0:27 At first I thought Fox could SDI out of that but then I remembered that Fox is a fast-falling character. A lot of other characters could SDI out of that, but not Fox, which is sad IMO. Still, the fact that Light beat Acola the SECOND time around is insane. Most players still haven't beat Acola in a set despite fighting him more often.
Doing all of this as a character loyalist is insane. No matchup checks, no counter-picks, nothing. Beat him and he just plays better with the same kit next time. You know exactly what's coming and you still can't stop him. Ridiculous raw skill. My favorite player for sure.
Steve has two versions for fair and bair: normal and rising. Rising means that you do the move as soon as you jump. Both rising fair and rising bair use Steve's sword.
I feel like Light’s confidence with Kola is just intimate match-up knowledge. They’re both on moist e-sports. Light definitely does run away with wins but I feel like this specific one started with him sprinting away with it the second he pushed the first button basically.
Eh, I don’t get the cocky remarks. He is, but there are also tons of players in all 1v1 competitive sports that are like that. It’s pretty normal. It’s how they mentally strengthen themselves. He can definitely be a sore loser, but salt is just part of the game, so I don’t hold it against him too hard. It’s not like he’s spiking his controller or openly raging. He just johns. I understand why you wouldn’t like it, though.
@@j.prt.979 Doesn't matter to me if other high level athletes also make cocky remarks, it's obnoxious and they're setting a poor example despite being in the spot light. Same thing with the salt, it's fine if he wants to think that way or tell it to his friends, but at summit he said if he loses it'll be because of a tiny break and when he lost he blamed it on the same thing instead of admitting the loss was because he got out played. Again, if he wants so believe he played worse because of the break, that's fine, but there's no need to try take away from someone's win because they took a break, especially because of protos health issues. It's just insensitive and if I were a Japanese player I wouldn't feel very welcome with the supposed best player in the country making stupid excuses for a loss
@@smugaladdin8372 I dont personally agree with your take on light, but I can understand how its annoying to you. However, genuinely every player, ESPECIALLY top players will do the same shit just after they’ll lose a set on twitter. Even better players like Leo and Sparg0 do it. And when you look at even worse examples, players like Riddles, Zomba, and Dabuz, do it to a much worse extent. Thats just how esports works, and these types of cocky players have kept storylines in the game super interesting for all types of competition.
@@fool8346 That's true that other players tweet that sort of thing a lot, I'm talking more about how he did it at the event on the mic twice. I'm sure other players have done it too from time to time but it seems he makes these boastful remarks more than others. At what I think was last summit before grands vs acola he goes, yeah I'm gonna beat him because I'm the better player, I'm not worried about this (something like that), and it's just like, yeah ok man think whatever you want but saying it on the mic when you're talking about people you don't know at all and have no beef with is just weird in my opinion. I think it's this stuff, and how he literally refers to himself as the protagonist and so many people do too, (which is just beyond cringe) that rubs me the wrong way. The way he acts honestly just makes me want him to lose because of how ironic it is, even versus Steve. He's obviously an incredible player though and his tournament runs are super entertaining. Lost to maister twice as ssc?
@@iv624 that not the worst lose since at that time maister was top 10 here they all lower than 10
What about Marss since he did lose to him at the gimvitational

His loss to Ketchup barely missing the cut by like a month, a year and a month ago

Light is insane
Light is the protagonist.
He might be the the most consistent *player* at the moment.
I wish my fan favorite characters were well designed like Fox.
The editing is really good in this video
Somehow light makes every match up even to him
Larry: fox is soooo bad 😒 worst spacie
Light:
Larry: 👁👄👁
i always assumed light's name was light as in the sun, but i just realized: is it light as in fox is a really light character???
Larry's hair is so sick, RUclips's compression just can't handle it sometimes.
Guys what a better move fox up smash or Steve forward smash
5:03-5:04 why does it look like Steve has 2 back airs cuz the first hit looked like the sword and the 2nd was the pick axe

Light becoming a top 5 player when Marss isn't there to gatekeep him anymore 🗿
