It is incomprehensible and heartbreaking to think that someone could do this to their own family. Cases like this make us wonder what goes on in the mind of the perpetrator.

John list didn't go to his son's soccer game and killed him once they arrived home. He killed his wife then his mom and went to the kitchen fixed him something to eat waiting for his kids to come home from school. His daughter arrived first and was shot soon as she walked inside the house. His oldest son arrived shortly after the daughter and he was killed soon as he walked inside the house. The youngest son arrived shortly after that and he was shot but he didn't die right away like the others so he was shot multiple times because he tried to get away. After killing everyone he placed them in sleeping bags in a room cut on music and went to sleep in a different room. The next day he left drove the family car to the airport but didn't get on the airplane. He made his way to a different state changed his name got a good job and remarried. He was captured only because they did an episode on America's most wanted and his next door neighbor and her daughter saw it and said that looks like the guy next door. The daughter called the tip line and the police checked into the lead and it turned out that it was John List the whole time. At first he was denying it saying my name is Bob something but eventually he admitted that he was John List and he told them what really happened and why he did it. It wasn't because he was going to be on welfare or government assistant. He was really mentally ill on top of losing his nice house. The government assistant stuff was never a thought to him. His mother had money to help him. His mental thoughts wouldn't allow him to ask for help. He thought he was a failure in his family eyes and the people at his church. Him worried about what they would say and think drove him crazy
The poor youngest son, who survived. But he's completely lost his immediate family, parents and brothers....
