Saw him interviewed. Original pickups. New volume pot and the back tone pot is switched to the back pickup. No fret work. Files the nut slots himself. Rest is original.
Yea saw the same interview, talks about being at a place with about ten squires surrounding him and said two of the ten were good, didn't plug it in and figured he'd change the pickups when to his surprise when he went home and plugged in they were good too. Jack's the man
@@knowmusicman157 It's stock. He is famous for playing stock Squiers because he's not an idiot that thinks that they need CTS pots or shitty SD pickups. And he sets them up himself. Don't comment if you don't know, clown. You just look foolish.
Dumb comment but you aren't the first. He sounds the same on that Gibson SG and Squier Tele in the rack back there... He's better than you and me, let's just leave it at that...
@@knowmusicman157 You are a liar. And what amp he is using is irrelevant and he would sound the same playing a $6K Custom Shop Mustang through that amp. You just don't get that a stock Squier properly set up sounds as good or BETTER than an American Fender.
Guitar is pretty stock. A good setup is a necessity for anyone. Yeah it's prob setup at Glaser. Guess what? Yours can be too lol As far as the amp, his playing isn't discounted bc of a cheap or expensive amp lol
@knowmusicman157 You are the one who stated boldly that it was setup by a famous tech. I said yeah...probably at Glaser but that's not a guarantee. He could have done it himself. Either way I'm not sure what you're original point was. Jack is living proof the sound is not in expensive gear
@@jakesMisc I deleted that last post. Sorry. My brain was on another track. I'm 8 hours jetlagged. Anyway, my disagreement with you is not on the setup. But the idea that his guitar is mainly a stock Squire. Especially tuning keys, plastic nut, and tremolo. And possibly pickups and pots.
@knowmusicman157 A new nut is cheap and easy to do during a setup. New pots also cheap and keeps the pickups stock. As far as I know he doesn't change the trem but prob sets it to his preference and usually doesn't change the tuners as far as I know.
@Great-Documentaries you don't know jack poop about what that guitar has or doesn't. You didn't prove anything. You obviously have diarrhea of the mouth. Go take your meds.
He's just like watching some kind of hippie Mr. Rogers effortlessly playing some of the sickest electric guitar you've ever heard. I love this guy.
Just here to read the comments about Jack playing Squier
Do you know that it’s not 100% stock it’s been upgraded. And set up by a famous guitar tech. And he’s not playing through a $50 amp either.

@@johnoch6545 he was not totally honest there. I know the tech that worked on it.

He makes it look so easy.
He's a beast
Awesome interpretation, great talent.
I’m sure you put a smile on Jimi’s face 😀✌️
Too good for the Scene@@😂
Yea man
énorme
Squier Mustang HH 128€
Most of his Squiers are
Looks like a Mustang.
This guitar is not 100% stock. It’s been very carefully set up by a very famous guitar tech. And he’s not playing through a $50 amp.
I wonder if he’d sound any better on a real fender strat?

@ ok document the 2 or 3 absolute proofs I am lying. Crickets….. I own close to 50 Squire products going back to 1982 when they were first released.

Ok go back and read what I said.
I'm not talking about the setup, I'm talking about your contention that the guitar is a stock squire.
It is stock with the except of the volume knob. You go ahead and prove otherwise or stop commenting.

Jack does Jimi better than Jimi...AMAZING.
Exactly!
Aweful
Nah
Yuckie distortion sound...but a fine player....of course vocals are obscured like most audience made videos from clubs etc.
