Hey, good news there is no second season 😅
Inside Job is Netflix series, Velma is HBO Max series, also Inside Job didn't become popular enough and viewership weren't satisfying, Velma is a total garbage but well it became obviously VERY POPULAR and numbers were really big (hate-watching) and unfortunately, even if something is bad but is watched and making money, you can be sure it's gonna be more of it AND if something is good but it doesn't have enough popularity/viewing - it has a huge probability of cancelled, that's how it works.these days.
I've never forgiven Netflix for cancelling Inside Job.

The first season of Velma currently has a rating of 1.6/10 on IMDB. How the heck a second season was approved/greenlit is utterly baffling to me.

Plus Final Space has been erased from existence. It has a comic book coming out, but it still pisses me off that we can’t see the comic book animated into another season.

Velma should be in the top 5. There's no mystery to solve, the characters have lost their charm and characteristics that we love, and they've eliminated Scooby Doo, the namesake of the franchise. William Hanna & Joseph Barbara are probably fuming.

The fact that Velma is getting a second season is impressively stupid. I don’t know if it was money or blackmail that greenlit this project but somehow this show is getting a second season… god hearing that stupid Shaggy drug joke again still makes me cringe.
Actually, it was given a two-season pickup before the first episode even aired.
It's not weird it getting second season, it's a total garbate but it was watched (hate watching) so it did make money, and if something makes money, there is no matter is it good or bad YOU CAN BE SURE they gonna make more of it.
My prediction for Season 2 - they meet a new student, a Latin-X who identifies as a dog and wears a furry costume.

Top 5 at minimum. It was a travesty and a complete insult to anyone who was a fan of Scooby Doo. It was written by people who seemingly loathed the francise.
In all honesty, that franchise is dramatically overrated.
That’s why it’s a great show. The franchise deserves to be loathed because it sucks. Velma is the virgin it deserves, and it is the only one worth watching at all. Mindy Kaling’s vocal performance is a tour de force for which she deserves an Emmy and a Peabody award.
Velma is the reboot that this terrible show deserves.
"You know what Magnum P.I. really needs? A bland, generic actor with zero charisma, which is the exact opposite of Tom Fuckin' Selleck!!" "Uh, yes sir. We'll get on that right away."
"Oh, and Higgins needs to go from a strict, middle-aged man from the British army to a young, hot woman that should have sexual tension with Magnum!"
Because killing the most interesting friendship from the original show is always a good idea.

How did Velma even get greenlit? 🎉
Simple: 'We want to take this really successful IP, make a version that takes all these things from these shows people say they like, add diversity which people want, and GenZ messaging that gets attention - usually positive while being able to blame people who don't like it for being whatever'. Bigger question is 'How did it actually rate getting released' or 'Just how bad is Batgirl for them to say 'this is not a releasable film'.

And I agree, “Thomas and friends; all engines go” is trash. None of the humor and charm and character of the classic series, not even the fun and storytelling of the CG series (especially when Andrew Brenner was the chief writer of the CG series; he wore the best episodes in that series)

The reboot of ReBoot. They turned it into a ripoff of several different shows. And they never resolved the cliffhanger as promised.
The original cliffhangers were resolved in the 3 parts comic "ReBoot: Paradigms Lost" back in 2011

@@kowell I saw the comic and I stopped reading after Bob got insulted by Turbo and b*tch slapped by Lens. The comic was them throwing us (ReBoot fans and fanfic writers like me ) a bone. That wasn’t what the fandom asked for. Then came ReBoot the Guardian code. I watched episode 10 and that was it for me. It was obvious the producers had no respect for the fans.
Here's a tip for Hollywood...... Stop messing with the originals and remaking everything. GET NEW IDEAS

I grew up watching the OG Teen Titans and GO is absolute trash. They took a show that fans absolutely loved and converted it into a skit show full of stupid memes and toilet humor made to appeal to a new/younger demographic. They even had an entire episode poking fun at the fact that the OG was leagues better than the shit they became today.

A character invented because the core characters on the OG were so boring, repetitive, and one dimensional. They were running out of ideas when Nixon was still in the White House!

Just my opinion, but I felt that the 5-0 remake was really good. It lasted for 10 seasons (almost as long as the original series) so it did SOMETHING right.

I understand why teen Titans Go is hated when compared to the original show.
However as its own show it's a lot of campy fun and in some ways more realistic of what would actually happen if you left a bunch of teenagers superhuman abilities advanced technology and no adult supervision.

Teen Titans Go! doesn't belong on this list with all these much more terrible shows in my opinion. It's only a silly and sometimes even funny kid's cartoon. The fact that Cartoon Network's 2000s Teen Titans is a masterpiece and also a complete other Genre than G0! doesn't change that.
I don’t know why “critics” or content creators keep on misunderstanding the point of teen titans go. It is not a reboot of the Teen Titans. The movie and the animated series are parodies of the superhero genre. You see inconsistencies or what’s wrong with superhero movies/series, they call it out and make fun of it. Like the Martha scene in Batman V Superman, or when they are fighting the brainwashed Justice League, Raven just transferred all of them in a different dimension. They even made a parody of Stan Lee’s cameo, with Stan Lee himself.

To those who aren't aware, Velma didn't actually get a second season, that "second season" was supposed to be part of the first one but Max decided to hold off on it so they can air it as season 2, which means we were supposed to get MORE episodes for each season! 😨🤮🤕
Taking Scooby out of it was the biggest mistake and then shoving political nonsense made it 100 times worse.
But if you wanna be honest, it was a good thing Scooby wasn't in Velma since he doesn't need to be exposed to the show's political nonsense.

One of the rare modern reboots that impressed me was 2019's "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"
Nickelodeon and 2 of the original showrunners involved, good casting, good writing, respect for the original show and its fanbase. The classic spirit felt intact.

Teen Titans GO! may have been, well, Teen Titans GO!, but I'd sooner binge watch every single episode than be subjected to so much as another minute of torture watching Velma.
It’s sad how stinkers of TV shows like Velma who have nothing but hate on it get renewed for a second season, but good shows like Inside Job are canceled after one season despite the positive response from critics and audiences
Having seen both the Old and New MacGyver and Magnum PI I actually like both of them for different reasons
A lot of these reboots/reimaginings really highlight the ONE Key thing that is needed to even dare to make such a thing successful : YOU NEED A PRODUCER/DIRECTOR/SHOWRUNNER TO BE A TRUE FAN OF THE ORIGINAL!
Best examples of reboots that worked were because their showrunner and/or producer knew the original source show and did their best to preserve base elements from the old show, and added new material that enhanced them. Shows like "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" (Lauren Faust), He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (2002 Mike Young Studios, and 2021 Mattel/Netflix), G.I. Joe : Renegades (2010-11 Jeff Klein), and Thundercats! (2011- Michael Jelenic, Ethan Spaulding).
There are several others that hit the mark, but my point is made. If you want to make a good reboot, find your production staff in true fans of the original.

I don't know why Teen Titans Go gets so much hate. I am 43 years old and I feel like it's one of the best mainstream animated shows around. Velma, on the other hand, is total garbage made by actual garbage demons.

I strongly believe that everything happening in Teen Titans GO! happens when the original Teen Titans guys have nothing to do between missions and drama.
I mean, they are teens and they do bunch of stupid and random things.
TTg isn't horrible horrible but it is horrible lol In comparison to TT, it's straight TRASHHHHHHHHHH. By itself, It has its moments. However, some of the humor is low brow with harsh style. Of course not every show has to be great. But because they were rebooted from TT, it made it worse. It's just stupid like Uncle Grandpa.
A quality animated show was Amazing World of Gumball. I was genuinely surprised. It's a really great show. I loved the jokes they did when they had to replace the OG kid VAs. And the music videos they had. It was an awesome show.

@@JODamaramu I'm not saying that everything has to be high quality humor. I gave credit to TTG by saying that it had it moments of hilarity. I'm just saying that because TTG was from TT, it's stupid. If TT didn't come out and TTG only existed then the show wouldn't be so heavily criticized. It took a serious show and turned it into fart jokes.
TTG maybe should've included a different team of TT. That would've worked better actually.
But there is a caution. When low brow becomes popular then everything is low brow. That is what people hope doesn't happen with TV. Its like when reality TV was everywhere a lot of ppl were against it because now there was less quality TV. It's the same thing.
So these reboots suck b/c a) they're too much like the originals with no new ideas, or b) they stray too far from the originals. Make up your mind.
Actually seems they became more woke or just had issues behind the scenes. I saw several of them, and hadn't been impressed with any of them. Sadly I did see most of the originals. Most of them did nor capture the series "feel". Kinda like expecting to be served a five course meal and arrive to find a TV dinner.
Macgyver was actually good af so idk why it's on this list.

There’s no reason to even reboot shows! Velma, 90210, Charlie’s Angels, Knight Rider, and especially The Conners are disgraceful cash grabs!

Well, if you ignore the last 6 episodes and think of Dragon Lord the same way as Shredder from the 80s cartoon, it's not that bad.
That's probably why it's not on this list.
Plus, it's hilarious to think of the Alliance of Evil's forces being held back in New York during the finale by the Turtles, with all the soldiers so embarrassed that they were beaten by a quintet of Turtles and not Power Rangers that they didn't report back they'd been beaten and hoped Astronoma simply didn't find out until after the entire invasion of Earth was completed 😂
Next Mutation isn’t a reboot or remake.
I thought the Magnum, P.I. reboot was actually good. like the chemistry between the characters, the plots and storylines were good, Even the MacGyver reboot was pretty good.
Perhaps for now on, Hollywood should create new shows instead of relying their old i.p
Honestly am glad to see the PPG reboot on here. The reboot was absolutely awful. How it got 3 season, I honestly don't know.

I feel like PPG should now only be a cute anime at this point. I didn't mind PPG Z. I did not like that they weren't sisters. But I enjoyed the show. I hope there are more PPG animes. What they need to do is finally do PPG Doujinshi. That guy has been making that comic for decades and finally left Deviant. It would be great if that became a full blown anime.

MLP:FiM ... a children's show that exploded in popularity and is endeared by fans of all ages and genders.
MLP:Pony Life ... worse than TTG by a country mile.
I find it hard to believe that Andy Dick would be sought after for anything.
Teen Titans Go! was awesome. It was one of the few shows that consistantly made me laugh.
I never saw Velma, and obviously I don’t plan to, but whenever I watch clips, I never get what they’re saying. But when I watched a clip of the ending, I may have smiled. Not because I enjoyed it, but because it was just… Hilariously bad.
Alright list! Now do Top 10 or 20 TV Reboots that are great, if possible.
