It's very important to make sure when doing upgrades to the firmware with existing setups DO NOT skip updates. You need to upgrade in order so. 15 to 16 to 17 ECT.. failing to update like this can and will make your existing confs damaged.

Willie, Our old UCM6201 finally died completely and I couldn't restore it (let alone have it come up in factory reset in ..2.1. Actually it came up ..122.23 and log in, but that's all it let me do i.e, it wouldn't respond to button clicks.) So here's my question. If we bought a new 6202, could I "restore" it from a 6201 backup? I know the underlying linux OS's are the same, but are there enough differences that would cause the tar file to foul up the new box. Thanks for any advice.
Hi Willie, you can help me please? i try everything i know and i can't reset my PABX UCM6204. it does not accept to update the firmware and does not accept reset, every time I do it it returns to the previous settings, I tried to do the factory reset and also I was not successful, so he restarts back to the previous settings, I saw that it was racked because several "outbound routes" were created for international calls, my firmware version is 1.0.13, I tried to update to all the posters and I was not successful, and I tried too reset directly on the device and to no avail. thanks for your videos.
Hey Willie, love your videos. I had a quick question...do you know if I can take the backup off of my UCM6102, and restore it on a UCM6202? I'd like to upgrade my home office setup and get a supported hardware platform, but don't want to have to reconfigure everything from scratch (two home offices, three home IP phones, three wireless home phones, three DID/DOD's, etc). Thanks in advance, Dale
