Wow, what a job guys, I owned and raced one of Australia's fastest R34GTR's and thought this was a Vr38 swap, but after watching your video through, you have done a killer job in creating this, well done. The R35 GTR is a beast of a car and it took a lot less money to make the 35 quick compared to the 34. Man that car ate money to build and race.
Nice interesting project There has been an r34 gtr in Australia with the motor from the 35 fitted for a number of years We are not aloud to “body” swap like this Remember other parts of the world got theses decades before the USA Cheers
so its a r35 with a r34 shell wrapped around..but this also proves that you can whatever you want in america/canada and get it roadlegal..this would have never gotten approved in europe, not even in germany (tuv)
This build is nuts. I really love the all the body swaps I’ve been seeing. Someone needs to do a f80 on a g80 m340i so the f80 can finally sound good as as it looks.
yeah unfortunately old body styles usually never come back in because of safety regulations. safety regs get harder and harder to pass every year, and that often means redesigning structural parts of the car to make them pass said regs. this sometimes means they have to significantly change the body shape of the car to form around the new structural compenents. So unfortunately I don't think we'll ever see the r34 body style really come back. I'm sure we'll see references to body shapes/lines/etc, but nothing new will ever beat the OG body styles of older cars we love.
@@RoadsUntraveled oh yeah I know they had to use a NA spec R35 to do the whole conversion n all so it’ll be LHD. It’s just a bit odd seeing a LHD R34 lol. It’s all good tho
This is the way to go. The RB25 can only do so much HP wise. Hell, switching to the R35 platform has better performance potential than a RB 26, which that car didn't have.
I'm not bs anyone . If I was rich I'd pay 100k for that custom build. 👌 👏 I can't believe someone made a true masterpiece. It's not just a puc on IG its a reality. Absolutely incredible build. However, am I wrong or the headlights were incorrectly wired? The smaller, central mirrors are for the high beans. The larger, outer ones are supposed to be the regular ones.
I had a r34 back in the day for 8 years (Australia) lost love for Nissan when r35 came out. I was hoping a rb28 or rb30 twin turbo. With a r34 look. But they went completely different. And not even in manual. Have a gr yaris rallye now. It's the closest feel newncar that feels like an r34 4wd. @@adamturbo1 Makes sense, but would it not have been easier to do an Rb26DETT swap? Weren't there some of the GTR R34's that came with all wheel drive as well?
It’s awesome but. There is something odd about how the arches look, how they bulge out at the top looks odd somehow, which also isn’t helped by the wheels looking too small for the body. Maybe it’s because the top of the arch sit out further than the tyres and the rest of the arch sits way back from the outer edge of the wheel. I don’t know but as soon as I saw it I thought something doesn’t look right in the wheel/arch area. The rest is brilliant though although I think I’d rather the sound of an r34 over an r35
As someone who loves these cars but doesn’t know a whole hell of a lot, wouldn’t it have been way easier to just swap the R35 drivetrain into the R34 and just bring the oem suspension up to date?
Not sure how I feel about destroying two fully functional skylines (R34 and R35) to make this Frankenstein which appears to have been cut everywhere and welded together. It appears to be less than the sum of its parts. Each to their own.
Yeh id rather have the two working original cars. Cutting the r35 only made it worse as a car, they did all of this for the looks only....even then...makes no sense. B is for build at least used wrecked cars so in that case it made sense.
Awesome build. The internet however has decided that it's a R69, not a R34.5.
This is what I came looking for
😂You tell em
B for build decided that not the internet

He could have just swapped a vr38 into an r34 then trimmed the interior from the 35 to suit, but RUclips clicks it is.
I prefer the RB sound but that's a pretty cool swap!
Imagine then swapping it to 3.4L stroker RB with 1k bhp just to confuse everyone XD

Yes lol

This car is a engineering masterpieces. Its absolutely beautiful.
Well, isn't that just perfection!
So technically you can say the r35 has DNA of the r34.
