If you're a hot shot OC and you have Allen or Daniels, etc as your QB you're not jumping to a team that has no top 10 QB unless they are picking in the top 5. Ben Johnson goes to a team that drafted #1 QB. These guys are hedging their bets they will be in a good position as a head coach. My guess it's Moore (since he's never been a HC and he doesn't have a top 10 QB), McCarthy or Rizz that will be the next HC.

I dont think any coaching candidate want the HC job in New Orleans more than Rizzi. So why not hire him? He'll definitely give us 100% commitment and passion as HC. Plus the players love him. He'll maximize the efforts from the players on the roster.

I think the best thing they can do is keep Rizzi and Kubiak for 1 more year and hopefully lose enough games to draft Arch Manning.

I strongly disagree that this situation is not about the Saints. The HC spot on New Orleans is the less desirable on the league. Old roster, cap hell, doubts on the QB, delusional GM… About Joe Brady and young OCs/DCs: Of course you’ll never know if they can be good head coaches unless they got a chance. The Saints are not going to win next year, and the next one, so what difference makes hiring a young OC/DC, and let he build his system, build a culture? The only experienced candidate is Mike McCarthy, and he’s outdated (besides, his last good record was because of Kellen Moore). Rizzi is not going to take this team to another level, but he can make the roster happy until a really good option appears (since Brady and Glenn turned out on the Saints).

Byron Leftwich would be the perfect coach for our situation. He's somewhat relatively on the young side & still developing as a coach personally, but what better way to rebuild while having the time than a Coach who can actually grow with this team and be given the resources and window as you say to do it. No matter who we hire, it's going to be a hairy couple of years to put together but as a fan I'm ready for the positive direction it can possibly take us after.
