Ur knowledge is crazy. Just bought a 172 track car with a few bits done learning as i go
Great stuff, very detailed vid. Awesome little cars these clios.
Cheers Tom! They certainly are, when you say the word Clio, most people wouldn’t understand how capable they are!
Nice to see Arnold Rimmer working with Clios. Kryton was wrong when he called you a smeee, a smeeee, a smeeeegheeeadddd.
Great video looking forward to seeing more 👍 and thanks for no adverts in the middle 😊
cheers dude, lots of videoing over the next 2 months for my build :) I'm not in it for the ads so that won't be happening any time soon!
@@TrackItYT nice to see a video where your not made to watch 3-5 ads, keep up the good work. I'm only a amateur track user but loved my 182 sessions, thinking meg225 powered Clio next or pos vr6 turbo carrado for something a bit different?
Did you do the fuel rail conversion with the FPR on the rail and running a return to the tank?
Ive built a turbo 172 with a fuel return and FPR on the rail as was advised using the intank FPR can cause issues due to being unable to reference manifold pressure....or some such
Cant wait for your turbo build videos to come, out of interest did you even solve why the old engine was burning oil ? mine seems to like to burn quite abit aswell lol
Me neither because it will mean the project is finally done 😂 we did, the bores had ovalled a bit, very odd I know! Best to do a leak off test to try and pin point but the valve seals can go at higher mileage.
@@TrackItYT cars only got 88k, do have a leaky rocker cover but doubt that will cause such a big problem.
Quite, rocker cover would only be a weep and quite unlikely to be rings at that mileage.
Hello, what do you think that I can do to my K7M (87hp) to do have more Power? This in a strong engine and has 350000km rn. (Never gas problema with It)
Hi, great video.
Do you have links to where you bought fittings & line for your oil feed? Thanks.
Hi Lewis, thank you. They were from Merlin Motorsport, Goodridge series 600 oil feed line an4 and matching Goodridge Teflon fittings. I have recently done mine with torques products and it is equally as good but just not rated to the same high temperature.
Hi nice build! If you remember you really helped me out with my cups injector the other year with one of your videos.. well i was wondering if you have any tips on burping the rad after replacing it? Cheers 👍
I remember!! I trust you’ve used the bleed screw on the thermostat housing. If not start with that, then, when the car is running and getting up to temp, pump the top radiator hose by squeezing it to force the coolant to hit the thermostat and open up. That should work a treat :)
Sweet work man, must have been some head scratching at some points of your build. How many man hours went it to it?.
Cheers dude. Yep you’re not wrong there! Doing anything for the first time always takes way way longer. Must have been close to 600 hours if not more! It took 9 months!
Did you say you are running standard cams? I'll be putting a turbo kit on my engine this winter, just after some advanced regarding the spec of engine as I'll be rebuilding it before I put the kit on. Cheers
Yeah standard cams are best for turbo.
You sir, have built a beautiful car. Mine is currently 262bhp, which was 287bhp but it's been backed down due to standard internals. I've got a gt2871 turbo in mine and 1.6mm mls headgasket. Pretty much standard otherwise! Absolutely loving it, when it works.... What other non engine and interior bits have you done? Standard suspension and breaks?
Thanks Ben, it’s Martin’s Car, the noble chap who normally films our videos. It’s got the lot. ASTs, rear ARB, Black series bushes, Standard calipers and RC6 pads are more than up to the job!
Hi mate, i am running ebay gt2071r on F7P stock engine, running 13 PSI and clutch slipped, what clutch do you have ?
My plan is to use 182 flywheel and get helix clutch ( 215 mm ) but am not sure if this can hold 350 hp or it will not.
The car in this video ran a helix clutch which is shortly going to be replaced because it was slipping. They’re rated to under 200lbft so don’t cut the mustard. Have a look at RTS or Engine Dynamics. There is little option but paddle at this level!
@@TrackItYT Are you running the organic or ceramic disk paddles, my car runs more torques than that on the stock clutch.
Good evening, what injector rail are you using? What car is it from or does it have a part number?
Hi Alberto, standard f4r rail non return.
Nice built! What spark plugs are you using?
:) NGK BCR8ES
@@TrackItYT thanks mate
Hello, awesome clio, any mean of contact where i can reach you. I have a clio too and would like to have some information about upgrades
Hello friends, its easy to install the fic 6 ecu?
Yes very easy indeed. I used the clio mk2 turbo install guide from engine dynamics
Hello sir, very interesting.
Hope you don't mind me asking.
Do i understand it correctly that you squeezed over 200bhp just from naturally aspirated engine?
How much roughly this turbo conversion costs? And is it road legal (in UK)?
That’s right, it was about 205 bhp before with Catcams and throttle bodies, sounded awesome. The turbo conversion costs about £2500 but there are lots of other parts which also need upgrading for track use so it is probably close to £3500. Clutch for example will slip with this power
It’s road legal and fully insured
Hello a question did you remap the ecu
