert, brought to you by: Sand! It's everywhere, get used to it
It's a course rough irritating track, and it gets everywhere.
3:09 you mean MOO've
You and shesez should collab
They should!
+barbecue _brandon that'd be really cool xD but he's much more popular now
i remember always winning this game when i played on the wii, good times
I like how the Mario raceway hills and the choco mountain is just the same texture but different colors
Mario kart 64 has the least polygons in the characters
They have 4, Two on the character and Two for the shadows, they are just flat textures
Love the Bulby remixes in the background
+GrandDad19 {Smash Gamer} :^) he's awesome
TetraBitGaming no kidding!
All these squares make a circle, all these squares make a circle, all these squares make a circle....
There are a few unused textures in the game. You can find them on the origami 64 forums in the other hacking category.
+Awesome Friends Gaming cool, I'll check it out

Nice vid when ur next livestream will be?
+Someone Dude maybe next weekend
6:29 yes I do see Yoshi in the hills
Mario Kart 64 was my childhood video game
YAY I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS
+BlurryDoge thanks :)
Yeah, the hills in Mario Raceway definitely look like a Yoshi.
I love watching lost bits
it blows my mind how few ppl noticed the koopa rock on koopa troopa beach
+runn1nwith5izzorz xD

0:46 so are you basically saying that you stole the Out Of View Camera Trick from 'dat youtuber that created Boundary Break'???
Why haven't we seen you use the power ups and weapons and see the camera follow them..lighting, ghost, blue shell,etc..If they despawn or stay on screen. Its be interesting to see different points of view exploring the items.
What emulator/plugin is it you use that has a free camera mode?
Saw the Yoshi hill. You're not alone
the last map you showed the one with the colors that kinda looked like the nintendo land game for mario
Not dumb just a tad slow, I just noticed that it looked like a Koopa Troopa when you said it lols. My mind thought it saw something but couldn't figure out what it was looking at years ago. lol. :3
Do you think you can make a "Mickey's Speedway Usa" Lost Bits or Live Stream Video? (I know, it's a Disney game, but it's made by Rareware)
6:26 is it just me or does the mountain look like a giant teddy bear face? That’s what I saw the first try xD

TetraBit + Sheesez collab!

Lol the rocks in Cocoa Mountain or whatever are designed like bowling balls
2:58 3 if you count the bottom of the basket.
Nintendo: Let's use our amazing 3D console to make a Mario Kart game. But who cares, let's use 2D sprites.
I can certainly see the Yoshi on the hills
Yes I see it and the hill texture reminds me of Mario 2
How to use the free camera system? What plugin do you use?
What emulator are u using because i want to do this stuff
For some reason, i feel like the thumbnail looks like two luigis fighting over mario
Just out of curiosity, how do you get that free-camera thing? I would like to toy around with it for fun.
+SpookyBlook I don't think I can legally tell you, but it rhymes with molphin
big fan of the snoshi sculpture
Nice video!
+MrYoungrhymes thanks my man!
hey Tetra i found a reference of the 64x64 Faithful resource pack bricks from minecraft
6:21 well to ME that looks like conker the squirrel
whats the song at the start? i recognize it from a special video
A thing Sheez does is pause and move around to freeze stuff.
I saw the yoshi... your not alone.
I wonder if it would've been different if Kamek would've been in instead of Donkey Kong. I wonder if Donkey Kong would've never been in Mario Kart
Hey, can you possibly do one of the free camera things on Wii Ski and Snowboard? I know it isn't a super popular game, I just want to see how it does the rendering. . .
and we ski/family ski
those crabs look a lot like huckits from the new super Mario Bros. games
VERY INTERESTING!
I discovered the item blocks in big donut by glitching the camera through the floor
Before you said "i see a Yoshi" i thought that looks like yoshi
catyoshi 47 nobody cares

No, not yet
Electrodome music in beginning. Nice...
3:24 A 4-year-old couldn't make that in Microsoft Paint, there aren't gradients in that

i see the yoshi! in the hills! or... just the head

The hills DO look like yoshi. You're not crazy.
wow I can't believe you did that in the beginning of the video.

It DOES kind of look like a Yoshi now that I look at it this way.
