The PFF grade seems a bit superficial. We need a different scoring criteria. Why didn't we (you Jim) grade based upon our needs, rather than prospective quality of draft pic. For example, DE, LB, TE. G, T? We don't need poker chips, we need solid / trustworthy players with proven performance. Free agency matters most.

Boyd will play as much as Bresee played last year. DT only plays about 50% of the time. He's our 4th DT, so plan on seeing him a lot. Ford was taken for next year. Werner, Gay, and the guy from Washington will be free agents next year. The Saints get to look at him for a year and decide if he will be their guy next year. He wasn't taken to play special teams. It's just were he will play this year.

James, let me say this.. OF any teams that should be able to pick a sleeper QB in any of these draft, it should be the Saints for one simple reason. the manning passing academy being held in louisiana every freaking year. plus the direct relationship with the mannings who spend the vast amount of time teaching these young potentials. if the saints FAILED to speak with the Mannings over some or many of these prospects before drafting them, i think that would be a HUGE FAIL. fast forward, Archie happen to have great things to say about Spencer so i am hopeful with some fingers cross.

@@1001011011010 Carr did look better at the end of the season, but it's not like we were playing really good teams at that stage. And the junk-time plays in some of those games have inflated the perception of how good he really was. Let's now judge him by what he's able to do for a full 4 quarters against not only the bad teams but the good teams as well

Unfortunately when your scouting the QB position, 10x more then the next position you focus on their character as a way to project future success.
Physical traits aside, every qb deemed worthy of an NFL roster has the skill set, some a little more advanced then others, but the gap isn't that big.
What sets QB's apart once they get into the NFL, is what's between the ears
Their leadership, maturity, intangibles... Are they gonna dedicate themselves. That's what makes the difference.
Spencer Rattler for most of his life has always been the most talented player on the field. Which is great, but that would cause most of us as children to grow up with a sense of entitlement. Your lying to yourself if you say otherwise
I think he needed this, his story is what I think will propel him to any future NFL success. It humbled him when he needed to be humbled.
The fact that he hit the reset button shows his character. I'll take that 10/10 times
