Hi ltnabel! Thanks for watching and commenting. Glad you found the video informative. Have a great day!
just Awesome
thank you
Great video Tony. If you get a chance explore all the features of the 2135. It is a fantastic phone. You can setup your logo in the background and assign a multitude of ringtones.
Thanks Dennis! I recently added a second DID, so I hope to have the 2135 ring a custom ringtones when a call comes from that specific DID. That will probably be a few videos down the road. The next video will be basic inbound/outbound route setup.
Thankyou sir
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching!
Helpful
Thanks for watching.
My guess is Lisa changed her number after this video... I appreciate the info though, I use this as a quick reference for the wave stuff. Thanks for your time Tony
Thanks for watching. Yeah, what you saw was old DIDs.
Thank you very much for your time to make and upload this video. Lets say you want your friends outside your network to call your phones connected to your Grandstream PBX inside your LAN. Can you make work using NAT ? Why did you use different port number on your iphone instead of 5060 ?
Hello Tokoia! Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed the video. So, in general, anyone outside of my network can call as long as the PBX is connected to a SIP provider. But I think your question is more specific to “How can someone use the Wave app from outside the network.” I showed using the Wave app using the internal IP address of the PBX. However, you can create a free GDMS.cloud account, link your PBX to GDMS.cloud and use an external URL supplied via GDMS.cloud. Maybe I’ll do a follow-up video on this in the next week or two. To answer your question about the port number being different from 5060, it was assigned by the system not me. Hope this helps. Have a great day.
Hello Tony & thanks for a great video to help better understand the UCM6302 IP PBX from Grandstream and adding phones to it.
Just to understand further, in your video you add 2 IP phone models to the UCM6302:
- the Grandstream GXP1625 & Grandstream GXP2135.
My question - In general can one configure these IP phones to work without the UCM6302.
That is, if I had a SIP account with a Voip service provider, would I be able to simply connect the IP phone into my internet router, and configure the IP phone (enter SIP credentials etc) directly onto the IP phone (via local IP address/browser config screen etc) ?
Hi S S, thanks for watching and commenting. To answer your question, yes absolutely. In fact, I have the second account on two of the phones in my office connected directly to a friend’s 3CX server. Have a great day!
@@QuikTechSolutions so in a nushell , these I P phones always point to some 'SIP server' whether :
- its located across the room (where you specify a local iP address as you did in the video) or
- its on a remote IP address (from a provider etc)
All works either way?
Would you say this understanding is correct?
Thanks again I will certainly start following your channel more often!
Correct! So for example I have a Grandstream model 2135. The first SIP account is pointing to my UCM6302. The second account is pointing to 3CX.
Great video Tony, thank you it was so clear , but i am trying to connect a cisco cp 7821 phone to UCM6202 , the phone still saying phone not registered, can you help , please
Thank you for watching. My suggestion is to set up the extension on the UCM. Then, login to the phones user interface and program the extension information into the phone manually.
I have a question
I installed ucm 6208 on my office with 32 grandstram ip phones its been a year we forget the admin password but I have the config file backup if I factory reset my ucm and restore the backup I will get all the configuration or not because I don't Wana lost my phones extensions setting and outbound and inbound pattern
I'm pretty sure if you restore the UCM using the config file it will also restore the username and password from that config, so you'll be at square one again. Are there any other admin level user accounts on the UCM?
Hi Sir, Hope you are doing great. I want help for adding Cisco 7912 over the grandstream UCM 6302. Its not going into idle mode. Can you please help me out by guiding some steps to achieve connectivity over the the exchange. Will be very grateful to you
Sorry for the delay. I don’t have any Cisco phones on hand. If you are interested in a remote support session, for rates visit my website or email me.
another question
and what i can use such wireless as DP 722 with UCM 6202 and how
Don’t go with DECT phones as it’s old technology. Take a look at the Grandstream WP820 or Wp822 WiFi Phones. Put them on the WiFi, then install just like a regular corded Grandstream phone.
@@QuikTechSolutions I want to use the DP722 with UCM 6202
I don’t have any videos on setting up DECT phones. Search RUclips, there are a few good ones out there.
Hi...
Can I add one analog phone to this PBX? For example, Panasonic KX-TS505
Hello, thanks for watching. Yes, you can add an analog phone using the FXS port on the back of the PBX. Use extension type FXS when creating the extension. Have a great day.
Tony, are you still using your UCM 6302?
Yes sir my friend and loving every minute of it!
hey need help i did as you said but my phone are not registering even though they are grandstream phone
I know you said you did exactly as a I did, but something is definitely missing for the phones not to be registering. Do you have any phones registered successfully to the PBX at this time?
hello,
I have an ip pbx UCM6202 with which I configure several GXP1625 telephones, however I cannot configure the GRP 2602 on UCM 6202
and what there is a solution
Hello, I haven’t setup this particular model Grandstream phone, but it should be the same as the other Grandstream phones. Did you install the template for the GRP 2602 prior to trying to add it to the system?
Thank you for your quick reply
I have configured it but I cannot find its model in the list of telephones offered by UCM6202@@QuikTechSolutions
@@dotcomets1364 login to your PBX. In the left menu go to Other Features, then select Zero Config. Across the top, click on Model Update. Scroll all the way to the bottom to where it says Model Template Package List. You’ll see all the phone models. Locate the template for the GRP 2602 and click the download arrow to the right. Once the download completes, go back to the top of the page and select Model Templates. Click the Add button. Select the GRP 2602 from the drop down menu. Give the template a name and description. Make sure Active is selected, then Save. After doing all this, the phone will be available with all the other available phones.
@@QuikTechSolutions thank you very much
i think this is the correct answer tomorrow i will try
for the update of the GRP6202 model I cannot find models in the list of model packages
and I try to download the firmware of grp6202 but the size of the file is greater than 10 Mega which poses a problem for me of size it must not exceed 10mega@@QuikTechSolutions
I have a problem in the case of an incoming call. The caller’s numbers do not appear. What are the appropriate settings to fix this?
First thing I would check is to make sure caller id enabled with your SIP provider?
Hello
Please i'm having difficulties adding cisco ip phone SPA525G, can you assist
Hey, thanks for watching my videos. It’s hard for me to determine why your Cisco phone is not connecting to the PPX. Let me ask you, did you factory reset the phone before attempting to connect it?
@@QuikTechSolutions thanks for responding.
I've resolved it, it works fine now.
One issue I have now is that some of the IP Phones keeps disconnecting from the network, don't know why.
Any recommendations?!
Please How can I get a hosted cloud PBX account for my business? I have local numbers already for different customers and I want to aggregate their calls to a SIP Server.
Hi thanks for watching. Take a look at 3CX. Have a great day.
All of my Account 1... are blank. I can not choose an extension.
You originally asked how to connect a phone to an FXO port. FXO ports on the UCM are used for analog trunks (the connection to your phone company). To connect an analog phone (non IP) to the UCM you would plug into one of the FXS ports, then create an FXS extension.
